  1. I will try; the engine builder I consulted says that these are a custom order and that ARIAS do not have any stock. Which is the same story I seem to be getting from the other retailers...
  2. Hi all, I have a one-month window coming up in a few days during which time I plan on getting my engine rebuilt properly. I am desperately seeking a set of ARIAS RB25DET *NEO* forged pistons; these must be a copy of the OEM piston, not an off-the-shelf variety (these are all for '33). I am aware of a set of CP NEO pistons being sold on here however they are 86.5mm (first oversize) which my block already is, so I would need a new block to use those. I have contacted SPOOL imports but the guys is on annual leave. Ordering through an Australian supplier who doesn't have any in stock will incur the 4-6 week wait while they are made in and delivered from ARIAS' facility in the US. Anyone know where I can get a set at short notice? Yes I've tried ebay... cheers DaveB
  3. Sorry for the slightly OT question but somebody asked this earlier in this thread and I couldn't find the answer... is the GTX3076R available in an internall gated option, and could it even possibly be made to fit a stock manifold and 6-bolt nissan dump? I don't know if there's an exhaust housing for that. What about fitting it into an OP6 housing? :S Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times already... I did search a bit!
  4. I have had my rb25 neo rebuilt and have discovered the joy of piston slap with forged pistons when cold. When they're cold there's like an 8 thou clearance from piston to bore to allow for mega expansion; it blows smoke and sounds like a diesel until it's warm (which generally happens by about the end of the street); I suggest there's no way the compression will be as high under these conditions, and perhaps it could even be a 25-50% difference like you're seeing here.
  5. Edit... just saw the pic and noticed these are a way different looking design to the SC7307... these are custom then? (NOT SC7307?)
  6. Hi, I need a set of series 2 stagea RS FOUR front hubs, with upper control arms. Any chance the ones you have are from an RS FOUR (4wd) series 2? And could you possibly send me a pic or post one here? I'm in Adelaide, prepared to pay postage. cheers DaveB
  7. Good suggestions guys; not happy with my new "ebay special" tie rod ends. there is a nasty clunk-clunk when I move the wheels with weight on. Kidafa I think you're right on it there too cause it feels more like the car is "bouncing" than the steering wheel vibrating. I'll have to get under there and remove the front driveshaft.
  8. Hi all, My series 2 auto has about 160,000 k's on the clock, and recently has developed a strange steering vibration where the steering wheel will sometimes shake very noticeably from side-side when cruising at low speed (~40km/h) around a slight left-hand corner. I have read about this on the forums before where the issue turned out to be front driveshaft related, however my issue occurs under circumstances where I wouldn't expect the front wheels to be being driven at all. Anyone have any ideas? I recently fitted some new tierod ends ($50 ebay items), however that was over 3 months ago and I can't feel any play in the steering (although it feels like it wanders a lot on the road sometimes).
  9. Hi Matt,

Could you please check your PMs/phone/topics... the money for the floor mats cleared 2 weeks ago, please see topic here:

  10. I'm currently paying nearly $1100 per year with Shannons and have been for 3 or 4 years now. I have to say, I'm not impressed with the cost of their premiums
  11. Thanks pipster, but def talking about "bigger" only in terms of capacity, not physical size
  12. The Deatschwerks pump is pretty cheap and coming direct from Deatschwerks should definitely be genuine. I might try one next month.
  13. Free bump... can I just say... that looks AWESOME. Grey series 1 with the days kit and nice aftermarket sideskirts and rear bar is my favourite stagea look. I own a pearl white series 2... but I still think this looks better!
  14. One thing about both of these models is that they claim significantly higher flow rates than the walbro (300-340 as to 255) which I believe has poorer flow rate performance unless it's hard-wired anyway (though to be fair probably all pumps do?). Just something to consider...
  15. Hi guys, Couple of interesting alternatives are available atm to the usual Walbro GSS-341/Bosch 040 options: AEROMOTIVE 340LPH 340 LPH 90PSI HIGH FLOW FUEL PUMP These are pretty new I think, looks physically almost identical to the Walbro, claimed 340LPH flow, available on (ebay) here: http://cgi.ebay.com/...n#ht_4609wt_933 some Supra-related info: http://www.supraforu...w-charts-review ...and... Deatschwerks DW300+ These look promising and cheap at $169 US thereabouts (considering the exchange rate)... claimed 300+ LPH. http://www.deatschwe...-tank-fuel-pump Look like the Walbro pump again, no Skyline-specific model fitments listed but here are the physical dimensions: http://www.deatschwe...fuel-pump-tech/ Anyone used either of these? Anybody have any recommendations? I don't know where fuel pumps are really at these days... everybody still use the Walbros, or...? cheers DaveB
  16. Hi all, I'm after the following two items for series two stagea (circa MY 2000): - passenger door, pearl white (prime, or at least with the optional clearcoat) and in good condition with no pin dents, no scratches and no under-mirror rust, (with or without glass/trim/seals/mirror/locks etc. don't mind). Will pay up to $250 for a complete door. I'm in Adelaide - factory xanavi unit from series 2, working (mine's cutting out) preferably with trim surround, in good condition (no marks, worn buttons). I'm guessing this is going to be hard to find, in Adelaide at least, so will wait a couple months and then look at the auction option. As above, I'm in Adelaide, so let me know if postage is a problem. cheers DaveB
  17. Hi Matt, I've been trying to get in touch with you, I haven't had any reply to my PM's. The money cleared from my account over 2 weeks ago, just wondering if you've sent the mats yet? cheers DaveB
  18. Hi Sturb25, I'll take this one if it's still available: cheers DaveB
  19. Do you have a few other details which might help people... What make/model gearbox is it, does it have a transfer case? Gearbox condition? Was this for a series 2 C34? Does it include the clutch pedal support bracket? More details of the clutch (new, used? rough kW rating or part number?) ...just a couple of things I was interested in...
  20. Damn that's cheap. Not sure how big there are but if you need something bigger, 600 cc from Deatschwerks are only 550 US atm, and the exchange rate is pretty good... I am using these: www.deatschwerks.com/skyline/skyline-1998-2002 PS they are a direct fit, and include postage IIRC
  21. Timing is great Ruby, my rust is just starting to show on the passenger side You still have a black stag, yes? I wonder if ATC can repair pear white... I shall call them Monday. Got to get on top of this surface rust before I have big problems, like the old bluebird...
  22. Good to see your on here today Kiwi. When I woke up and saw the quake's on the news thought of you straight away wondering if you were in christchurch or auckland! X2 good to uh "read you" to Robert
  23. I have looked and looked and found nothing. Saw on "Pit" brand (Nissan OEM?) touch-up can for it which I think came from Japan; but none of the Nissan places I have called know of it or are willing to/can get it. I have also had no luck from the few specialist auto paint places I have called about having some touch-up paint made to mach - 'too hard' seems to be the response there. "Oh it's got 3 coats and it needs a pearl and a top coat... I'm not sure that can be put in a can". That sort of thing. I gave up long ago, and am living with the paint chips. Would appreciate any info' if someone else has more luck though
