  1. Wow, snap with the bluebird... I had a series 2 wagon before my stagea, although I only had mine for about 8 years. I second the longevity of the bluebird, it takes a hell of a beating and keeps going (I did a twin SU carby + extractors conversion and it was going better when I finished with it then it was when I got it ) but I was in the same boat, I just didn't have time to keep fixing it, and I was getting jack of how much money I was putting into it. Go the stagea, it's one hell of a trade up
  2. X2 - you can be my guinea pig too
  3. Thanks Chuckie. Seeing as bellmouth 'non-splits' are the only thing that I can find for the Stagea, choice is looking a little limited. EDIT: however this one doesn't looks too bad... cheap stainless pipe... for stagea http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=276&page=1
  4. damn, yeah looks like nengun no longer list stagea split dumps. re: the shiny one, I just wondered: the bypass tube (not sure what it's called sorry) doesn't look like it comes very far down the pipe before it rejoins?
  5. Just thought I'd check... thanks so it does have two cats... $650 for mild steel OUCH. If the AM performance fits then I guess $380 isn't all that bad... lol cheers, think I remember reading about that somewhere on here a while ago but didn't know the difference between bellmouth and split then
  6. For us lazy buggers can u give a link to that combo on nengun?
  7. I am interested in your reply... I want to put a SPLIT dump/front pipe on my series 2, but I'm not going to the effort of fitting a new dump unless it's a SPLIT pipe. Yes there are bellmouth pipes on JJR, but not splits for C34. I am with you ssshonky - wtf are they??? there must be something somewhere... and hopefully for not much more than ~$300 max. Just on a side note.... little ot... how many catalytic converters does the standard (compliance) exhaust system have? I have one non-heatshielded cat at the front, welded in just after the std dump pipe (with an arc welder by the looks ) and then right at the rear before the last muffler is a longer section of heatshield which is bulged slightly, which looks like another cat??? If you go the hi-flow cat route can you ditch this one and not have to worry about emissions?

    RB25DET NEO 4WD

So you actually converted an R33 GTS-4 to RB25DET NEO + ATTESA? Awesome!!
  9. Sorry can't edit post above for some reason ( ) but what I meant was 'attesa pump assembly' not 'attesa system'
  10. Metal or plastic I'm easy... but I'd probably end up putting a single-DIN plastic spacer over the front to space it out to a DIN size as it'd probably look better than having 'ears'.
  11. Wow, that's a lot of stuff you're having replaced But this is really invaluable stuff for some of us other stag' owners... do I understand right that you have had the whole attesa system replaced and that hasn't fixed it? that rules out a lot of things.... some of which are cheap and I was betting on to fix my problem thanks for posting your progress, I'm interested to see where this leads... and hoping that you find a solution to make your stag smoooth and quiet like it should be
  12. Lol sorry you must've seen that in during the 4 or 5 mins I spent editing that post... pics are in the second post... I posted that reply, and then realised 'wtf, I can't edit that post!' when I was about to leave the pics in there... so put them in the post above yours... just scroll up till you see them
  13. Sorry for the delay uploading pics; got distracted. Pics of some components: Vent Surrounds Gearstick Surround Front Back Stereo Surround (Xanavi/LCD style) Ashtray (centre console)
  14. Sh!t, missed it!! thanks for the heads up though
  15. That's awesome mike, >160kw at all four wheels, nothing but an safc and boost controller + tune... haven't even upgraded the turbo I'd be running it until I got that ceramic-in-the-cat' problem and use that as an excuse to rebuild the turbo with a gcg hiflow or something... then you're just buying some time to save up the $1900~ish in the meantime
  16. *grabbed* awesome, thanks Tangles! Do you know if this suits series 2/R34 as well as series 1?
  17. I'm guessing that this would be possible, as these things usually come through the clock spring as direct wire connections. You'd have to be really unlucky and find that it has been serially encoded or something... and then, I saw a kit somewhere the other day, which was made specifically for such a purpose, and had settings for adapting Holden/Toyota and some other factory-fitted steering-wheel controls... can't remember where it was but I think it was Jaycar. Failing that, it was DSE's or Altronics.
  18. Interesting. So what is the difference between V, X and Prime? I take it Prime was an option in either V or X series? If so is it possible to get a 25t X FOUR Prime ?
  19. Hey wow, somebody is running a barrel-style air-water intercooler... should be able to get better results that way than a fmic... how well did this work for you?
  20. edit: replying screwed up image attachments - pls see post below
  21. I would love a copy of these while I can! There are no other alternatives to the S-ITC that I can find (like jaycar iebc / apexi safc are alternatives) so I will probably need to get one of these one day. Can you have a go at posting it here first so we can all benefit, or else PM it to me? Cheers
  22. This couldn't be caused by improper bleeding could it? How do you guys bleed the brakes on the stageas ABS system?
  23. Why the X series? I thought V's were the optioned-up ones! Here it is anyway from the manual: Only question is, of course, where to get one???
  24. Cool You actually managed to convince them to do it... that's gotta fix it...
