    you may get a 32 gtr for 10k but i wouldnt expect it to be in very good condition. but you never know what will pop up. interior is a lot newer looking in the 33, engine is easier to get power out of, gearbox is stronger, some people dont like the styling. just go look through the for sale section, see what you can find.

    Just having a look at your avatar dave, how much room is there above/behind the external wastegate? is it going to fit back in with the 30's extra height?

    the exhaust deffinately smells very different (and very strongly) without a functional cat, i can smell the difference just driving behind another skyline if it doesnt have one.

    uh for new injectors you need the new ECU. and with a new turbo you would be silly to do it without an ecu and injectors to actually use the power potential.

    between 4000-6000 stock cams at most some 256 cams. bigger cams are aimed at ~8000+ rpm and remove a lot of low end torque for driving around town.

    220-230kw. but are you willing to risk your engine if the fuel pump fails being 15+ years old and all.

    my car will be being towed up, so we are leaving ~6am, if anyone else is just going straight up the highway you will probably pass us on the way up

    check the bolts for the cam cover are tight, if they are all tight look at replacing the seals on them. (cheap and easy to do)

    start with the cam cover seals and look for oil leaks, then work your way down untill you can see oil on the block/engine if it isnt the covers. look around where the highest bits of oil are for the leak.

    you have a little bit less compression than mine (9.3:1) but you should be on 20psi a little after 3500. <3 the thirty.

    something tells me you have quite a few hours to go before you are in any shape to drive.

    you have seen all of the NEW top gear, there was an OLD topgear where jeremy was nothing more than one of the presenters and it was more dull and factual like fifth gear

    both have their good points, top gear is more interesting to watch but doesnt have any real meaninful information about the cars, fifthgear while not as entertaining does give decent info on the cars they test.

    the 0.82 will do 500hp, pushing it over 400kw is where its a little hit and miss the 1.06 far more reliably pulls the 400+ numbers (on standard 98 pump fuel).

    you could sell off the AVC-R and use the built in boost control with the ECU, with a wired in switch you can have dual boost settings, but with a motor built like that the power isnt going to hurt it. Just leave the boost up and dont put your foot down as far you get the same result.

    for 10k you will be able to get an R33 with 200kw. if you look hard enough you can get them for as cheap as 7-8k

    there is normally enough garrages for everyone you just have to drive a little further if you arrive later.

    Trent, the Vipec software was changed to be like this as of the last release. it takes a little getting used to the new layout but is very simple to navigate once you get used to it.

    Mine has a T piece merging that with the turbo drain, not ideal but it works.

    full dry sump or wet with external pump?

    are you sure that drain is purely for VCT? afaik its just a front oil drain for the head. this is the one on the exhaust side yea?
