Great times, hope we're back on track now.... anyone got qtr time for latest ENzo and Porsche GT2?
-
I think i've seen a vids of GTR vs NSX along with other Evos, Porsche, Lambo. The NSX kinda finish 2nd last as far as I remember, while GTR is on 2nd position, lost only to the Lambo. Dun think GTR is a supercar yet as STOCK GTR do 0-100 in around 5sec. Any STOCK supercars I've seen so far do 0-100 in around 3.5 to 4sec. The chasis construction is not really a major engineering design, although it is very rigid for a road car. NSX (forgot what it do for 0-100) is classified as supercar as the price is also abour $250K I think? The monocoque chasis design on NSX is something quite unique too.

Doxx, how much u reckon he'll do the whole car? think i'll respray my car one day @ ur cousin.

SOLD....... ALL SOLD..... Thank you! -
Talking about $150k, has someone seen any vid or do performance comparison between an M3 and R34 GTR? They both would cost about $150K brand new.....

Saw an old late 80s or possibly early 90s Falcon GLi (square-ish shape) with a tail light black plastic insert to create an illusion of Skyline's 4 round tail lights.... LOL hahaha. Last seen @ McDonalds Clifton Hill, seen it around there 2nd time already, so could be someone who lives/works in the area.
-
ah, ha ha ha... yeah that would make more sense in that case.

not sure of hi level euro garages. maybe sent it to brabus then. but as far as I know brabus only do merc. Staunch, i read that issue too. My bro subscribe to wheels. If I had a spare $150k lying around I would probably get a 2nd hand GTR over any 2nd hand porsche too. I imagine a 2nd hand $110-150k porsche wouldn't be from one of the top end models. However on the other hand, a late model M3 would also be nice for that price range.

A Mines R34 is NOT a stock GTR. To be fair you have to compare stock to stock and compare Mines R34 GTR to a McLaren that has been tweaked by a similar garage. (E.g. Send a McLaren to Mines and ask them to tweak it then compare it against their own R34 GTR). I am more interested to cars that can win in a circuit battle or similar (Touge, etc). Cars that only win 1/4 mile but can't win in terms of cornering/handling/braking is not my ball of game. What's the title of the DVD u got that shows an R34 GTR beating the Euros?
-
Hmm... i've d/l heaps of vids (racked up quite a few $$ on my dialup bill too ) of GTR vs other cars on track circuit racing. And GTR never wins.... it's always the Porsche who wins at the end of the 5 laps. If you have a vid to show that GTR kicks Porsche butt or any other euro exotics let me know wher I can get them.
-
WHAT??? so if you're turning the steering wheel 180degree on a tight turn, then you'd be looking at the speedo/tacho cluster upside down right on your lap?
-
I think when talking about fellow jap cars, not much that can beat GTR. But if talking abt euro exotics, all those Lambo, Ferraris, 996 TT will surely give the GTR a beating like school bullies. GTR is a great car but still not up there to compete with those euro exotics, unless it's extensively modified. However for $ to $ value, a GTR is still a much more affordable car.

Good for you if you can do that. Sadly, that is still impossible for me. The only place big enough for a table is in my living room and there's no way I'm gonna do some spray painting in there. All the paint fume makes the room smells like sh1t afterwards. Believe me I tried before and I learnt my lesson. Smell like paint for days even with windows opened for days. I live in a flat and it's either painting in my living room or my balcony outside. I choose the balcony as I have no garage or shed, only car spot side by side with other neighbours on a shared open space. And I can't do it in the car park as the paint fume will definitely flew over blown by the wind and may stain my neighbour's car. Each car here is parked next to each other about 50-60cm apart only. I don't wanna be sued for any paintwork damage on their car.

Luv my car, but no car is perfect. If you wanna me to b1tch abt it, here goes (in order of severity): - Boot is definitely too small for a car that size. - Non foldable rear seat. considering the boot was so small they should have considered this to maximise storage during odd occasion where u have to haul something a bit large. - Body a little bit too long for a sports car, can be awkward to reverse park at sometimes (my prev 4 dr galant hatch was easier to reverse park despite its longer than my r33!) - Only 1 cup holder (c'mon man the centre console should be wide enuf to be designed to accommodate at least two 2 holders.) - Too many coin holders (why so much?? 2 at the centre console and 1 at the dash WTF) - Autolock can be annoying for some. for those who like it, why only on passenger side? (I myself is ambivalent abt it, neither hate nor like it) - Interior styling could have been less drab (too much grey) but again for cars designed 10 yrs ago it was quite an ok design (e.g. similar yr RX7 interior has nicer look) - ABS & Dual airbags should have been std for all R33 (I got ABS only). - Stock boost level should've been 1-2 psi higher (around 8 or 9 ps stock would be nice). - Mine seems to have stock 16x6.5"? At least 16x7" would be better. (I put 225/50 and it looks a bit too wide, so I'm sure mine is 6.5" wide rims, not 7") - Access to battery is difficult, also reduces space in the boot. - No centre rear seat means 1 less mate to haul, but most sports coupes r like that so I put this one as a last one on the list.

meggala, will running the rb26 with rb20 ecu gonna detune the engine power output (due to different fuel maps, etc)? r u talking about std rb20 ecu or a re-chipped one?

IMO with silver base it will only make the candy red looks like just another metallic red, as metallic base are silverish. The idea with gold base is to add more intensity to the red overcoat because gold has some yellowish metallic spectrum in it. On the other hand, harlequin will look crazy but depends on what u want, doxx... is that too flashy for you to drive on the street? Or u want ur car to be show car from now on... well garaged, displayed at annual MAS, etc..... up to u mate, quite a few ideas here.

* honk * honk * under negotiation.... will sell asap if no better offer. -
Yeah good luck man.... I'd imagine it'll be quick... TT supra & TT 300ZX autos are REAL fast cars and in stock form they'll smoke any stock manual gts-t. Just make sure you strengthen that auto box as what craz0 said..... I believe the RB26TT auto would be devastating quick too!

Transparent candy red on gold base. Makes it almost like a flip effect.

I can't be justified to spend that much too for a pod setup just to gain little power. So I'd go with a paper Apexi panel filter. Not sure how many % better airflow compared to stock paper filter, but it's definitely less than $100 to spend like you said. There's a website somewhere that did comparison and showed the Apexi pod version has better filtration yet still has excellent airflow. HKS pod with its green foam material was worse as far as I remember (higher flow but filtration not good - small dust particles gets thru). As the Apexi panel & pod filter both uses the same red paper material, I'd suppose the panel version I bought would be quite good for the street.

What material? Abs plastic resin or fibreglass? Click Go Advance button in the quick reply, one of the option further down the screen is to manage attachment, you can post pics from there. Otherwise send it to me via email and I will post it for you here. -
Well I accidentally squashed my 8310 in between the driver's seat so the cover is cracked and the LCD has gone dark at the upper RH corner. If excess is around $150 I wouldn't bother as new 8310 like mine goes for about $150 on Ebay these days... Good thing is my contract is coming to an end in about a month or so, so time for another $1 new phone + plan

You can paint it black again yourself should be pretty easy, just need patience to take it off. I painted mine to silver myself.
