  1. just run GTR cams? they are both solid lifters and the poncams are the only ones that retain the VCT. from memory you need to watch out for the oil gallerys in the head next to the lifters when you fit high lift cams.
  2. you need to connect the switch at the top of the clutch pedal up to a digital input on the ECU (get someone electrically minded to do this it requires some rewiring of 12v supply etc), you can then setup the launch control/flat shifting to work when the clutch is pressed. my launch control activates after the clutch is held for 10 seconds, and my flat shifting activates over 3500rpm with more than 50% throttle. all of the settings can be changed to suit how you want it to operate.
  3. arent they a massive scam?
  4. i wasnt aware that it had dual boost maps. Though it ties up a digital input which on the plugin version there is only 6 from memory and they are useful for other things like launch control/flat shifting/switching fuel maps. installing a switch inline with the valves signal wires means you just run gate pressure when the valve isnt powered (if that is what you are after in your dual boost setup.)
  5. is that cassbo's 33? infront of you @ 27 seconds?
  6. what is the old seat?
  7. depends on the workshop. for the ecu + tuning & install on top budget around 3k +/- a few hundred if they run into issues.
  8. the same way you would normally sell a car. Carsales.com.au in the classifieds section of sau allclassifieds.com.au stick a for sale sign on the back of it
  9. nope, GTT/GTST is 80mm, GTR is smaller.
  10. SAU wakefield day is 17/7.
  11. maybe its just a skyline chasis thing, it doesnt seem to matter what engine is in them they still eat bearings.
  12. mac is the brand.
  13. if you put the switch inline with the valve to turn it off so you run actuator pressure yes.
  14. just a standard mac valve, should set you back ~$90 from memory.
  15. i havent had any problems with it, mine gains 1psi in the midrange before falling back to the set PSI by redline, though i am running a single with external gate and havent fiddled with the finer points of the boost control (you can set the mac valves duty for every 1000rpm or which ever intervals you want to set it up as within the maps total cell limit)
  16. NSW rego and ACT rego are two entirely different things. this is the first i have heard of engineers certs having a limited lifetime.
  17. its ebay, anyone can claim it was "dyno proven" just get a bell mouth one, less to go wrong.
  18. yes you will notice the difference with a better dump/front pipe and cat. though you are better off going a bell mouth dump, simple design, works just as well as the split ones without the headaches that some of them have.
  19. that looks like a very spacious man cave. GG
  20. there is an SAU one next month. 17/7
  21. unless the GTT has a good suspension setup id put my money on the GTR winning as you are going to have traction issues in 1st and 2nd possibly even 3rd gear in which time the GTR will just walk away from you. both cars starting at 100km/h would be a different story though.
  22. i thought it was just a little gutter rash, that sounds far more serious.
  23. dont just rule out the fuel pump, on idle the ecu drops the voltage to the pump to reduce noise and if the pump doesnt work properly on the lower voltage the pressure can drop causing the engine to run lean (the ecu has no way to check fuel pressure so it is assumed that its where it should be)
  24. just a few small things to reach your goal. an aftermarket turbo, injectors, z32 afm, tunable ecu of some sort. have you read the RB25 turbo upgrade thread?
  25. what size mufflers have you installed and what size system are you going with?
