  1. try www.chasers.com.au they're in Queensberry St in Melbourne. I went there once and saw a few Razo knobs there...
  2. has anyone tried fitting the whole PFC internal & circuitry into the stock ecu casing? might be an idea for wolf in sheep's clothing disguise....
  3. If these are the R33 M-Spec one (not stock) I wouldn't mind getting the pair if u can get it shipped to Melb. Any scratches or cracks?
  4. Does the speed beeper is in the same box as the reverse gear beeper? My car still beeps when reversing, but when i go over 105 or 110 there was no ding dong sound so i guess the prev owner must have disabled it? or was it a part of compliance to remove it as it's not ADR?
  5. Ok, now does the ECU requires speed signal in conjunction with other factors such as engine rpm, throttle pos, crank angle, etc to determine how much fuel to add into the engine? Will cutting this "magical" wire 53 to make the ECU "speed blind" will have effect on any A/F ratio or timing or anything else?
  6. That's nice. does the wheel comes with airbag sensor or only the wheel itself? I wonder how to wire it in a non-airbag vehicle.
  7. Darrin, will that wheel works on GTS-t as well? particualrly with HICAS sensor & stuffs going around at the back of our wheels..?
  8. The damaged one?? asking for around $700-750ish. Still a good purchase as it's only cosmetic damage at the back side facing the radiator and unnoticeable once it's installed on the car.
  9. R33 ECU can't be reprogrammed, only R32 can. Best of luck trying it unless u get a replacement chip something like a Powerchip? PowerFC works only with manual cars, not with auto so auto GTS-t owners are left stranded out there. So if they got an auto, then RSM for $300-400 or speed cut removing device like HKS/Trust SCD around $85 or cut wire 53 for free with risk it may affect something else....
  10. Best to replace the ECU with manual one so it doesnt reduces power when it thinks it should shift gear. Second you may be right for converted car to be running a bit faster than stock cars due to auto's 4.3 taller diff ratio helps better in acceleration compared to the manual's 4.1. Reliability should not be an issue as they're both have pretty much the same internals apart from gearing ratio. For GTS-T at least both manual and auto has viscous lsd out of factory (or A-LSD as option). In Toyota Soarers they are different cause only manual soarers comes with lsd but not auto ones but I could be wrong. You gotta thank Nissan for using lsd in both manual & auto skylines! You should not have issue with fuel consumption and final top speed as the difference in ratio is only about 4%, but that small difference could mean a few millisecond faster down the drag strip ;-) 1st & 2nd gear may feel a bit stronger too but i doubt many would feel it. Leave the diff u dun have to change it if it's not broken. Driveshaft for auto & manual has different length so it should have been replaced during conversion anyway. U can get away with ECU but best to swap it with manual ECU. Wiring looms are the same so it's an easy job to swap it. So Jay.. dun worry about it, if it's done properly (take it up on a hoist and examine) and everything is in place then it should not be a problem at all.
  11. I found putting 225/50 on the 6 1/2 JJ 16 stock rims caused the sidewall to flex too much. I'm stuck with it gonna go back to 205/55 once these tyres on my car used up their lifespan.
  12. All taxis in Singapore has it.... and those taxi drivers there just dun care they keep caining it on the freeway, ding dong ding dong all the way from airport to hotel.... I found it quite hillarious.
  13. hm.... I didn't know nz cops are another tourist attraction in sth island besides the glaciers, milford sound & mt cook...
  14. I thought when u rent a car in NZ there's a clause that you signed on that u agree to be responsible on all fines. Couldn't the rental company charges you on the fine because it incurred during your rental period and they still have your credit card imprint?
  15. ey man.... u're bloody "lucky" to be caught speeding on SA side. if you haven't crossed the border when u got pinged you would have lost your license for doing more than 15km/h above the posted limit. here in VIC dictator state we start getting fines as low as 2km/h above the limit.
  16. DIY??? just get those lugs in whatever colour they have and get some grey colour spray cans... Alternatively, acrylic paint like Tamiya ones may do good on plastic, but I think they won't stick well especially after you use a screwdriver to tighten them... spray paint is better.
  17. guess something wrong with the quality control in the factory, if a batch of new cars can already have rust in it? I thought chassis is suppose to be made of something that can't rust? as it's the main structure of the car wouldn't wanna cut corners in that. body panel is different story as it can be replaced if dented or rusted.
  18. I think the rule of the thumb is: - The more k's your car got, the quicker things will falls apart. - Local cars tend to do a lot more k's in a year particularly if you buy an ex-fleet commodore or falcons thus a 3yr old car can sometimes feel much older than it is. - Imported cars tend to do less k's (not always the case) so generally an import car of the same age would likely be in better condition than local cars. - When you do million of k's like in aussie cabs, local or import car all can do it providing you: maintain oil change regularly, and replacing gearbox (talked to a cab driver with 1million k, the cab he drove has had 2 or 3 gearbox rebuilt or replacement - can't remember) Now how many skylines (or other jap performance import) owners actually do a million km in their car within 5 yr time? Not many. Almost none I believe. Thus not many owners reached the level of age where their car requires a gearbox/diff replacement or engine rebuilt... A different story if you buy an R33 4 door and run your own taxi business. You probably find that you may need to replace gearboxes, diff, or rebuilt engine as often as local cabs. Since I've never heard of such owners using jap import as taxi cabs, it's hard to do a direct comparison whether import cars will be better after a million km compared to local ones.
  19. It's suppose to be bolt on with minor trimming required to the bumper... Not that big... 470x260x70 on top of my head..... if I'm not mistaken. Good for mild power mods on the street.
  20. well styling is very subjective.... some ppl prefer S2 front end yet some prefer S1. I like them both. guess the squarish S2 front end is balanced by the squarish S2 rear spoiler... compared to the S1 curved rear spoiler. interior wise i prefer the look & material of S1 seat and dash, but prefer the S2 airbag steering wheel. exterior wise I like both S1 & S2 front end but only the S1 rear spoiler (curved one).
  21. Jeremy, I thought GTS-t Type M is 1360kg for manual and 1390kg for auto?
  22. Fuel consumption will feel bad especially when you jumped from a previous 4-cyl common shopping carts. Heck even my bro complaint about fuel consumption after he replaced his 95 Civic sedan with the new Accord Euro - and his 4-cyl Accord Euro consumption is still LESS than my car!
  23. U were in Bandung? I was there for 7 years man... from 91-98. Small city not as crowded and not as hot as Jakarta being in the high grounds...
  24. Yes, parking pole or parking antenna. Dunno what they call. It's the pole thing on the passenger side of front bar corner, useful for those car owners in japan who can't judge distance when doing paralel parking.
  25. So............ is it a stock one or a factory option Type-M one that sits on top of the stock spat?
