  1. id suggest you look into getting a commodore, cheaper and will do the job well.
  2. buy a kit. what you have described is bypassing pressurised oil back into the sump instead of where the pressure needs to go.
  3. and for the lazy folks here is the above link.
  4. you can try it on a dyno if you want to, the power difference between a decent highflow cat (fully functional) and some pipe where the cat would be is going to be very similar you will more than likely find a difference of less than 10kw. sure there would be a much larger gain if you only had a stock/compliance cat with an engine/turbo setup for 300kw @ the wheels. but if you are going to spend money to get that far how is spending the small amount for a highflow cat that hard to justify?
  5. this is a far better system, because only the user/occupants can hear it. so it doesn't annoy everyone else on the road.
  6. you do not appear to understand how the factory boost control system works, if you believe your turbo that is capable of 240kw is more responsive than the stock turbo. which when using just a simple boost T or the always high boost mod will be all in before 2500rpm you also need to look into your suspension/tyre/driver setup, you shouldnt have serious traction issues when launching properly in 2nd gear or when changing from 1st to 2nd.
  7. VK56VD + TT mmmm
  8. they sell them without tips so its just a pipe. see here http://xforce.com.au/cars/view_car/29
  9. personally i would go with 2 large oval mufflers for a quiet system that still makes full power.
  10. if you want a direct bolt in replacement look at a Tomei or Nismo pump.
  11. except for the fact you wouldn't be able to turn left with nearly as much speed as you could turn right
  12. go to motor spares, should be less than $30 for the set of 6 Your current ones are heat range 6
  13. he already has an aftermarket turbo on there (KKR) so either way there will be modifications.
  14. BCPR7ES plugs here (near identical engine setup) sub $30 for 6 plugs, just check them at each service it is only a 10-20 min job.
  15. swap the sensors from the stock throttle body onto the Q45. that's what i did and it just plugs straight into the loom.
  16. i have a http://wbo2.com/home/default.htm wideband mounted in the front pipe ~30cm infront of the cat, has been running like that for a couple of years now
  17. why not just jump in with the supra people, so far they only have 10 people which doesn't make for a huge day.
  18. http://gcg.com.au/turbo/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=7 that is the model you want.
  19. that turbo wont physically bolt up to a skyline manifold. needs to be T3 not T25.
  20. you dont get a GT35 to run 300kw, it is a 350-400kw turbo.
  21. i am saying go a full Garrett spec one, rather than an aftermarket rear housing option.
  22. get a real 3076, will make more power with less issues.
  23. are the breathers sucking or blowing at idle? one way valve disconnected/blocked when testing?
  24. stock cat is what 2.5" tops? yes it will be a restriction. drop the cat back on the dyno do a run.
  25. you could be in for a chance at top 6cyl NA
