  1. hey man, i understand what u mean by budget. I think they are just misunderstanding what you are saying and assuming you're on a 'tight' budget. Which is totally different to shopping around for the best price (I see alot of people on SAU, getting pinged for being cheap, when simply doing thier h/w on prices.) Also i couldnt see anywhere in your post about you mentioning you were chasing 300-350rwkw? unless you mentioned that in another topic, i must just be blind. Anyway, I don't know where your located but if your in Adelaide i have a rb25det AWD sump from a stagea you can have for $150, Then you can do as NIZMOID said an get it custom fab'd. Throw me a PM if your keen. If not, then all the best with finding a suitable product. Cheers
  2. yea i had a bloody horrible one arrive in the mail! was lucky enough to be able to refund it in the mail and receive another one (all postage paid). This one is a bit better. This post will come in handy when the time comes to install it on my car (currently undergoing engine conversion). Keep the updates coming!
  3. when you say checked, did u actually use the soapy water trick? you may be suprised and find some leaks u didnt know u had. I certainly did. Get the waste gate inspected at a workshop as its something i recommend not f**king around with unless your experienced.
  4. put some detergent and water in a spray bottle, spray all your air flow pipe joins then boost it, best done on a dyno as u can get it to spool with out the car moving.... That should determine your leaking problem if thats what it actually is (You'll see it bubbling up at the leak), if its the wastegate, best option is having it inspected in a workshop in my opinion.
  5. yea i definately noticed this... if it was wet, the AWD was great cause not much wheel spin, but in the dry i hate it... reeeeally slowes me down off the line. Even in RWD with lots of wheel spin id accelerate faster than if AWD was activated. every car is different so it would be interesting to know a formula to calculate how much power is lost in AWD. I could imagine it being a tough formula though as the AWD torque varies.
  6. well if i was to use the wolf, it is map sensored so that should rule out any AFM wiring, not sure about the coil wiring though... I cant exactly take my car to a tuner an have them take a look at it all, that would be too hard with all the peices the car is in at the moment.
  7. Ok so now my understanding is that the computer on the right kick panel is the controller of the ATTESSA. Id be happy to keep using the WOLF 3D ECU but im pretty sure that an rb25det engine loom wouldnt connect up in place of the old rb20det engine loom? Also have an understanding from BLIND ELK (very helpful champ) that i need to get some sort of a new auxilary relay for the wolf to run the VVT? This is confusing. im contemplating just selling the wolf and buying something that i know i can just plug straight in and run my 25.
  8. mmm. The way mine is set up is to have the hose run to the start of my pod filter, where there is a hole drilled in the rubber (where the pod connects to your intake pipe) and a nipple sealed in. Its alot easier than to modify your intake pipe. although mine is running a oil catch set up, same deal applies as to where you can tap that breather too
  9. wow, just had a look at this. very impressed! i have to sell my V4 wolf 3D, so i had a look at the V5, it seems like an insane ECU... but i cant afford 1900... this LINK ecu though really seems like value for buck!
  10. man... now im completely lost.... wiring is something im not fantastic at.
  11. hey guys, like alot of people, im in the middle of a conversion (R32 GTS4; RB20det to RB25det) and finding out its alot more costly than first expected So im begining to sell some of the mods and returning to stock, so i can afford to get it running! anyway, my question; I will be selling my wolf v400 ecu, and thinking of replacing it with an rb20det ecu (remapped) and running an rb25det loom. So im wondering if there is a difference between the rb20det ECU from a GTSt and an rb20det ECU from a GTS4??? cheers
  12. looking for offers over $950 Cheers
  13. oh dear... just found some for sale on sliding performance........ $529.00!
  14. Hey guys, my harmonic balancer on my rb25det has 3 cracks in different places and i know its going to shred any belts i put on it. Ive been in search of a replacement second hand OEM balancer but cannot find one anywhere. So now im considering aftermarket. Anyone here running an aftermaket balancer wheel? And anywhere recommended to buy? Cheers
  15. come on!!! i know someone has one sitting around somewhere that they dont need.
  16. I had one of these jun copies installed on my rb20det. It looked to me like the standard runners had been welded on... it was a very good plenum and even used velocity stacks. but for a couple of hundred or so extra, would be good to go a genuine greddy...
  17. my gosh that is very sad... i wouldnt call myself a 'street racer' but every noun an then i can get carried away (alot of you would be lying if you said you've never given it a squirt on the street)... just being honest. Anyway i see this as a big wake up call. R.I.P to the elderly couple
  18. hmmm... if your desperate luke, i know a place where you can get them for $185 each! lol :laughing-smiley-014:
  19. As title states, After a rb25det harmonic balancer wheel, as mine is chipped and id prefer to replace it before i drop my engine in. CHEERS
