  1. i used silicone replacements that match the factory ones. the bottom hose doesn't change location and the top one only needs a little bit of length trimmed off so it isn't kinked.
  2. detonation causes pitting, they look like impact marks
  3. When you get a chance to run it up on a dyno could you overlay the race car graph on top as a comparison for low down torque? will be interesting to compare it to the 3L.
  4. larger plug gap is better but harder for the coils to give a good strong spark
  5. hope you have some spare $$ sitting aside. it can be expensive.
  6. i am yet to hear of someone with a working 30 that they haven't liked.
  7. why not just go with standard copper plugs?
  8. the link indicates its just like a water spray system for your intercooler except more expensive to run. none of the nitrous goes into the engine.
  9. N1GTR, i downloaded it off the internet. im sure you can find them if you look. National.Geographic.Megafactories.Lamborghini.HDTV.XviD-YT National.Geographic.Megafactories.Audi.HDTV.XviD-YT there are probably others but i am not sure of the exact names.
  10. his exhaust is custom made, not an off the shelf item.
  11. possibly random i am?
  12. option 3, change the mufflers in the system so it isnt as loud.
  13. you are taking a turbo capable of 400kw and putting a restrictive rear housing on it that makes it struggle to make 350kw and is laggy compared to a 3076 which makes a tad less power with lots more response.
  14. lambos come off the production line and directly into a dyno room according to the mega factories ep, after the engines are assembled they are thrown on an engine dyno also. though they never say what kind of fluids are used when doing it.
  15. Rolls, audi and lambo have a "mega factory's" ep dedicated to each one. i believe they cover running the engines for the first time.
  16. i think this clip is better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Suw4U1XOLJE...feature=channel some of the ads are fairly average some of them they pull off quite well.
  17. if the cam covers vent to the intake there will always be some oil in the intake, clean it up and drive around for a week then check it again. if the turbo is blown there will be lots of oil in there again. (all cooler pipes and intercooler core)
  18. you have a hoist to work with? all i have is pits
  19. weld up a trolley to sit the welder and bottle on. so you don't have to disconnect it.
  20. bonnet bulge for the exhaust manifold?
  21. will be interesting to see the piping, from memory the intake is at the back of the unit and the output on the front/top of the unit. will this make the exhaust hard to fabricate?
  22. which ever one your tuner is best with.
  23. i thought that thing was running a jun 2.7 and 1000hp years ago? why the replacement engine?
  24. is this the JUN that was originally a Canberra car?
  25. this thread is from 2007. GG
