  1. 2.5" piping will be fine and it will still be fine at 300kw.
  2. 2.5 years >.>
  3. yes i have the V44 plugin. i haven't had any issues with the wasted spark setup, guilt-toy has more power than me and he hasn't had any issues that im aware of either (same ecu)
  4. its 8 injector drivers and 4 ignition drivers. you use 6 of the injector drivers to drive the injectors the other two can be programed to do other things, in mine one does the thermo fan and i think the other does the idle solenoid and 3 ignition drivers to run the wasted spark ignition. http://www.vi-pec.com/page_files/QuickTune.html You open quicktune from within the vipec software http://www.vi-pec.com/page_files/software.htm i have this hooked into my car running wideband closed loop http://wbo2.com/2j/default.htm and it was also used by the tuner with quicktune.
  5. the op is talking about water meth injection, the whole point is to have water in the mix 51% water to 49% meth should give a fairly fire resistant mix to make it safer for street use.
  6. quick tune is free to download. There is nothing stopping you using a seperate MAP sensor as an AUX input should you want more than 22psi
  7. $5 worth of reflective tape stuck onto the brake lights got it passed but they made no difference to how reflective the lights were and meant i had to book in for a 2nd inspection at a later date (it was a COMPLETELY stock VS commodore all the way down to the factory tape deck and steel wheels with hub caps)
  8. they are like that. they couldn't find anything wrong with my car so they got me for not having reflective enough brake lights (as in the reflectors in the brake lights).
  9. yes you will need to losen the front housing so you can align it properly with where you want it. make sure the oil feed into the turbo is facing straight up
  10. is this similar to the one i saw you at ages ago?
  11. you would also need the rods and pistons to suit
  12. GTR afm's will suit. the other afm's are larger and wont just bolt on.
  13. mine was/is doing the same thing (too much oil to the ball bearing turbo) and i have put a much smaller restrictor in so far i have not gotten any plumes of smoke. before it would start pouring smoke out the exhaust like a smoke screen if you took it above 5000rpm and then as you backed off and came to a stop it would spew oil smoke for another 30 seconds or so as all the oil burnt off in the exhaust before going back to normal (which hopefully means it didnt blow the seals on the turbo) if it is the valve stem seals it shouldnt be occuring while on boost only the over run/idle/cruise as thats when there is vacume to suck the oil past the seals.
  14. in that case use the RB20 cams both heads use hydraulic lifters so there wont be any issues there.
  15. its a step backwards, leave the stock cams and VCT alone unless you are not running an ECU capable of controling the VCT.
  16. at which point you have paid twice for something you only needed to pay for once.
  17. i wouldnt put KKR in the "good budget turbo" section. id stick it in the "cheap china section".
  18. talk to proengines he can tell you what you require, my rb30 is RWD.
  19. there is a thread dedicated to the 4wd conversion at the top of this section. you can pick up a 4wd adapter plate from proengines he is a member on this site.
  20. the nistune has on the fly tuning.. who ever told you it didnt either lied or were misinformed.
  21. Donnan's car at the mitchell shops.
  22. this kind of compressor surge is bad.
  23. i pulled the stock sensor off the original throttle body and put it onto the Q45, then its just two screws that hold it in place get a mate to watch the computer while you move it around to get the correct throttle closed % (and make sure it hits the correct fully open %) mine closed sits on 0.1%
  24. if the stinger only has 4 injector drivers dont use it on a 6cyl engine, you need to batch fire the injectors so you end up wasting heaps of fuel. providing the tune is good there should be no reason for it not to be just as good using nistune as using the haltech
  25. nismoid is going off 98 you are going off E85. whats the point of the argument?
