  1. Z32 ecu not afm.
  2. just get a large muffler put on the rear. 3" straight through, as large as will fit at the back of the car, a skyline will comfortably fit a 16"x11"x6" muffler on the back and on a 3" system that muffler alone is almost enough to get it legal.
  3. take a look at the federal 595 RS-R tyres, they are fairly cheap for a decent road legal semi slick. otherwise check out http://www.tirerack.com/ they deliver internationally, though expect ~$200 for freight and a $30 international money transfer charge when you pay for them, friend just got some 265 17's Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tyres for just over $800 delivered, the cheapest price he could find one tyre for in australia was just under the price for 2 from the USA even with delivery etc.
  4. search. this comes up once a month.
  5. one muffler thats going to cost him under 300 is 1/3 of the price of another exhaust.
  6. stick the biggest muffler thats 3" you can fit at the back and that should take a lot of noise out of it.
  7. Click me for the R34 GTT service manual, it doesnt cover the manual gearbox but might be useful to you for the other bits and pieces.
  8. if you were thinking of going massive cams sure, but everyone has said a mild setup so far (good response vs power made) and for that kind of engine cams like that are just going to move the power higher in the revs where you dont need/want it with that setup.
  9. whats in the engine does have to do with how reliable it is from a power perspective, you can only push OEM parts so far before they just werent engineered to deal with loads that large.
  10. the dry skidpan is used for stay upright training a lot (has painted lines all over it for that) and they dont like the local MG clubs motorkhana days getting too tail happy before they complain that its making the training hard because they cant see the painted courses.
  11. my jim berry single plate is holding my RB30 fine, no need for these double and tripple plate leg destroying clutches. if you didn't know it was good for 700hp you would swear the thing at best had a heavy duty clutch.
  12. 9.5:1 - 10:1 comp pistons spool rods acl bearings nitto oil pump tomei poncams lots of head porting + oversize valves hypertune intake + etm exhaust manifold nismo 740cc injectors GT3076 0.82 external gate 3.5" exhaust from the turbo back Tuned on E85 or 98 with a water meth injection kit.
  13. you are just like a big kid that has to pull everything new appart to see whats inside should go well once you get it all back together again. Dont fret the clio thing, they have crazy short gears. stack a few more km/h on though and you should leave it behind.
  14. we will be bringing spare fluids and a chest of tools possibly some other bits and pieces should something minor happen.
  15. southern motorworks, but they are in NSW. on the vipec site this is the listed dealer, you could ask them who they recomend to do tuning if they dont do tuning. Glenn Campbell Wangara, 6065, WA Ph: 041 88 22 444
  16. mine took 1 day and 1 morning to check the cold start was all good.
  17. 3540 and 3582 are the same turbo. thats a freak engine if it can do that
  18. that has to be a .63 thats 3076 territory on a 3L
  19. read through the RB25 turbo upgrade thread at the top of this forum and have a search through here. you should be able to find most of the info you need in the turbo upgrade thread though.
  20. Jim berry full monty, caramic button with a sprung centre. feels like my heavy duty organic pedal wise except a little more bitey. good for 400hp+ cost from memory was $1350 without a trade in on the old clutch.
  21. no sau day then? whats wrong with the current RB25?
  22. id hate to think what that beer was doing to your insides if it did that to the wheels. though to give it credit that is a nice finish on them.
  23. i know its a crazy idea and all but you could just drive at the speed limit.
  24. oh, i read through it 3 times and missed it if the local tuner isnt that familiar with turbo jap cars look at taking the car to someone that has dealt with them and the vipec/link computers before.
  25. but do you have an after market computer in the car? if you dont there is your problem.
