Do you mean the fold-out coin box, r/h side of driver? I've got one off a series 2 but the hinges are a little bit busted (broken short); it works but if u don't open & close it carefully it slips down a bit, kinda annoying. It could be fixed I think by just putting a couple of screws in the sides where the hinges go (you'll see the spot); I just got a new one to replace it (contacted one of the guys who was wrecking a series 2). If you want it anyway, it's yours. Better than me throwing it out.

Thanks for that! How about shocks, didn't they have custom valving and custom machined circlip grooves?

Hi all, I found this list of part numbers and prices somewhere in this thread, before all the images went missing: Does anybody know if (besides the prices, I know they've changed) this is still current in terms of part numbers, and also if this is the same for series 1 and series 2 stageas? Thanks, DaveB

Wow, that's a gloss finish for ya... nice

Lol yeah priorities, you know....

Soo many colours to choose from... I asked for 'precious steel pearl' but got 'precious silver pearl'... I don't mind, pearl powder coats look awesome. 'Precious steel peal' is pretty close to gunmetal though I think. I reckon get a clear-coat too if you can, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the shop could do one for an extra $15 Heres one: Close-up showing the metal flakes:

Wtb Storage Hole Panel
DaveB replied to DaveB's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Holy crap... I was just expecting some singed carpet... a cigarette butt maybe... I'm amazed the panel's not *melted* from being in there. That sucks, another stagea written off Thanks anyway for the help. I'm not in any great hurry for a new panel now, so I'll just wait and see. -
Niiice, what is that colour?

Wrecking Complete Stagea Series 1
DaveB replied to msports180's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
What is the diff? In the photos the midnight blue stagea has an RS-Four badge, I thought they were all open-spinners? Is it RC40 (4.3:1)? You can see on the build plate in the engine bay just after the engine code... -
Ah, the elusive Dayz rear lower-lip spoiler... bolts up to standard rear bar (with the mounting kit). They are not usually sold on their own, but usually with bar, and are usually well over $500 to get one imported second-hand. They are talked about on the forums, along with the dayz front bar, from time to time... You lucky guys with silver, there was a forum member selling a rear bar + lip for I think $550 on here - just search the stagea parts section. I might have this wrong but I think the business was Kansai or something like that?

Sorry I haven't set email alerts on this thread so I have been away a while... thanks for going to all that trouble Peter; unfortunately I might pass sorry- that looks pretty singed, did you have a fire in there? My 'StagPC' project is on hold at the moment anyway, due to lack of motivation caused by the amount of trouble it takes to get into the side of the boot to install anything... -
hi that would be me... I guess you drive the silver S1 that I have seen go past a couple of times?

Hi there, Hopefully this is a simple question for someone out there.... I have an auto series 2 (R34) stagea rs-four (ie. attesa), and the autos all come with single-spinners I'm looking at an LSD at the moment out of the rear of a series 1 RS-four, not sure what it is but it comes with half-shafts and worked in the otherwise stock auto rs-four. Problem is I don't know if the ratio is the same between series 1 and series 2, and even if I get the half-shafts with it, will it fit? If anyone can offer any advice I'd be grateful, thanks DaveB

R34 Gtt - Auto "flaring"
DaveB replied to colossus's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Sorry don't know about Melbourne... thought I might report back on my problems. I took the car to MV autos; they ran some diagnostics and found that shift solenoid A was failing at operating temperature, possibly causing a whole lot of other hiccups in the system (like the slipping in reverse). Also a pressure regulator was suspect. All of this was replaced on the same 'rack'; apparently the solenoid rack replaces most of the internal hydraulic control stuff. Took a day to get the part in and I picked it up the day after; running better than ever now for nearly 5,000K's However it brought the total cost of my 1,000K service to over $2,000.... -
Thanks, yes did spot a banded one: I'll install the IEBC as soon as I can find an electronic boost guage; I guess that I shouldn't play with the boost without one. Any suggestions for a guage to use?
-
Quick question: the solenoid (to right in picture, with the two hoses going to it), if wired for 100% duty cycle, would just be like an open valve wouldn't it? isn't the simplest way to understand this 5-minute vacuum tube re-routing then to think of just removing the tubes from the solenoid and connecting them together?
-
Thanks KiwiRS4T! What sort of needle valve are you using? I also have to install my (built) IEBC sometime, and I haven't tested hole size yet.

That pic' of the S1 looks a little different to S2... anybody got one of the locations on a S2?
-
sorry? rotors for $50 a set? that seems "too cheap to be true"...

Stagea Parts With Photos
DaveB replied to streetslider's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Yes - $350 + ~$80. Just wondered if it had a part number (how do you identify diff's?) and if it would fit a series 2 stagea... an LSD would be nice and this sounded like a cheap way to get one, if it's in good condition... plus I've got the a faulty pressure switch in the attesa accumulator which requires removal of the rear diff' to replace apparently. -

Stagea S2 - Aftermarket Dump Pipes
DaveB replied to ssshonky's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
OOPS, that information I received was from BOS Importing... so sorry JJR Contacted JJR and got (from Darron): "If it's a Stagea it uses the shorter front dump pipe like a R32/R33 Skyline, the R34 uses a longer one but even if the Stagea is a later model with Neo engine it will still use the same dump pipe as an R32/R33 Skyline." So, that sounds right. That is for their split pipes though, which he says need modifications to fit. I have however been assured by BOS that theirs fits with no issues; but I will just need to work out with them R33 or R34 (pipe maker is away until mid November apparrently, so maybe someone with less experience with the Stagea is fielding questions while they're away...) So has anyone got a BOS split pipe installed on a series 2? Issues/no issues? -
Stagea S2 - Aftermarket Dump Pipes
DaveB replied to ssshonky's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Great stuff guys... thanks for sharing your info... here is an excerpt from an e-mail reply I received from JJR re. the split dumps: "... Hi David > > The pipes fit with no issues. Regarding which pipe, it depends on the > stagea you have. if its s1, then its the same pipe as r32/r33 gtst > otherwise if its s2 with the neo engine then it needs the r34 gtt > pipe. ..." So we still have this S1/S2 confusion?!? Didn't the S1 Stagea originally use R33 running gear? Isn't the chassis the same for S2? So, even though it has a NEO engine, it's still the same *chassis*, and thus same length pipes as R33? ...can anyone clear this one up for me/us once and for all...? Please?
