Anyone who takes peoples money and rips them off deserves to be in the shit up to his neck - probably deserves all he gets! If you are buying parts from him then you are supporting this loser. Why not turn up and collect the parts that others have paid for - if he is such a good guy he will not mind handing them over.

Definately leather. Looks and feels more luxurious. Easy to clean if you have dogs, kids or dirty mates. Adds a feel of quality so you dont think you are driving a magna!

Good question - i want to know too. I am thinking of getting the apexi SAFC as it not too pricey. The jacar option sounds good but i cannot build that kind of thing myself.

You are right about the breaker bar! i cant move the bottom nuts on any of the struts. I am meant to take the struts in tomorrow so i am desperately trying to loosen them. Any suggestions? How has everyone else done this in the shed at home?

I have just picked up a set of coil overs and need to hand over my standard struts (i think thats what you call them) in exchange. Are these hard to remove? I assume you undo the top 3 bolts in the engine bay and then there is a large bolt at the bottom. I have never looked under the stag before so it will be a first for me tonight. I have changed springs in several other cars so doent think it should be a problem Has anyone else done this and how hard and how long did it take?

I am going to get the exhaust and SAFC as well. I just did a run to Kalgoorlie and back (600km) and sitting around the 110km speed limit i averaged 350km per tank! This makes my old 5.8L Ford Falcon seems like a fuel miser. This is definately the most dissapointing part about my Stagea. If i cannot get more economy i might consider selling!

If the car has been complied then there should be no problem with rego. I had my car complied in Brisbane by the same guys. When you say RAWS I think you are referring to the list of cars eliligible for importation into Australia. Some cars are not eligible such as EVO5 as they were sold in Australia as well as more standard cars like most model Hondas as they were all sold in Aus. I think almost all models of Stagea are elgible so dont stress it will all be fine. IF it is not on the list it cannot be complied.

Your car is hot - definately should not sell it. THe property market is over. If you buy now it is just oging to cost you interest for the next 10 years and you wont make enough money on the sale to cover it. A lot of people think they have to buy an investment property after watching the property market increase for the last 5 years. If you can remember back to the 90's the property market increased by about 15% over 10 years. My parents had a rental property for 8 years and sold if for $5k less than they bought it for! Dont get caught up in the hype as prices cannot rise indefinately. Sell the car if you want to but it will probably cost you less to own than the investment property and will be more enjoyable. THats my $2 worth. (PS. i am selling my investment property now for the above reasons and the fact that i have made a truck load of cash!)

I am 28 with 60% no claim bonus and 3 other cars with Shannons. my Stagea is locked in a garage in a safe area and i pay $1050 for $16k value. I think they could do better given my record and other cars. Will have to start the search i think

I am with Shannons and am getting raped! The Stagea costs about the same as my WRX cost to insure yet it is insured for half the value. Is there a SAu member who can help?

Finally got it open. I must admit i did not try to hard as i havent needed to use the boot too much recently. I got it opened by getting my wife to push the door from the inside while pulling back on the towel. I was on the outside lifting hard on the handle. The self closing mechanism doesnt help because normally you would notice this kind of thing when closing the door. As you dont have to slam the door shut it is not until it is too late you notice something is jammed in there.

On the weekend i was carrying some paint in the back of my car so i put a towl in the cargo area to protect the boot carpet. After unloading the paint i closed the back door and the towel must have been in the lock area because now i cannot open the back door. I am a bit stuck on how to get the door back open. Any suggestions?

I imported my s1 with 73000 on the clock with dual sunroofs and leather for $12,500. From the condition of the car (grade4) and service history the km appear to be genuine. In my opinion there is a lot or money to be saved in importing rather than buying from a yard. I have seen a car identical at Cannington with more km for $21k.

I am considering getting a new after market cat back exhuast but i wont be buying for another two months (late April). I am not sure if you are in a rush but if you can wait you can can have mine fairly cheaply.
