its not necessary to balance the engine but i got mine balanced when i got it built (for the price i figured i might as well) to +/- 0.05g and the engine feels like it just wants to rev, though it only has a 7400rpm limiter on it at the moment.
no, valves are a head off job especialy if its broken one or more, you have no idea what it has done to the piston/bore.
you are thinking of valve springs which can be done with the head on.
There may have been a little boost. i saw a left lane ends sign and didnt want to be stuck behind it untill the next overtaking lane, what i missed was that there was about 1km of overtaking lane left

the MFDs map sensor is completely different to the apexi boost control map sensor. There shouldn't be any issues other than the boost display not showing up correctly on the MFD
