Not necessarily. If you car does not have enought power to do a big skid then it is probably best that you dont enter. THis type of thing is not for everyone but yes it would be good to see a few Nissans at the track. Not really just a cruise - kind of a cruise/driving event/ car show mix.

Listen to this man - he knows what he is talking about. This would have to be my least favourite thing about the car. Luckily i like driving it enought to justify the fuel bill.

Give the guy a break - Murray is obviously pissed off at the broker and rightly so! There is only one side to the story - broker allowed and assisted in importing a car that is not able to be complied. Some more homework would have been good but you pay the broker to do this shit for you and expect them to get it right. Has their been more than one person caught out by this broker (importing an M35 that cant be complied)? I am not sure i am reading correctly but surely the broker would learn after the first mistake?

Not sold here so no warranty. Take your chances and make sure its good before you buy it. Pics please - i love the look of these. If only my stagea weighed 500kg less!

I have a Just Jap front dump pipe on my S1 that fits great with no mods - not sure who said they dont fit but mine did. THe rest of mine is a Tannabe system from a s2 that needed some adjustment to exit at the correct point at the rear. The S1 has an indent for the muffler exit and the s2 doesnt from memory. Just a slight bend to get it to fit spot on. System is very quiet - only just noticeable at idle and cruising without being too offensive at revs. Revs a lot easier and smoother but not certain of exact power gains.

Has anyone else got the 'NISSAN SECURITY' arial/reciever unit that sits in front of the rear view mirror. I have and i dont know what its purpose it? Not sure if this is related or not (dont want to hijack your thread)

xr6 guys would pay to dollar for these. You could sell them and buy r34 GTR brakes and have enough change for braided lines and a good night out.

Can someone post up some pics of a 'rackless' series 1 Stagea. I have never seen one and am thinking of doing this. Will Selley's No More Gaps work? LOL

I'll be there - sounds like fun. I do have to say that i am yet to go on a stagea cruise that has been anything but a slow cruise. Even driving 10km/hr under the limit i still managed to be at the front on the last one. All good, but i think the last couple of cruises have been anything but a 'race'.

Thanks ssshonkey - i prefer to call the mk1 tough rather than cute. I have surprised a few people at the track who thought the car was cute! (12.83 qtr mile) I will bring the stagea for a look and hope someone in an M35 turns up too. See you there.

Is anyone going with an M35 Stagea? My wife is keen on getting one after i showed her a few pics (beats the shit out of buying a Hyundai Tuscon!!) so i am keen for her to see one in person or even better if one is getting round the track we can watch.

Probably cheaper to buy complete doors rather than fixing existing doors. Call the wreckers and ask your panel beater about the cost to respray the new doors rather than to fix. Good luck

Dale - I was hoping to just pull out half the dash - the pics of the full dash removal are scary! But from the look of it i will give it a go myself in a couple of weeks. I just have bad memorys of pulling part of the dash out of my XR6 falcon and putting it back to find a few dash lights not working so repeating the process three times!! Why cant the heater break in the middle of summer rather than the beginning of the cold.

Thanks Chook. I read about the AC regass option but could not find any more info on it so was hoping someone might be able to give me some detail if they have done this.

I have just discovered i have coolant leaking from under my dash around the heater area. Does this mean my heater core is busted and i need go through the dash removal process that i have read in other threads. Is there an easy fix or an alternative to all of this?

I had the same problem. I took the radiator out and got it professionally cleaned at Natrad for $90. it was about 70% blocked. All good now. I tried a quick flush and new coolant but the blockage will still overheat it.
