  1. Yeah ive seen flames come out the exhaust before but never out the exhaust and up the back of the car lol there would have been paint damage for sure. Curious to what happened to his car..
  2. It was Gunmetal grey Makes me not want to thrash my car when i see that stuff happen >< lol
  3. I was behind an R32 (had rear GTR badge) on roe hwy and both lanes had traffic in them so me and the 32 couldnt pass, as soon as the car in the right lane moved into the left lane the 32 started to speed up, i noticed black puffs of smoke coming out his exhaust when he sped up. He then slammed his breaks on and swerved off the road i look back and there's like 3 meter high flames coming out of the exhaust and up the back of the car... I kept driving because i had my gf's ball to go to otherwise i would have stopped and helped.. Poor guy
  4. Doing by hand is a must.. I stuck a hose under my bonnet once and water got into the coilpacks and the car was bubbling when i accelerated... Had to take out all the coilpacks and air dry one by one..
  5. I was going to try this but i think i will let someone who has done it before do it lol... My 33 is reaching its 95k mark and i was wanting to service it this weekend, i can do the oil / plugs / brakes.. Anyone know what i would be looking at to get someone just to fit the timing belt.. Ill provide belt and everything.
  6. Okay cheers guys, i thought there might have been something more to it.. like since 100 cars ive jumped start first time i thought cause its an import and the battery is in the boot there might have been a different way of starting it.. so yeah i got a battery charger ill take the battery out tonight and charge it over night and hopefully that should fix it
  7. Hahaha. I am connecting to the battery in the boot? is that where i should be connecting? I was using my neighbours 83 ford laser to jump start ha-ha Car was completely dead when i came out.. put jump leads on and i got dash lights back but when i tryed to turn it over it was clicking like a machine gun
  8. hey guys, I left my lights on last night and this morning my battery was completly flat.. When trying to jump start it the car just clicks like crazy? any ideas how i can get it purring again? Is there some special way to charging a skylines battery? ><
  9. Haha bush mechanix at its finest I think LED's are hawt so i was gonna give them a shot.. ill post some pics once its done.
  10. Hey guys, Someone reversed into me at the shops and destroyed my trust front bar while i was shopping! so ive bought a 400R and im just curious on what indicators i should use? Its got the round holes the same as my old trust one did, i had it filled in tho and just mounted them seperate. this time i think im gonna use the holes. anyone know what lights to go for (bulb/LED) ? also ive got it in the shop getting painted and i need to order the lights so if anyone knows the measurments for the 400r indicator slots that would be awesome (looked about 70mm? can anyone confirm?)
  11. Okay today i took the cover off, took all the coils out and no water or residue was inside.. i dried all the sockets anyway but i don't think water is the problem anymore.. it may have started it but i don't believe its there anymore. It may be possible a coil is broken? Because when i took the coils out, i mixed them up and put them back in differently, and even tho the car still misfires at idle, the sound when i accelerate is different.. before it use to just do it when i acclerated heavy.. now it does it even while cruising. Its really starting to annoy me. my car feels so sluggish and it sounds like crap! how much do coils go for roughly and anyone else got feedback? Ps. thanks for your feedback guys. Pps. after cleaning all my plugs my hicas light is constantly on now? not sure if thats broken or if its fixed.. my hicas light has never came on before lol..
  12. I got a Trust front bar and i'm wanting to attach some mesh to make it look a little bit meaner, cause atm the slots are empty. Though i'm having trouble finding a way of attaching the mesh. Bit scared to screw into aswell incase it cracks.. any ideas?
  13. I am actually a 1st year apprentice auto electrician, and my boss actually suggested the coil pack. I removed the plugs and cleaned them with some cleaner, then air dried them with a air hose. I haven't managed to check the coils yet. Ive noticed after driving for say 20-30 minutes it actually goes away, but say if i drive the car the next day.. its back again. Any more suggestions?
  14. While car was being cleaned, some water got into the engine bay. When accelerating the car shudders like hell, and when idling it miss fires every so often. Anyone know what the problem could be? I already went thru the sensors and dryed them out with a airhose, might be the injectors? anyone?
  15. Thats the original Jap VIN and model number.. can that help anyone get the color code for me? ECR33-020806 Model: GGKRTFR33VDAA--D-A
  16. Ive put my car into get repaired and the sprayer cant find the color code or one that matches it. Its a 1994 Gts-t. It's not a respray, anyone know what color it could be? I looked in the sticky paint codes but i couldnt really see one that sounded like it.. and theres no pics so yeh, any help would be great, thanks guys
  17. I think ur's will pass before mine, because yours meets the 400mm from the side and over 300mm from the bottom 'rule'. Im taking my bumper off tomorrow and taking it to Altec panel and paint in maddington to have them fix the cracks in it, and mount it with some new 'visable' indicators. Then i will be up for round 3.
  18. Haha, umm a grey 33... i didnt study it to close. It may have been a gtst with gtr badging ><
  19. Aye i went to Welshpool. A 32 was in front of me.. got a little asian guy inspector, passed him after like a 5 min expection. I was like pleeeeeeaseeee give me him, he probaly owned the GTR i saw in the parking lot Then i saw the inspector from kelmscott come out and im like ohhhh shit! I had my friends mum take my car thru, and lucky he went to some other guy instead of to me... then the asian inspector waved my friends mum to come forward so i watched from the seats at the side. Went around all the outside of the car and checked all the lights horn etc. He stopped at the front of the car and looked at my indicators and is like to the guy that failed me the first time (the old kelmscott guy).. they look okay to you? and of course he said no. i was like GRRR so i ran over and asked what the problem was. He explained my lights were to far down and to far away from the outside of the car. He also said that if my headlight indicators were working it wouldnt matter. I then told him that R33 indicators are not apart of the headlights and they are below the lights on the body kit. He just said it dont meet standards, and failed my car So ive done a bit of looking around on SAU and ive found a number for a panel beater so im gonna go in tomorrow and get a quote. here's pic sorry about quality.
  20. Pit day 2 = ARGH! Failed. again. Nothng mentiond about the previous problems. Now my front indicators are 2 far in, and not high enough. So looks like im in shopping for a new front body kit
  21. Yeah it was an old guy... He was horrible. Thanks for the offer of lending me your springs, but I’m going to buy some stock springs tomorrow from the wreckers incase I need to put the car over the pits again in the future. Once on ill try Welshpool, thanks for the heads up!
  22. Wipers, and water squirters were painted black this evening.. The height i dont know how im going about.. i mean i like the height it is now.. i dont wanna have to make it a Nissan Highline just to get it past the pits tho. Riduculous it went in for a BOV and he never even looked twice at the thing. With the suspension, should i buy some stock front springs or something? A mate suggested using someone else to take the car? I have a mate's sister in mind Thanks for feedback guys, i think i might try welshpool next time Ta.
  23. Hi all, Last week I was given a nice canary yellow sticker on my windscreen for my blow off valve... This apparently was too loud. The police officers could only find the BOV to be out of place, and not being adjustable, gave me a sticker. Now I always thought they have to find 2 or more things to give your car a sticker? Anyway I accepted the sticker thinking, ill put the factory BOV on and take it thru the pits. PIT DAY: Arriving at Kelmscott pits (might be my mistake) I waited in queue. Behind me was a P plater in an older commodore. The inspector came out and looked at me and failed me before I had even got out the car, making sly comments at my car making sure the P plater could hear... Which I found unnecessary. The car is lowered to 100mm, and has a pretty large body kit on it. A turbo timer and a boost controller and (had) a BOV. The car is in great nick. Things he found wrong with my car: Suspension to hard, Window wipers were silver and so was water nozzle. Overall I found this to be bullshit and unfair. Anyone know a way I can get thru the pits with out trev inspectors giving me grief? 
