Unfortunate about the break in. It's sad people feel the need to take what isnt theirs. On the flipside I witnessed this car get pieced together while planning my build. A thorough undertaking you can feel confident was done correctly. Congrats!

It's still a work in progress, but should have it ready for some anger driving in the coming month or so. -

Upon further inspection, Big O from Melthams decided the original application wasnt any good and decided to reapply the colour as intended. The results are outstanding! -
'93 GTR Freshen up Hey guys, Long time lurker. I'll try condensing the last 18 months into a relatively short post :-) A friend of mine purchased this car from the east several years ago, I remember seeing it in the flesh and the colour just popped. When it came up for sale, I jumped on it. The lads at Galvsport were commissioned to the freshen which ended up being a ground up resto of sorts. Premise was for a 1000hp street car with manners. Engineered and insurable. Carry out the school drop off and have a crack at some motorsport. Stripped the shell and off for a freshen up of the BMW Boston Green. .

R32 Gtr 18x11 Question
DOGBOX replied to DOGBOX's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the replies and insight guys, appreciate it. -
Hi guys, I'm currently in the build with a R32 GTR. I'm looking to maximize tyre width within the factory guards. I'm aware 18x10.5+22 is near on optimum. Has anyone had any success with an 18x11 square setup? +30 offset is available and should fit reasonably flush, however I'm unsure how much inner guard/suspension clearance is available. Anyone able to provide some feedback on this? thanks in advance. Jme

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
DOGBOX replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi guys, I've just bought a 32 GTR and looking to get as much rubber as I can under the guards. I'm aware 18x10 +20 is near on optimum. Toying with the idea of going 18x10.5 +25. Anyone had any experience with that size? Not adverse to rolling the guards, more concerned about strut clearance and front turning clearance. Any feedback appreciated. -
Porsche developed the DSG system for their race program in the 70's. Its old technology which was hounded by weight and size. VW/Audi honed that technology in the late 90's and made it production viable not long after the turn of the century. Nissan seem to be the first off the block to have a full running production version in a vehicle running decent torque through it. Interesting to see what transpires with its reliability once more power gets pushed through. Porsche have a dsg option on the 997 replacement. LOL @ manual gearbox being boring to drive. Thats as naive as it gets, id suggest more time learning to drive on the limit before comments are made on a true driving experience. Electronic talent is the way of the future, but pure driver involvement is much more satisfying.

Handy Andy!!!! Theoretically i've been here longer than you.....by 3 months in fact LOL!!!! Yeah mate, im waiting to finalise a few things, aiming to get a 35 here towards the end of the year, sooner if possible. Doing dutton again, but i'll be co-driving with Jones in his 9mr, should be quite the animal once complete.

MATTRESS!!!!! Howz the big block going Yes mate i'll be out and about, but spectating alot till the 35 arrives, which im thinking will be later in the year....good things come to those that wait....as you well know -
Couldn't make the launch unfortunately, but I did go shotgun for an hour earlier in the day Still being run in, but quite an animal.......

Whether they look good or not is purely a personal thing, but the FACT is they're an american wheel, which near on guarantees they'll weigh at least 2 - 3 times what the factory wheels will. This in essence DESTROYS the handling dynamics and fundamentals this car is based upon. magnesium light weight 20's with some R comps......NOW IM LISTENING!!!!!

"Lads, i've opened this thread to put our collective heads together regarding the future of Motorvation for the import and late model fraternity. PLEASE DON'T FILL THIS THREAD WITH GARBAGE. KEEP IT LEGIT ON TOPIC AND FACTUAL. I DON'T WANT A BITCH SESSION I WANT HONEST OPINIONS ON WHAT WE CAN DO TO IMPROVE IT FOR OUR SCENE!! ***mods can you make this a sticky if at all possible*** I've made contact with MV organisers and will be meeting with them to discuss matters further. We can make this bigger and better for all involved but requires genuine enthusiasm and organisation. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP IT ON TOPIC AND FACTUAL. I intend on joining up relevent forum groups and obtaining similar feedback from all. So my first question is, which groups should i approach????" regards Jme

I know skylines australia didn't have an active display at motorvation this year, but im looking to organise a select area for the import/late model fraternity for Motorvation 2009. If members for SAU WA are interested please put some genuine feedback in the thread I'll throw up in the events section. cheers Jme

Yeah i might be down there, but i've opted to refrain from any further mods on the libbo, waiting for the dump pipe and then a tune and thats it, prefer to invest in getting the future GTR to specs and leave the libbo a reliable daily.

Highly recommended event. Long track while the sun goes down and short track under lights. Awesome array of cars on display and some lightening times progress as the temp drops! Great event for beginners and pro's alilke.
