  1. ....title is a monty python quote... anyway... anyone know if it's possible to remove the dinger from under the dash without effecting anything else? I haven't looked yet, but I'm sick of the chime when i leave the keys in ignition and open the door, and headlights on, etc. etc. so annoying so yeah anyone know if its safe to unplug?
  2. enjoy it, they're a great car. but as someone from here said to me when I first got mine, get your pay direct debit to BP
  3. I can't seem to work out what the little knobby thing on the left is for? It doesn't work in any of the menus or anything. anyone know?
  4. I opted for the JVC headunit without the screen on the face, simply cause I can't see why you'd need it... but yeah JVC is goood
  5. yarrr that be mine at southgates. think i heard you boost past. the rims aren't staying though, and the fuel flap is at the paint shop, trying to get colour matched to get some bodywork done and bodykit
  6. haha yeah that was me. first drive since i killed the clutch at drift prac in september. wheels are Work Meister's. Cost me a fair bit but I haven't seen them on any other R31. madaz made my exhaust, cooler piping, locker, etc. they're a general workshop, not just rotas
  7. today in my travels.. OOO 888 R34 parked in the city somewhere, sau sticker.. NO MRCY black R33 on Anzacs a V35 with rims and lowered, in a carpark on I think Fullarton Rd.. Can't remember. was in my r31
  8. The shocker inserts in mine are R33.. I'm not sure which model though. Mine's an RS.
  9. oh yeah.. on Friday spotted a silver S2 stagea, looked mint. Had gold wheels. Was on Sherriffs road at Reynella, turned onto Hillier Rd. I was driving the red Holden Colorado with stickers all over it
  10. lol. I don't buff a car for less than $200 I'm afraid. Some people are more than happy to pay that because the paint will be as close as I can get it to being the day it left the showroom, but others don't think it's that important. If your paints silver then it shouldn't really show up scratches anyway? And I definatly don't have many skills with the camera yet. That was the first time I used it and all I was changing was the focus, zoom and aperture, the rest was all on auto
  11. Black R34 GTR on the esplanade at Brighton. Just happened to be taking pics of my car at the time, so quickly tried to snap one. Still trying to learn the SLR Awesome car tho note the stretch land cruiser ???? infront. lol.
  12. Buffed my car today. Knew being a detailer would come in handy one day........ Anyways. Then I got a new DSLR camera, so buffed Stagea + awesome camera = pics. More tonight at sunset and a wash. oh and I've never been able to take a pic of this before with my crappy old camera. anyways its my other stagea
  13. RSFOUR on sturt rd... yah t'was me, I think your car is one of the few S1's I really like. my rear spoilers at the paint shop, trying to match the pearl, proving to be really difficult.
  14. still only phone camera quality pics at the moment. changed a bit in the past month, r34 GTR wheels coming in a week though. Also getting front 2 windows tinted at work as soon as my boss goes on holidays oh and my rear hatch spoiler is getting painted on monday Having an issue getting the colour/pearl matched.
  15. Go to an auto store and buy some "overspray clay" by 3M, or a Meguiars Claybar kit. Might cost you around $40-$50 but it's worth it, you'll most likely end up going over the whole car. We had a car at work completely covered in cement specks from being parked next to a building getting built. Took a while but every bit of it we got off. It's likely it will lightly scratch the paint though. If you're not handy with a buff, your favourite spray shop should be able to help you out. Definatly don't go pouring all sorts of chemicals over your paint. They'll eat off every bit of polish and leave your paint raw, which'll lead to it fading.... And for the record I'm a new car detailer, have been for 4 years now..
  16. hehe that was me on my way home. were you in your car ? Didn't see you
  17. Just seen RS FOUR on Brighton road. Beeped but it was yah missus driving
  18. grey S2 Stagea on Brighton road around 5.15-5.30 this evening heading south. had what I can only describe as Pajero ride height. Looked higher than stock.

  20. going the other way in my stagea, you didnt look in my general direction :) saw a silver 32 gtr on seacomb rd roughly 7ish
  21. dirty2 on brighton rd/lonny highway this arvo headin south
  22. yeah mine does the exact same.. i guess it can sense really well when you're under power and hit a bump, the wheel slips ever so slightly
  23. You get what you pay for... I have a full set of ISC coilovers in my R31 Skyline and haven't had any issues other than one of the locking collars constantly coming loose. Of course Jap brands are far superiour in quality but I wouldn't really want to buy non tested 2nd hand stuff. So if you can afford it, definatly go Tein, Bilstein, etc.
  24. woo. my first spot. waas havin my 21st brekky with the olds
