  1. no idea mate...is it worth trying locking and unlocking it a few times - it may make it worse, or it may make it better, i do not know... Don't kill me if it breaks anything though... Otherwise all i an suggest is undoing the inside panels from inside the boot to get at the locking mechanism.. all the panels should come off... Or just call a LOCKSMITH???
  2. power loss???...bwahahaha...it's fantastic! sure, the power curve probably looks like shieet but she has plenty more go after 2500 rpm than before! Before when you stalled her up you got this huge amount of lag untill you hit 'high boost mode' from the factory solenoid...it was craptacular exhaust and computer will come after tax-back too...i just need moolah.
  3. am i going to get detonation or a higher amount of pinging or is this going to be OK. Ocassionally spiking to 12-14psi (it's just a boost tap and $ 50 gauge It's in a Stagea and from what i have heard stock stagea ecu's run rich and like a dog anyway so i think she should be ok...
  4. and yer...pretty sure the foggies are illegal in QLD unless there is actually fog (which is never) - and don't try replacing the bulbs for them cause it is the reflector which is coloured, not the bulb - meaning a replacement reflector would have to be sourced (not going to happen stan) to replace it in order to get a white (and legal) beam my 5c
  5. because he can i spose... solve your problems all at once...remove the shocks all together You'll have about as much manouvreability and it's half the cost Why not just get larger side skirts if you want it to look lower...the lowering you are doing now can't be helping the handling much at all past a point
  6. if ur going to push it hard...just make sure you look after your oil (restrictors, increased sump capacity and baffles) and you should be right to go... that's all i am aware of being a consistent issue if you are going to push it really hard (by the sounds of it you plan on thrashing it...excuse me if i am wrong) ...meh

JLAUDIO - AWESOME QUALITY AND MID RANGE PRICES ECLIPSE - WHAT I AM USING ATM - I AM QUITE IMPRESSED W/ THEM ECLIPSE i have a set of 6.5" 3way components...apparently getting 33HZ at 88Db (and usually the good brands have conservative test readings)!!!!!!!!!!! pretty awesome for 6" splits I reckon! Picked 'em up cheap for $500... KENWOOD, CLARION, PIONEER..LEAVE 'EM BE I RECKON...NO PERSONAL EXPERIENCE..JUST RPEFERENCE FOR ME... personal prefference will be all it comes down to. (*I found the capslock button )
  8. Lumpy feel... not just like when you are running it in constant AWD? (that little S button left of the steering column...), though that has nothing to do with why your 4wd light has come on??? - ... I just know that my power button keeps staying on sometimes when i start up the car - completely random...
  9. ...if you can get ur hands on a series 2 manual.. the only one i know of is Andy's... one just came up for sale on prestigemotorsport or something for 24 Grand... - just buy Andy's car and sell ur's I know nothing about the conversion but i do know that finding an s2 manual (or simply manual box) will be a pricey and difficult experience Good luck...

Buy a 260RS Autech Stagea...30 grand... you can live in the back of it quite comfortably... it rocks the socks off your GTST for performance and what-not there's like 15 in AUstralia (as oposed to 200 VW Golf whatevers) you will never need to buy a new car again cause it will do whatever the fark you want it too, if you get married etc, you won't need to get something mroe family friendly...and the price is comparable to your VW anyway if i am not mistaken Problem solved!
  11. It's true If i remember corectly it was a 5 point manouvre to get it up the driveway + whatever else for 'launch errors' getting into the garage though it doesn't help only having 17mm of ground clearance...LOL
  12. thanks for the replies..will keep searching... looks like AUTRONIC is off the books..WOLF 3D V500 is less than that... It's really tempting to just get a SAFC and AVCR (but then again, APEXI JAPAN just went bankrupt), but by the time you muck around with all that, you may as well ahve saved up for a few extra months and gottens something awesome...also, finding someone up here to tune ur car will be fun.. Mate has had some recent trouble with the bloke he reckons was the only reputable tuner for PFC's in town...so i ams freakin' if i let anyone near it ey. Screw trying to find someone who will do WOLF etc... and do it well. and i know...other priorities first...but just researching and getting refferences...cheers.
  13. Autronic has piqued my interest...but i can't seem to find prices anywheres... has anyone had experience with these?... But at a guess these are going to cost a sweet penny..and they don't look very plug and play...at least not for my Stagea... Any one used these before? or got any good stories at least?
  14. OK...Moving this from the spam thread... Ummm... Autronic ECU's...BRAD, I know you have one... what are the dollaz on them... I am thinking ECU's this week..and gleaning informatino for them... I couldn;t find any for sale on the NET...and there is a guy in CAIRNS who does tuning and installs i believe... I emailed the local guy but am yet to recieve a reply from him... here's what i sent him

I am a Stagea owner in Townsville but I am not up to the stage of performance tuning and so am not really able to assist you (The Stag is almost completely stock at the moment).   18. bugger 'ey... I'll take your word for it dude... was only for maybe 60kms of driving so shouldn't be too bad (though a fair bit of that was around roundabouts in the wet at 2am) ... Serves me right for listening to mates with GTR's instead of the collective knowledge of SAU!!!! (*Bows*)
  19. well...i tok the fuse out a few nights ago...had a run around in the wet and then put it back in... I'm servicesing the Stagea tomorrow so i'll see if anything happened... was definately running in 2wd mode from what i can tell though...

  21. I still want it to sleep... LOL. Everyone up here wants me to get an R34 front conversion but i am not sold on it.. unless i hit a roo and need a replacement bar... Amp for Stezza = first priority Swaybars and castor adjustments are second priority after i took it up to port douglas on some beautiful roads up there... then exhaust/ then management and i'll work it out from there... it soon becomes apparent that one does not need to masterplan all of their intended modifications and stick to it. ...but hey...keep the opinions flowing...

  23. sorry...R33 GSTST M spec or something like that ...I'm not thinking again.. I havn't seen it yet but the bloke is reputable... done a lot of work with RB's, and has done about 4 silvalines so i trust his word for the most part
  24. a few of the Townsvillians have got PFC's running in auto GTR's etc... as for the swaybars... I have already earmarked them for my attention pronto...possibly even before the subs go in.. the body roll and understeer is getting to be quite pain in the arse! espescailly with townsville being really wet at the moment, and there being a roundabout every 150m to negotiate! got some tuff splits the other day which are making lovely sound... no ear splitting bass but i can get that later... 30Hz @ 88db from a 6" woofer [i'm sure it can go harder too:)]is fine for me for now
  25. i can piggy back a PFC and just leave the old ECU to change shifts can't I?
