i'm doing the oil drain and where it bolts into the block the fitting is on a downward angle probably 30 degrees or so will this be ok? also will i need a fire insulation around the braids oil drain line if the line passes through the warped 6boos manifold? the following is the angle it sits on the block the box is the engine angle

check.. rust under the boot & around strut towers (under the hood) do a leak down test compression test 145psi or mor is ok drive behind it and see if it blows smoke on WOT spend the extra and get it inspected by a mechanic (no one young)

i would be using allot larger grommets than that get them as close to the factory size as possible my mate just went thro two big $ custom radiators because of electrolysis SCA have on that revolving nut and bolt rack rubber grommets about the size of a 50c piece, i would be using them at least only a few dollars from memory
