  1. A sensible setup. 250-300kw is really the perfect setup for the 25, not so much that its unusable without jail time and sensible enough that you can still use it normally without it being a complete pig. My evo 7 had a 3082 with a 1.06 rear on it, it was a complete dog below 4 and didn't hit full boost until 5.5. Ridiculous turbo choice by the previous owner, hilarious and fun but ridiculous none the less. Was much better when I changed it to a high flowed stock turbo, was all on at 3500 and made almost the same power.
  2. I think you are looking at his middle muffler?
  3. First thing would be a flex joint, as it looks 100% solid from turbo to tip? Any movement of the engine trys to move the whole exhaust with it. If you really wanted to be sure, add a flex joint and V-bands instead of the two bolt flanges.
  4. It's just where I would have expected the gaskets to leak if the exhaust wasn't supported in the middle properly and was sagging
  5. So that was a 3071. Wasn't sure if it was the 71 or 76
  6. High power supercharged RB would be interesting but ultimately a gtx3071 bolted to the stock manifold would get you the same 300kw but a fatter midrange as you get full boost earlier.
  7. Except that centrifugal superchargers make linear boost as revs increase. Less revs you have the less boost you get.
  8. It comes down to where you want the extra power. If you want all the torque where you drive everyday, turbos can't match the Supercharger.
  9. Are you using the front hangers for the exhaust?
  10. The Supercharger on the lsa is a 1.9L blower, the heartbeat one from Magnuson is 2.3L. They have to spin the little 1.9 hard for their 507 kit.
  11. If fuel economy is a concern, a positive displacement Supercharger (what Magnuson offer) will use more fuel all the time. It will make a lot of power in the low to midrange but will lose out up top to the turbos or centrifugal superchargers, the advantage being positive displacement superchargers are almost lag free and make near their full boost a fraction of a second after you open the throttle enough to close the bypass valve. Just depends what you want, the positive displacement Supercharger will feel like you have a couple extra L of displacement, the turbos or centrifugal need you to get the revs up a bit before they show what they can do so they tend to be similar in the midrange and then take the advantage in the top end. Install wise, Superchargers are much simpler than any turbo kit.
  12. It's 20 years old. Something is always going to be an issue
  13. What's to say that car even has the kit? Could just be a photo they found of the generation of car they are marketing it for.
  14. Twin 2871 turbos on a 6l engine. Thing would be on boost just off idle. That would made silly amounts of torque.
  15. Clean souls don't put turbos on the plate.
  16. commission on the sale. Not the discount.
  17. I know an old boss used to do a lot of "preventative maintenance" to his Ute, and it always ended up making more power or being less sensible in some way afterwards. As far as I am aware it was all/partially claimed back in tax, how legit that is I have no idea though.
  18. Subtle hint that there should be an asko in trevs life
  19. Can cast iron be tig welded to cast aluminium now? I thought you needed friction welding or some other impractical method to weld those two together [emoji14]
  20. Can't tig weld the Mani to the head. Can't fix everything
  21. Emphasis on the U? Like hooey?
  22. But is your name an easy couple of characters one or does it have like 7 characters making it all but impossible for someone that only speaks English to know how to pronounce it? Or is this even after it has been romanised?
  23. "slightly rashed" Yea. Right. Maybe if you squinted and were looking at a different set of wheels.
  24. Poor Alvin [emoji17]
  25. Clearly you just don't appreciate how rare the Hyundai getz gtr is. It's a 1/1 worldwide. Will be highly collectable in the future.
