hi there the rust on the rotors are no more, but the rust on the small circle around the rotors is still there and i that was what i really wanna get rid off.. i'll post a picture tomorrow, cuz it's too dark outside for a proper photoshoot =) a R34 GT-4 is a non turbo skyline running on 4wd.. like a wrx? so i can't get like a deep dish at the rear. so next time my pads wear out, i'll just get it changed at the brake shop and get them to machine it for me at the same time? but how do you get all 4 rotors out? what's your car standing on then? thanks

Hi there, I've searched the website but just found posts on which ones brands are good, panal vs pod etc.. I understand what pod air filters are now, and Skyline uses panel air filters as stock. I was just wondering if I wanna get a pod filter, how do I install it and if I wanna change the panel air filter, how to do install that as well.. cuz i opened my bonnet today and I can't find a place to put a pod air filter. Thank you guys! (...and girls..) p/s- are pod air filters illegal? i read some mentions of us getting defected by the cops if pulled over n they got us to open the bonnet

hi there i unscrewed the screw, but am unable to pull the whole piece of plastic out as it's 1 large piece extending to the little compartment beside the handbrake. I'm afraid of pulling hard and snapping something cuz mine is an auto and there's the power/at/snow switch in front of the ashtray. but I tried pushing in the silver bit in the cig slot so that it 'hold' the charger more, I also bent the copper looking piece (at the very end of the hole) inwards as well but stillcan't get a charge.. what's a multimeter? and anywhere i can go to get it fixed or get someone to put in a new cig lighter slot for me? I don't mind paying like 20 bucks or so.. cheers

hmm try hard as i may..i don't see the antenna for my R34.. where r the antenna located on the R34? I've seen some antennas on other R32 R33 skylines.. just I can't find mine. weird question eh.. hmmm cheers

Hi there, I was just wondering whether I would need to change the car cigarette lighter to use my car charger for my ipod and phone. I just bought a new ipod car charger and it works with cig lighter slots in other cars but when i plug it into my skyline's slot, there's just no power. Is there a difference in the cigarette lighter slots in japanese cars and local made cars? the cigarette lighter slot is working fine, the cigarette lighter gets red hot when i push it in, so what is the problem? thank you

hi there guys, just changed the wheels of my skyline and found that the disc rotors r pretty rusty and the brake looks pretty ugly.. was thinking of changing the brakes.. would the disc rotors be included (like in a package) when I change it or it needs to be changed seperately cheers

hmm sorry if i sound like a real car noob.. i use to drive an echo.. but what piping? I know muffler but have no idea what's a resonator or a catyltic converter (that's a mouthful) can you explain to me what that is? Thank you.

Hi there guys I was wondering if it would be worth it to change the exhaust of a automatic skyline r34 gt-4, would there be noticable change in performance? I was wondering which exhaust would u guys recomment, by the way, if it's beneficial to change, I'm going to get a quieter exhaust, not one of those that u can hear from 2 streets down, I like a nice sound but not those terribly loud ones. Hi there guy, I just bought a skyline 2 days back and is having heaps of fun driving it around..clocked about 270km since sat afternoon since i got it (it's monday 6pm now), but the rims of the car is really ugly..so I'm thinking of changing it but I went to tempe tyres and I can't find a rim that I like.. I f anyone has been to the sydney motor show in the past 2 weeks, I'm looking for a rim that is similar to the ones on the black (souped up by ralliart) Lancer Evo IX. It's very dark (gunmetal perhaps?) with a red line around the outer edge of the rim. It has like maybe 5 spokes (i know it's called spokes on bikes, not sure what's it called on car rims), 5 things that connect the centre of the wheel to the tyres... I was wondering if anyone knows where to get such rims? I was thinking of 18" cuz i dun really wanna have too bumpy a ride. Another q is where did you guys get insurance thru? I got it thru Just Cars and it's costing me 2500 with a excess of 1400. is this average? Another q is that when I bought the car, the dealer told me that I won't get the rego papers for the skyline but will get like a paper saying that I bought the car. Is this correct and what would happen if I wanna sellthe car and I don't have the rego papers. thanks for the replies that will follow.. Look forward to being a part of this community =) S
