  1. Costco had really good prices for Pilot Sports a couple of years back when I bought them. Call them to check.
  2. What did you guys use to cut the ACL heat shield material?
  3. Costco Melbourne.
  4. Centreline if you are in the north.
  5. Now, full 2.5" vs 3" is a lot more understandable. What about: Full 3", including 3" exhaust tip, Versus Full 3", with 6" exhaust tip. We know 6" exhaust tip will be louder. But what about power along all the RPM?
  6. As you go along, can you kindly list items you have bought or modified in order to get it running well? It would certainly benefit the whole community.
  7. Was really considering an EFR 6258 for my SR20DET. However, it seems that there are too many components that need to be changed. The benefits do not outweigh the cost, and time required, as compared to cheaper, easier bolt-on offerings by many other companies. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=479236&view=findpost&p=6116863 It's disappointing, and unfortunate that this is not a logical choice for people with SR20DET. Something the tried to convince throughout, and in the final 30 seconds.I sincerely hope to be proven wrong.
  8. Thank you. This is from the article:
  9. Bigger is better for peak power, and creating more noise. I would appreciate it if you can show me the article that says bigger is better for all rpms. The link I posted earlier does include tests on turbo cars as well. http://www.team-integra.net/forum/blogs/surferx/25-exhaust-basics.html http://www.team-integra.net/forum/blogs/michaeldelaney/26-advanced-exhaust-tech-i.html http://www.team-integra.net/forum/blogs/michaeldelaney/103-advanced-exhaust-tech-ii-backpressure-area.html
  10. http://www.team-integra.net/forum/blogs/michaeldelaney/103-advanced-exhaust-tech-ii-backpressure-area.html So you are saying that putting a 5" exhaust is better? From my limited experience and knowledge, it's about velocity of the exhaust exiting. Blow on a thin straw using X amount of force vs a thick pipe. Which one has gas escaping faster? Then blow 10 times harder, and the thick pipe will flow better. 2.5" at the end of the exhaust is definitely different from having it in the middle or upfront. In the end, it depends on how much power the car is making, and where in the range the power is wanted.
  11. Honestly, removing that restriction might net you a few KW on top, but it will be louder, and you might lose some low down KW.

    Car Detailing

He just have raw passion for detailing! +1 for Final Inspection.
  14. Would a wideband sensor and knock sensor help with the safety aspect of this tune?
  15. Wonderful news: http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-news/the-...00324-qv7k.html

  17. I called 1 automative aircon servicing workshop and asked for hychill. The guy told me hychill was banned in 3 states. I was like what... Not that I believe him. He was pretty against hychill for sure. Kar Air does the aircon servicing for $99. No Hychill though. The hunt for a good place with hychill continues.
  18. Lucky you! Damian is probably the best Detailer in Australia. I heard that a car from Dubai is being sent over for a Concours level detail. About AUD12.5K for that level of detail!

    Blue Wave Carwash

I doubt it, but if it's, I'll give it a shot AFTER looking at their processes and equipment.
  20. Final Inspection at Brunswick can probably get them in. But I won't recommend this as a long term solution to car washing as it will definitely cause more scratches than the traditional washing method. What cloth you use matters of course. Recommended washing process http://www.detailaddiction.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=81
  21. Can you please PM or SMS me the address to send the shocks to? I still havn't received it.
  22. One of the best in Melbourne. 4k for normal full respray. Damian at Final Inspection inspects many cars that have paint done and he reckons Mr Gloss finishes the car extremely well.
  23. I've PMed you last week and called you 3 times too. I'll call again.
  24. I've purchased Sydneykid's S15 coilover kit last year and had it installed by Centreline at VIC in the middle of last year. Then months later, noises came from the less side of the suspension. I asked Chasers and they said it's 'normal'. However, I brought the car to Trutrack 2 weeks ago and they said there's shaft movement from the left shock. Tried contacting SK on the forum-PM + thread post and mobile, but I can't get through to him. I'm sure there's some sort of warranty on these bilsteins. Any idea? Or is sending them to Quadrant the best solution? Sadly, I don't think I have any "warranty card" from SK.
  25. I have the coilover kit for less than a year, and now there's shaft movement in the shocks. It's making some noise when I drive too. What should I do?
