  1. You don't have to loose the red plastic cover, it's a good idea to keep it to prevent short circuit if in case it came into contact or getting wet. Just trim a bit of side wall of the plastic cover where it gets in the way with the larger terminal. Use a strong scissors or a cutting plier.
  2. I have a no-show software install tonight... if you're on the forum and was suppose to do install at 6pm tonight, ring me to reschedule - that is if you're still interested.
  3. if u cant find locally - gimme ur vin i'll lookup the parts number in FAST so u can take it to Nissan to check on prices. is ur insere cover this? might as well let them find parts for you
  4. NS60 series aren't direct replacement they're about 1cm lower than standard. but you can get away either by screwing down the battery clamp lower or put a 1cm hard foam/rubber layer under the battery to lift it up to correct height. Not sure about NS40 series
  5. can't go wrong with OEM philips. they're meant to last like 300,000km? pretty much the lifetime of the vehicle.
  6. some were made with colour temp in between, e.g. 5500K - you can find it then you get the best of both worlds? e.g. not too yellowish according to siu_loong_bao and not too bluish according rs73. then we'll both give you a hug...
  7. my last Scoresby Fwy trip yields me 9.6ltr/100km with 130-ish km on the odo trip meter and estimated 530+ km still available based on the trip computer's estimation - it is possible to get 600-700km a tank on the 3.5 ltr if I can keep the pace like that (e.g. long trip 6-7 hours non stop)
  8. manual reset if your screen hasn't been translated , it's the option next to consumption figure - bottom one shows history after each reset. no resets - no history
  9. sounds like a dummy add to get interests flowing in... from the picture of the door trim, it's obvious the photo is taken in either auction caryard in Japan or on the docks. looks like car is not even in Aust.
  10. Yeah, nice one... btw is that shark fin functional?
  11. can't find any reference in Aust, but here is 2 USA ebay listing on used items with light scratches http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-03-04-In...sQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-03-07-In...sQ5fAccessories Looks like they're asking price is around US$300-500
  12. I am getting a new genuine FAST update soon ex-Japan. so my current one which is FAST 2009.04 will be up for sale soon PENDING I have received my 2009.12 update and the new DVD works (no defect). I want $70 FIRM for my 'old' 2009.04 as it cost me a lot to get it shipped down here with EMS. Genuine FAST DVD-ROM - not a burnt off copy. I'll throw in free regular mail. They're not too old (April Edition) have all R35 GTR parts, and I only had it for a month or two. I think this is reasonable asking price as the latest 2009.12 will cost me about $95 to ship down. Yes, they are in very high demand in Japan. pm me if you want my 2009.04.
  13. no idea, but give Nissan a ring with these part numbers and hope for the best. Front (17x7.5"): 40300-AL325 Rear (17x8"): 40300-AL326
  14. is this something that needs to be split into like 80 parts of 100MB each? it'll be a painful exercise. The last thing I saw on rapidshare, files are limited to 100MB each and you need to be a premium member to download the whole thing otherwise a time delay and one file per session will apply... that said, I don't have the bandwidth and time to upload anything that big, even on rapidshare.
  15. unfortunately no the key only contains location at the time of install it was meant for copy protection , not for gps tracking so there's no russian mob/bodyguard following your car as u drive around . conversion price don't include secret service :-)
  16. I got it from Japan - genuine disc. It's more expensive of course than the 'free' ones you're getting but it's easier on me as I don't have to kill my bandwidth that way.
  17. unless there's a lot of seeders I don't see how torrent is gonna be painless. 8GB is no kidding... as Chris said, it's best to be on a server somewhere so no one has to open up their connection for weeks.
  18. seems my version can't lookup anything in the R32/R33 range. so i'm sure it's problem at my end not any of your car are dodgy. although look like I should be able to do it as all R32 R33 R34 range are on my FAST dvd. including V35, V36 and R35
  19. might be a typo or I'm not sure if the latest 2009 of FAST may not contain all the older models complete...
  20. and so is BCNR33041615 levelride's bc210's BNR32003202 (even with BCNR) in fact only yours work... here it is.. (so you're safe, phew)
  21. DEMSA's R32 BNR32100231
  22. is it a typo? cos looks like nissan fast didn't recognize your vin - hope it's not re-birthed
  23. It will take a lot of efforts (and cost) to decode those proprietary map format. Let alone finding another map that can be encoded into something that the ROM drive can read. It is such a pity that Xanavi built the maps in closed proprietary format, as it looks like their navigation system is one of the leading in its class (with 3D buildings, 3D view of multi-layer overpass etc).
  24. buy a 6MT is the sure easiest way to kill it.
