two days ago the battery light came on in my car. Checked the voltage and it looked like the car was running on the battery only. I have just installed a replacement alternator and the issue is still there that the battery light is on and the car isnt making more than 12v.
If you run the car with the jumper leads connected to another running car it idles/revs fine if you disconnect it the fuel pressure drops and the car leans out (i assume thats to do with voltage)
do you think i have gotten a faulty altternator or is there some other electrical issue that people know of that would stop the alternator making any current?
the RB30 engine has no issues with revs
my 30 is currently limited to 7500rpm as i only have the stock ballancer
AL's 30 is limited to 8000rpm with an aftermarket ballancer
both engines are forged and all the internals well balanced.
or there is the rips engine massive power and stock internals (with some prep work) and occasionally hits 10000rpm
your power band is going to start around 3500-4000rpm, if its built and balanced properly why not go to 8000 the turbo isnt going to have any issues with the revs.
i wouldnt reffer to a T04Z on a stock capacity 26 as responsive, if you want boost at 3000 look into a GT3076 with a 0.82 rear however on 98 pump fuel it will be limited to ~320rwkw.
any particular reason you want 380kw?
if you use the 3M industrial stuff it is strong enough (the cheaper generic stuff may not work as well). donnan has cable ties as well just so it looks like something is holding it there
