  1. aftermarket ECU my RB30 has had an aftermarket ecu since it was installed never used the stocker on it. Its still running the GT35R tune too and runs surprisingly well, no knock issues and the mixtures are good. Havent had to touch it at all, except when it blew a cooler pipe off and was running on 4 cyls, still drove ok like that though go map sensor ecus
  2. i dont think cams will get you 1500rpm when .5L only gets you 1000rpm sooner.
  3. i currently have a stock 25 turbo on mine, great fun at street speeds though its dissapointing over 3k and horrid over 5k

  6. my 35 shouldnt be too bad at wakie. its the traction out of corners thats going to be the big issue i think.

  8. Mine is mounted on the passenger side just infront of the radiator (no aircon) seems to do its job fine there.

  10. mine currently gets 19-20psi a little after 3500 in 4th/5th
  11. i did the math a while ago and to run 350kw you needed 18 of the largest LPG injectors that were on offer. not to mention a computer capable of controlling all 18 properly.
  12. you would be surprised how little time the stock ECUs give the engine before reverting to closed loop cruise and pulling it back to 14.7:1 they cant run it rich for long as it hurts the emissions tests they have to pass and destroys the cat.
  13. my car has a rebuilt engine, larger turbo, injectors, map based ecu etc. it gets about 15-20 seconds for the oil pressure to come up and then i am off (obviously not thrashing it) and this has only happen when there was a couple of cells out of whack in the tune that meant it ran super lean and lost almost all power as there was next to no fuel going in.
  14. id swap my no rego issue for the intercooler one. possibly even the unknown issue one too.

Racepace said they make the exhausts mainly so race cars get good high flowing exhausts that dont get them kicked off tracks for breaking DB limits, they dont guarantee that it will pass a noise test. The jap companys (and most aftermarket exhaust companys) are catering to a market that 90% of people who buy them want more noise not less/the same as factory. Japan also has a 92db limit so factory they can be louder than here.

  17. you read the RB25 upgrade thread see what everyone else has used to get there and budget around that. this isnt an uncommon question and there is lots of info in this forum about whats needed to get there.
  18. i had a talk with them already they would need the car and they are well out of my budget price wise with travel etc
  19. does anyone know what muffler configurations these exhausts have? i need to get a 3.5" exhaust with large mufflers in it and its cheaper to get a jap cat back and change the rear canon to a large muffler than get a custom made exhaust if there is already a decent sized mid muffler (not a hotdog)

  21. HKS designed the 2530's Garrett build them for hks then after X number of years Garrett is free to copy them if they want to.
  22. will see how mine goes with stock DET springs and cams when i find the money to change a few bits around (map sensor, exhaust, intercooler, few other bits and pieces) and get it retuned with more booosts
  23. the combo does get fun above 4k
