cars with map sensors work on volumetric efficiency, any changes you make that effect that (ie changing the turbo) can mess up the tune massively.

he already has a belt to suit, just not the way he has positioned the tensioner -
you dont have issues with bonnet clearance with RB30's unless you are running a 500+kw turbo on a manifold not made to suit it (ie, the flange sits lower/further infront of the strut tower)

my manifold is only running a 50mm wastegate and has no problems controlling boost so far.

there are only two midnight purple 33's that i know of on the forums and troys doesnt have chrome wheels. -
your gate isnt open when the turbo is spooling up, either way the exhaust gasses are going through the turbo

pull the spark plugs and check which ones show signs of oil. If its only one cyl that is showing signs of oil it could be that one of the valve stem seals is leaking
