Hi there, the way i opened mine was just to rotate it counterclockwise.. maybe you have to use a little bit more force? I'll be putting in xenon bulbs tonight/tomorrow afternoon so i'll double check.. while I'm at this. the way to get the bulb out is just squeezing the bottom bit (where it connects to the wire) together yeah? cheers

I just got a stainless steel 2.5inch catback installed today at hi tech for 850.. i tried bringing it down.. but the guy will only go as low as 850..damn i'm bad at haggling.. driving my car around feels about the same as my previous exhaust.. none of the extra lowend torque that pple talk about (but hoping the fuel economy thing is true tho).. maybe it's just cuz the FREAKING exhaust is so loud during acceleration about up to about 2500 rpm and it's distracting me "slightly".. man i swear i'll go deaf with this sound.. the guy told me to give it a month for the glass(or whatever stuff that's inside) in the muffler to settle, then if it's still killing my ear drums, he'll stick this pipe thing into the muffler or exhaust or something to make it quieter.... man i hate loud exhausts.. it's a round muffler not a oval muffler.. hmm i didn't get my stock exhaust back.. is this the way it's suppose to be? i was thinking maybe i should have taken the muffler back.. hmm hopefully the sound would go down soon.. tell u guys how it is.. =)

Hi there.. just read up on alot of stuff on the forums, read up about exhaust n stuff.. just a quick question..since we are running n/a engines.. does it matter what 2 1/2 inch catback exhaust we get? like would a brand name exhaust change the performance of the car differently from a cheaper 300 bucks catback exhaust from any exhaust shop? any good recommedations of brands? when i was doing my car tyre alignment and there was a exhaust shop right beside it sharing it's premises.. and it told me for exhaust he can change it to a supercat (whatever this is) 2 1/2 inch catback exhaust for 300 bucks.. dun wanna sound cheap but if there's not much difference in performance (being n/a engines) etc.. should i just go for the cheap ones? thanks edit: oh yeah wat's the diff between sports exhaust n normal exhaust? and what do they do differently..cheers

HolyEvil replied to HolyEvil's topic in General Maintenance

Hey there guys, i'm looking to get a body kit put on my skyline.. but can't decide whether to lower it first..then slap the kit on..or slap the kit on then lowering.. i thought of it..and wonder whether kit first then lowering would be better cuz i i can raise the car (during the lowering process) to avoid giving my kit the scraps of death.. if i lowered it first..then if the kit lies too close to the road..then it'll be scraps all around.. so is kit first then lower the right order to do things? cheers

hi there.. where did he get the disc machined, how much did it cost and how long did it take? did he have to take the disc rotors out himself or just drive to the disc machiniing place and they'll do it all. thanks -

Rear View Mirror /steering Wheel Vibration
HolyEvil replied to HolyEvil's topic in General Maintenance
hi there the wheel balance is a wheel alignment? what is a car balance? cheers -
went to the auto elec.. told him the problem, he tried it and was kinda puzzled by why it's like that.. then he went hmmm.. went off..came back with a sharp screw driver sorta thing.. starts picking at the insides of the cig lighter. plugs in the charger, the led lights up.. turns to me and say.. yeah a dirty connection.. woohoo.. don't need to change..
-
hey there guys, can anyone recognise this body kit and know where can i get it + $$$ cheers
-
thanks mate.. yeah i'll go to a auto electrician (ayone have good recommendations in sydney? live in hurstville, work in westmead) cheers

hey there guys, another noob question by myself.. =) the rear view mirror tends to vibrate once it reaches speed of 60-70 (i think about this speed) and above and it's pretty irritating, cuz..hehe at higher speeds, i can't check for cop cars behind me. and all the cars behind are at a blur..i have to hold the rear view mirror to make out the lights on the car.. anyway to eliminate this shake? another problem (if it's called a problem) is that the steering wheel tends to vibrate/shake once it gets to speeds about 80-90, is there anyway to stop this? or is this a problem with my steering.. in my previous car a toyota echo, the steering wheel don't vibrate (silghtly) till i get to 130-140 (altho the whole car was kinda wobbly)... i don't understand why a skyline's steering wheel's feel isn't as good as a toyota echo.. anyway to fix this? i don't mind paying a little money to get rid of these problem. cheers

Hi there, I read many topics on various subject but alot of times it refers to the type of car you have, and I have yet to read a post that says "for a R34 GT-4, it would be blah blah blah" etc etc so i was wondering if I was going to buy something off this site or based on the recommendation of the topics, do I go for those products advertised for R34 GT-T? or GTst etc etc? I'd like to know the setup of the GT-4 is similar to which other R34? like the GT-V is like a GT-T without a turbo, is the GT-4 the same as the GT-v, only with 4wd instead of rwd? thanks heaps
