it will be $350 and 5 points if it is 30-39 over and if it's 40 over you lose your license so as lach 32 said...your rooted and gonna get they keep changing the laws and your lucky the increased fines haven't come in yet. I'm guessing that by saying plate being on the right hand front by benefit you mean they wont be able to see your plate and you get away with which i doubt. You deserve to be caught if you were dragging an MR2 of all things anyway.

the tyres need to be off but most places will remove and refit the tyres for you.
-
you will definitely need fenders as well as they are different for S2

Cutting R33 Bumper To Fit Over Intercooler
Onthehunt replied to joe blo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
trial and error is the best way of doing it. it will take a while but the effort at the end of it will be worth it. -
I was told it isn't flames or missfire its just excess fuel being dumped in the exhaust and hence the pops. correct me if i'm wrong though. i used to get heaps of pops on decel with the bov open about 30% but as soon as i got a pfc in it and tuned it stopped straight away or if i turned it to fully plumback.

i'm thinking along the lines of the wheel bearing. when jacked up does the wheel spin around smoothly or is it rough every rotation with resistance as it would be wheel bearing then.

when i had to change mine it wouldn't budge so and when trying hand slipped and as Duncan said it hit something hard and i still have a bruise 3 months on so gloves are the way to go although you can't really grip it right with them on. try the warm water option, if that doesn't work you can just cut of the hoses at the ends of the filter if you have enough slack on them and just put them onto the new filter but make sure you still have heaps of slack left or you could just replace the line. get hose pliers as they help alot and save you hacking at the lines and will come in handy in the future and i also have rags lined around the area as there will be spillage of fuel no matter how careful you are. don't forgot to remove fuel cap as well to get pressure out of the system or be ready with all those rags and check for any leaks or kinks in the line as well when your done.

well it's good to hear someone else is in same position as me...well it isn't really good but hay. yeh the excesses are ridiculous. haha yeh must be all those other damn 33 drivers out there lol. famous will cover pretty much any mod as well which is good.
-
yeh do not use wd 40. electrical contact cleaner...cant remember brand but i use the stuff in a white can with the red top it's crc brand electrical contact cleaner, about $10
-
that's sucks lol. how do you know that? mate is same age and getting s15 insured through them and has no vehicle excess of $1500 so yeh being black listed sounds about right. why would a 96 33 be black listed over other 33's including a 97?
-
well when i change it from 0 to 16 it certainly feels alot softer and less harsh so it obviously is doing something and has adjustment unlike the bilsteins in the group buy which don't have any adjustment. I dont have the pillowball tops either.

Spoke to famous insurance then and they will only insure turbo cars for people 20 and over, this is rough breakdown of what they can do compared to just car for anyone in same position as me. 96 33 gtst Famous Excess - Basic $750 - Age $500 - Under 21 - Age $250 - 21 to 25 Amount covered: $21000 Mods: Susp, wheels, exhaust, intercooler they also give choice of repairer and windscreen repair and there is no theft excess - premium came to $2222 tho Just Car Excess - Basic $450 - Age $650 - Vehicle $1500 - Theft $1000 Amount covered - $17600 Mods - Exhaust - there is no choice of repairer, obviously no point with windscreen with the huge excess as well as theft excess on top and generally getting screwed over by just car - premium came to $1877 I'm going to renew this policy with just car for 6 months, cancel after 3, get my money back and give them the finger and go to Famous when i turn 20 in April. I recommend anyone else to try Famous as it seems a much better option than just car. Just remembered that hbf will cover you if 21 and consider covering if your 20.

found this thread so am going to ring a few companies to see if they will as they are insuring others for turbo cars under 25 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Po...ts-t154173.html

i got sideskrits and pods fitted and painted by fibrevision about 6 months ago now and they seemed to have done a good job of it as the paint matches well and blends in with the rest of the car and the kit hasn't lifted or anything like that either and they were the most reasonably priced as well. Also had the bumper and couple of things resprayed by them a few months after that and they said they would take 3 weeks but ended up taking 6-7 weeks and did a good job with the paint but didn't trim the bumper around the fmic neatly after i told them to and paid them to and just could have done a better job with the fitting side of things so wasn't overly happy with what they did. Just dropped of a gtr wing to cowley smash yesterday to get painted and Brett was by far the nicest person and also very reasonably priced so will see how that turns out but from reading peoples experiences don't think there will be any problems and just speaking to him leaves you very confident with their operation.

i got the tein super streets for my 33 for this exact reason. don't take the car on the track but want it to be able to deal with any thing on the road and it does with ease. i got the edfc to adjust the stiffness depending on my mood and who is in the car so i get the best of both worlds but that's just me
-
+1 couldn't be happier with my tein setup

thing with just car is the excess....if i want to make a claim its $2700 pffft. it just means you won't make a claim unless it's a write off. my policy is ending in 2 wks so been calling around and hbf would consider covering me if i was 20 but because im only 19 and will be 20 in april they won't, what is 3 months going to do. tried alot of other companies and all said no even though i have only had 1 speeding fine and nothing else which means might have to go back to just car because i won't go without insurance just in case the worst happens "touch wood" but won't make a claim if i have an accident so really it's lose lose as usual

I was thinking of trying what you did with the two pins but wanted to see how it is now and if it had come back for you? also what grease do you think would be best to use? any help would be great as you know my pain lol just attached a pic so you can point out what you greased and exactly which parts if that's cool. cheers -

Mazda: Your Rx8 Needs New Motor, $15,000 Please!
Onthehunt replied to diamondjo's topic in Western Australia
the old man had an rx8 for about 2 years before selling it a year back now and it did flood once on him. had started the car to move it into the garage from driveway and had it running for about 2 mins then off and next time went to start it it was flooded and needed to be towed back to dealership and sorted out. as Brad said they told us take it for a drive if you start it up or it will flood and to never ever depress the throttle at all when cranking as that floods it straight away. dealership sorted out his problem as it was under warranty but rotormotion would be the place to go. -
I feel your pain. Don't get me started. When you need anything but a banana cos the guy infront is all lined up....guess what...you get about 5 bananas in a row. Bullsh*t
