Putting A Vq30det Into A V35 Coupe
rs73 replied to arnie_350gt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
if you're gonna rebuild it you can either lower the compression and add a TT kit e.g. HKS kit for about $7k plus rebuild. APS did 350z TT kit for 500HP output and last I checked they asked $17k drive in drive out. was told fully ADR-ed. It should fit onto VQ35 on V35 as well. I would imagine rebuilding will fall around $10k more or less without adding FI, either TT or S/C -
Putting A Vq30det Into A V35 Coupe
rs73 replied to arnie_350gt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
It is illegal to put engine from older generation onto a newer chassis. Reason is likely that older car was manufactured with less compliant emission - newer engine has better emission than old ones. you need to be engineered and usually an emission test cost quite literally the cost of an arm and leg that it's only worth to do the swap only if you're doing an off-street race car -
You forget to mention your trip computer is already in English! No more guessing around the screen functions! Good luck with the sale, sad to hear it needs to go, but a house is always a better investment... cars come and go...

There's quite a few pulleys and tensioners. Which one is it among the diagram below?
-
This thread revived? I did, and they ARE planning to build one subject to shire's approval. but I think they're building it on the wrong side of the street segment, I'm still suggesting to add another one. It's probably not only me who has complaint to the council as where they're planning to be building the speedhumps happens to be near the curve of the road where I often tyre marks from drifting! Anyone living there wouldn't be happy! I'm not on main road, it is residential 50km/h zone and let's not let the Mildura tragedy happens again before someone actually DO something about it.

calder park stopped doing it? or is calder getting too expensive for organisers to hire?
-
you do drifting in my area I'll call the cops. In fact I've already had a chat with local constable about some alleged drifting/high speed driving on my street.
-
You got three options: a. Driver Dynamics do Skid Pan training day in the Police training compound near Tullamarine. contact them www.driverdynamics.com.au b. Calder Park Raceway has drift event - I believe if it's still going on it'll be once or twice a month c. post anything suggesting illegal street drifting here and you're just getting this close to getting banned from this forum. it's only a matter of time before an admin saw this... and usually that time is less than the time it takes to do opposite lock.

V35 Skyline English Workshop Manual
rs73 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
it helps however Infiniti are LHD. in most cases they are similar, with exception that the electronic wiring diagram have different colour codes, and they do not have TV Tuner. There are also some cases where a RHD service manual can be a lot more useful particularly when working around engine bays... -
no idea about price, just ring nissan with the full part number. give me a series 2 coupe VIN number and I'll check it
-
that doesn't show whether it includes V36 sedan (the 350GT) or not. you'll find that most will only have V36 coupe (the 370GT). reason was there was emission testing issue that the 350GT need to pass and not many workshop is willing to fork $30,000 to pass one if there's no one buying the car
-
take a look at this then ring them (Nagoya Motors) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...=tab%3DWatching looks like the car is in the country already
-
too much hassle. unless you have lots of cash to throw around. it's probably easier just to buy the 'frames' and find a local spotlight from SuperCheap that fits onto the opening, plus an hour or two of mate's time or an auto electrician labour cost who knows what they're doing
-
sorry if I caused misunderstanding, skyline78. as I said on the phone I don't sell any parts, was just trying to help you with part number if you need them to order anything from Nissan. cos if you rock up @ dealer and ask for V35 parts they'll go "what the....?" but if you have exact part numbers, they can import the parts for you within 1 week from Japan, regardless whether your car is a local maxima or a special JDM Serena Super Slider that no-one ever heard about.

V35 Skyline English Workshop Manual
rs73 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
keep it coming guys, the more the quicker they'll consider it... even though you may get G35 workshop manual but a translated V35 manual might be better in cases where it's specific to RHD service. note that this is not a simple user manual explaining how to jack up car, fasten seat belt, etc, this workshop manual will be the full blown diagram of engine / mechanical parts etc ask those who has had a workshop manual on an older skyline generations, e.g. R32/R33/R34 it can be quite useful to those DIY work or even for your own reference. -
that's what we need. the japanese chassis number can't do it till late tonight, unless BundyBear can do it? I was just playing around with my FAST as previously I had problems with some VINs not showing up but so far the last 2-3 were ok.
-
doesn't work - I never seen that VIN format before. all imports should begin with 6U9000.......... unless yours is Australian delivered - in which I cant look it up as I don't have Australian FAST

Hi All, There is this company in NZ that do a good translation of Japanese user manuals and workshop manuals. If you visit this page and enter your interest then they may decide to actually do it when there is enough requests. http://www.jpnz.co.nz/afawcs0131171/CATID=...uctdetails.html

Common Problems With The Coupe
rs73 replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
My passenger door lock assembly has arrived from Japan! Now - let's hope I got the courage to get it swapped all the way through... myself! -
If you want OEM, don't use 4PK945R & 6PK1175R These are belt numbers and don't come up on Nissan dealership's part list. You need to use: 4PK945R - use Nissan part# AY14N-4092E for '01-Jan'03 V35 350GT, or use AY14N-4094E for all 250GT, 300GT, and Jan'03 onwards 350GT 6PK1175R - use Nissan part# AY140-61175 for all
-
Let me know which part of these illustration that you need, I can look up the FULL part number that you can take to Nissan. (The numbers on the diagram are just prefixes) Not sure what you mean radiator cover, is it radiator support?
