  1. i dont see why the road toll is that much more important than natural causes or smoking, they both make the road toll barely register by comparison.

  16. even when locked you should be able to connect to the ecu, you dont need to data log or modify settings to see what the TPS % is showing.
  17. My lack of AC isnt because of the oil cooler its to do with the turbo setup. still lots of room for the AC there.

I went and had a chat with the local exhaust shop as i needed to get a euro 3 cat for the emissions test, using a rough guestimate on required materials i can make my own custom 3.5" catback with two large mufflers for about $1000. Thats assuming i can fit decent sized off the shelf mufflers under there. So for about the same money as a jap catback i should be able to get pretty close to legal DB.
  19. The smaller the pipe the more energy the compressor wastes to draw the air in past the restriction. What you want is a nice pipe with minimal restriction to it (reasonable size with a good filter).

  22. Speaking of exhaust system i/my brother might have to make a custom 3.5" cat back. i cant find any that are close to/are legal DB wise (or would be with a small amount of modification). I want to try and get something that will allow 400kw and still pass an exhaust sound test. Keeps the neighbours off my back and avoids any unwanted attention (not that there will be much to pick on with the thing engineered)

  24. i think a 3071 would be seriously borderline for exhaust turbine flow @ 7500-8000rpm. the 3076 makes a great combo boost starts properly building at 1500 and takes off at 2500 (thats a friends supra (3076 0.82 rear/6boost mani/44mm external gate) but an RB would be similar). maybe you should go something like that on yours steve? it hauls ass out of corners and is so smooth in its power delivery.
