  9. mate, i rang earlier today to buy the rims but i am letting you and anyone else interested know that i will no longer be purchasing them. i need the money to fix another mechanical problem i am having. sorry for the inconvenience.
  10. you said these kits are a direct plug and play, but do you still have to modify the rear housing cover to fit? i have a r33, and some (maybe most) kits need the rear housing cover to be drilled out bigger to fit the globe in.
  11. hey guys anyone near campbelltown willing to lend me their afm of a series 2 r33 for a few mins of testing? i have a flat spot problem at high revs and just want to eliminate the afm as a problem. please pm me if you could help out.
  12. just an update! i finally had the time to lower my front mount and by the end of it i must admit i am quite happy with the result. this must be the most fiddely component i have ever installed. for all those of you with a keen eye, yes it is off centre but it was not possible to make a hole on the bonnet latch bracket due to width constraints. another note: GOD DAMN highway way driving is really damaging my bumper.
  13. sold please delete!!
  14. bump still for sale!
  15. price drop to $180 ono
  16. i have used both kinds of boost controllers and in my opinion i would never go back to those manual boost controllers. i currently have the profec b spec ii and i have never looked back (this is after trying out the turbotech, turbo smart dual stage manual boost controller, hks evc 5 AND the avcr). although i would always recommend the hks but for the price and the basic functions that i needed i went with the greddy profect b spec ii. manual and electronic have their pros and cons but what i like about electonic is that i can see how the boost responds to my driving and adjust it accordingly. another bonus is that with the electronic boost controllers you can set up 2 or more maps (depending on the boost controller) to suit your everyday driving needs. i just like the complete control i have over my boost levels usings ebc's. i have never had spiking problems with any ebc i have installed but im so used to tuning these now finding the right settings gets easier every time. with the manuals, i could never fine tune it properly and would get spikes here and there or even dips mainly because i can not ask the boost controller to increase my cycles at that particular point to keep the boost steady all the way through your gears. the higher the boost amount, the harder it was for me to keep the boost steady. but im rather biased that the ebc is the only way to go even if you are looking for one extra pound (which i am currently running i.e 11psi). depends on how far you want to modify your car - performance wise. i guess the manuals are ok if you are not looking for major boost increases but if you are then for sure get yourself an ebc. but as i have stated before - i am quite biased that the ebc's are the way to go for any purpose!
  17. just get a hi flow cat, there are plenty of great hi flowing cats now available as technology advances. the fine is just not worth it when you do not pass epa, etc. besides, now you have to tuck away your oxygen sensor since the de-cats, from what i see, do not have provisions for it? someone correct me?
