  1. I understand the idle screw isnt causing my problem, however the car does idle erratically every blue moon so i figured id chase two problems at once. It seems as though i do have the right ECU. As for the famous R&R, i will lower my boost settings and see how i go. Cheers for the replies buddy
  2. Somethings up with the skyline and im trying to knuckle it out. I get over 7psi and the thing splatters and feels like im being punched in the back of the head. Runs beautifully otherwise... hmmm
  3. Ok Guys, i have followed the tutorial for the Idle adjustment and they said that there is an idle adjustment screw on the ECU. I have a series 2 R33 and i just checked my ecu and there isnt any adjustment screws? According to this thread i have the correct ECU part number, just wanted to make sure. I have uploaded a pic of the part number and ecu for your reference... Anyone with technical advice i would much appreciate it. Thanks..
  4. Ok sweet as, cheers fellas. Think i might leave it, cbf going through that all again.
  5. Is there a way i can do a sneaky and not have to take everything off again? I mean by bending the cover back and sneaking behind it? Cheers
  6. Hey all, over the weekend i did a major service on my r33 rb25det, changed the water pump and put a Gates high performance timing belt kit (yes i changed the idler and tensioner etc) Now when my car gets hot it makes a slight whirring sound.. i have read many topics which say the belt is too tight, others say that the Gates performance belts make this noise because they are a hard composite material.. What are other peoples suggestions? Does anyone have this timing belt kit (blue belt) and have no noise? If so, can i adjust the idler without taking the bloody balancer off again? Cheers
  7. Ben, money isnt the issue mate, and ive been building cars for 15 years now but thanks for the concern
  8. Lol, you guys are hilarious. Like me, i take it you guys have zero idea about wheel fitment for skylines hence your lack of knowledgeable replies. Love this forum already!!!
  9. Whats the use of a technical section then if all you get is bored flamin mongrel replies? PS Sleptema, i bought the car two days ago. I want to order my wheels asap so i have them on my holidays. Hence the thread.
  10. Heya guys, new to the forum and the skyline series. I understand that there is a skyline offset thread but i have an exam that i need to study for and can't research.. i also cant sleep until i have a selected offset haha I am thinking 18x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears. What offsets would fit my 33? I dont care if i have to run a little camber front and rear, and maybe even flare the rear guards by 15-30mm thats fine. Any advice and pics would be great. Thanks in advance.
