You can get boost actuated valves if you wanted it to be simpler? But means you have to have forced induction. Exhaust cut-out valves are what you want, it's just a dump to exit the exhaust where ever you want. But they all leak a little so if you don't take it far enough back you are going to be smelling it.

Or just buy an electronic exhaust cut-out valve?

Basically. Couldn't he just get an axle back exhaust? Just replaces the two rear mufflers, easy to swap back if he has issues.

They aren't illegal as such, but have to meet noise requirements with the valve open.

With a few small mods it's good for an easy 350kw, let alone 200kw

Arp studs, mls gasket. It had rods and pistons as it was a 3L build and I wanted the compression to be higher (9.3:1)

I made near 400kw with nothing but better valve Springs to hold more boost. No porting or cams or valve upgrades, not even port matching, Just extra boost. 394kw @ 26 psi on a 25/30. Gt35r (2007 spec) 6boob manifold, 3.5" exhaust with 2 massive mufflers so it was 90db @ 3500rpm, 4" intake, 3" intercooler piping, 4" Chinese ebay intercooler and a legit greddy intake manifold with q45 TB. Everyone needs to stop being so girly with their boost levels, turn it up till it stops making power not some silly oh I can't have more than 20 attitude. Learn to not fear the boost but instead embrace it and make bulk midrange power with all that extra air.

Quality parts direct from China's sweat shops to your door. Those children just have no sense of pride in their work they are paid $2 a day for.

I went so hard I melted the waste gate lines and went harder.

Pffft I had more than 42psi and it didn't bust, it just threw raw unburned fuel out the exhaust as it was so rich and timing was so retarded. It made more than 42 but I don't know how much as that's as far as the map sensor read. Still made 300kw at the wheels while doing it too.
