  1. Is the 20b in yet?
  2. That trev bloke tho.
  3. I had 400kw with the stock reg and rail. It's at idle/low load etc that the reg is going to give you issues if at all, as that's when it has to bypass the most fuel flow and when it's working the hardest. It shouldn't be bypassing much at high load as the engine is using it.
  4. Yes, but e85 makes for a decent amount of extra safety for not a lot of extra effort/cost.
  5. If you can settle for less power, a low 300kw rb25 is a lot cheaper to build/run reliably than a 400kw one. You can even skip the whole rebuild the engine drama if you want to (head gasket is probably a good idea along with better valve springs if you are running decent boost), lots of cooling (engine and oil) and stick to e85 or add wmi for safety when going harder on it.
  6. I had one on a 30, again for packaging reasons. If you have something else to spend the money on, Buy that instead.
  7. Advan ad08r great dry performance. Better than you would expect given the amount of tread they have wet weather performance. In the same category as the re003 is also the hankook rs3 I have the 595 rsrr at the moment, but they have some incredible road noise, good grip and cheap, but you don't want to be cruising down highways/motorways on them.
  8. Emissions controls for the Rb are all related to the head. Mine was engineered with a high mount gt35 and 3.5" exhaust (big mufflers, no cheats to make it quiet), but mine was done years ago and I also had to go get it emissions tested. E85 and a nice big 400 cell cat or two helps make that easier.
  9. Mine just had some brake line bent up to make it.
  10. That barra engine wasnt in a skyline with skyline diff ratios and had an extra 400+ kg to move. Both of those things together make a big difference.
  11. Will make it on the.82, I had 394kw with the non gtx version, was on 25-26psi But expect it to no be doing much until 4000-4500rpm
  12. 4" dump, 3.5" cat, 3.5" mid muffler, 3.5" massive 18x12x6 rear muffler. Both just off the shelf straight through glass packs from an exhaust shop, did a little shy of 400kw just fine on a 35r years ago, dyno sheets somewhere in the rb30 threads I believe.
  13. Are we supposed to hear anything back before paying? I haven't heard anything since I filled out the form on their website?
  14. Sins just jealous that he isn't in the gungahlin area like all the cool kids.
  15. come to the gungahlin side, we have cookies.
  16. i have had both the 2j1 and the 2j2, the 2j2 was on an evo for 2 years before i sold the car, i can only assume its still in there, the 2j1 is in its 3rd car and has just needed the sensor replaced a couple of times, but a new sensor is only $100. it does your narrow band simulated output too, i was using it in my skyline as well as the wideband feed into the ecu. http://wbo2.com/2j/default.htm
  17. with the split pulse rear housing it will be about half way between a 0.82 and a 1.06 non split in terms of when it comes on, you can always go to a smaller rear housing later if its no good for you, its a bolt off/on job if they are both split pulse.
  18. power goal is too high if you want anything responsive, but that depends what you feel is responsive a t51r kai on a 3L doesnt wake up until 5000ish a gt35 on a 3L (with 0.82 rear) wakes up at 3750ish i have only had experience with the 3L and those size turbos, obviously you arent going to get going until later still on a 2.6
  19. a gtx35 isnt in the same power bracket as a t51r kai? one is a 450kw turbo the other is a 550kw turbo.
