hey guys, my car wont start (RB25det S1). Cranks, but doesnt fire up. Pulled out the spark plugs and they were all wet. Im getting no spark and i found that coil number 6 (closest to firewall) has slightly warped a bit from getting really hot. There is also charcoal around the spark plug and a bit in the valley cover (all at cylinder 6). NOW. My understanding is that if 1 coil pack dies, the car should still light on 5 cylinders? Or because of the wiring, does it mean if the first one dies, the rest also fail? My thoughts at the moment are that the ignitor has malfunctioned and over volted my coils? And im assuming in doing that its taken its own life at the same time. thoughts please cheers, mike

CURRENTLY HAS A BUSTED COIL PACK AND POSSIBLY NEEDS A NEW IGNITOR. THATS A CHEAP FIX AND IM SICK OF THIS THING JUST SITTIN IN MY DRIVEWAY SO WHO EVER COMES TO ME WITH 9k OR BEST OFFER FIRST, GETS IT!!!

Hey guys, My R32 drift car decided it didnt want to start the other day (The motor is an RB25det) so i had a look today and found a problem. first thing i noticed is my spark plugs were wet with fuel, so this tells me im not getting any spark. As i got to the last coilpack and spark plug i noticed alot of charcoal around that area of the valley. The spark plug was all sooty on the section where the coil pack connects, i then looked at the coilpack itself, the rubber boot was a bit warped and the previously blue silicon it was covered in is now brown. (I've coated all the coil packs in silicon to prevent waste spark.) so there is a problem with this coil pack. But i still cant workout why the others are not firing? I checked the ground wire that connects to the rear coilpack bracket (the one that has been cooked). and the wire seems to be fine. If the back coil pack is screwed, the other coilpacks should still work thus allowing the car to start and run on 5 cylinders? or am i wrong? VIDeO vv cheers guys, any help welcome

Hey guys, For sale is my '93 R32 track drift car. It started life as a GTS (non turbo), i then stripped it back to a shell and built it from ground up to a great drift package. It maintained its Rego up until last week when i was defected. It can be taken through regency and passed with some part jumbling. It was only ever driven on the street to workshop trips etc. but the police caught up with me this time. In its current state it has only seen about 1,500k's and 90% of the parts were brand new. yea. ill take more pics of it once its done. ive got a few days free now so i can get back to workin on it an i dont see why it wont be finished before the weekend. best of for the buyer to buy it freshly built and never driven. if it doesnt sell before that ill just end up takin it to the track myself cant waste a perfectly good track weapon!

obviously the car needs a clean an tidy up but that will be done after car is on road later in the week. then ill take some pics of it all clean and lowered a bit more

for thoes genuinely interested i have whipped up a quick photo history of the project. enjoy When i first drove the non turbo peice of crap into my drive way. With full intention to be gutted, i knew i was in for an interesting project Then i decided to push each and every of its 90kw's at a drift practice day before i took it all apart. So did a couple of little things like wheel alignment, rebuilt gear box, welded the stock open wheeler diff etc. (came off track at one point and it got covered in dust, hence the matt paint appearance) then the build began, RB25det etc was all added, most suspension work, Paint, hubs, brakes and all other conversions etc were done at my mates place.(big shout outs to luke!!!) Then the car was towed to my place to have the last few things finished before it gets tuned etc.

with the extra HP mods it comes with, it will make around the 300rwkw mark if you want it to.

Car will be tuned on standard turbo for reliability and response. Buyer can do what ever they like with all the big HP upgrades. Many spares will come with the car also, alternators, A/C's, Mani's, inakes etc. Car will be ready for grabs hopefully by about june 14th (1 week) so im just gathering interest. Hey fellaz, I have a R32 GTS (non turbo) skyline that ive dropped an RB25det engine and gear box into. I'm using the RB20de engine mounts and all is sweet except the gear box mounting bracket is an inch and a bit to far back.... I was under the impression it was all supposed to line up? Engine appears to be sitting perfect position in the bay. I then held up the Rb20de gear box mounting bracket next to the RB25det mounting bracket, and they are completely identicle. Also the shifter is sitting nicely in the whole. If worst comes to worst ill just go and get a new bracket made up, but wondering why i have to when everyone elses seems to just fit straight in. Anyone else came across this problem??? cheers, mike
