    The Dyno is IN!!

It's about time..... I still need to tune my HKS EVC & SAFC... been delayed for 3-4 months now....
  2. I know this is Nissan forum, and some of the people here are fanatical. That applies the same when you're in Ford forum, thus that discussion comes up. However Ford fan or not, the BA XR6T is a great car. I think with the BA series Ford is definitely done something very good. If in the future Ford never returns to the ugly AU shape... My next car would likely to be XR6T.... Otherwise perhaps the next generation of Liberty GT.
  3. Easy! Before you test the horn, reconnect the battery. I was talking about disconnecting the battery only whille opening the steering wheel just to check if the plastic horn button is shattered inside. That is if the airbag system doesn't have that capacitor you mentioned about. Since you know about it so now it's a different case. As I said in my post ask around to ppl who knows as I never had airbags before so dunno how they work. I take no responsibility if the owner of the car decide to open the steering wheel without knowledge.
  4. James, I bet it wins traffic light drag against any nannas on bike australiawide!!!!!
  5. Ben, Do you mean these are the two grille from each corner of the front bar? Please see pic attached, If so I'll take the pair!! Rianto
  6. I can do it myself but problem is I don't have a workshop to do it. And doing it in an open space at my place means while paint is drying dust/dirt particles could landed on the surface and spoil the result. I had this done on my speedo surround, because it was a small part, as soon as I spray it I took it inside and cover it with a box. Dash facia is a different story as it's way too large to find a box to fit to cover it. So I'm sticking with black on mine, but silver would be nice. Seen blue, red, carbon fibre texture (stick-on) but never seen gunmetal. Anyone tried gunmetal before?
  7. Will airbag deploy if it doesn't have 12V supply? If not, maybe disconnect your battery before you do anything to it. Ask around, if not sure don't do it.
  8. Any pics? Does it come with brake lights or no? Also is the fin adjustible like the GTR one? Thank's.
  9. From your 1st post seems that you have just recently acquire your R33 and still "enjoying" the newfound pleasure trip to power zone.... which means you're likely to drive your R33 with a heavier right foot, right? It happened to me too and yes, fuel consumption can be high. It all depends how heavy your right foot is. Try to stay off boost most of the time and you'll see that RB25DET fuel consumption is similar to most other NA 6-cyl cars. For a comparison freeway consumption should be around 10L/100km, while city consumption (depends on traffic) can be around 12-13L/100km. May jump to 15-16L/100km if you drive it "enthusiastly". If it's modified (higher than stock boost, aftermarket ecu, etc) then it can get higher.
  10. Nicky, do you know from which year R33 GTR it came from? Was it a 2nd hand unit or a new unit from Nissan parts? Thankx.
  11. Denham, We had an Benz E55 (not quite SL55) on the Skidpan last February already... http://au.geocities.com/sau_skidpan_210204/index8.htm I think the idea for Stage 5 might be taken from our skidpan vids. LOL.
  12. The rattle is the white plastic horn button inside the steering wheel shattering into pieces due to age. Open up your wheel and its centre pieces, try go get all the pieces back and glue them with supa glue and some magic tape to hold them together, that will do the job.
  13. what about in Victoria, anyone know who can tune HKS F-Con?
  14. GREAT PICS.... I'd love to go to Japan now.... !!!
  15. No worries, forget it. I found why ships "drive" on the right. Naval rules. And we're talking about cars here, so it's irrelevant. Here;s another link to look at which compares cars with boats, wagons, trains, etc. http://www.brianlucas.ca/roadside/
  16. But ships when passing each other they keep right...? But their port side is left side? Our busses like other cars keep left when they drive but (docks) to the bus station on the left. So why ships keep right the other way around? Reason is we went to winery tour and hire a boat to get to a winery from the river. We were told that when we are driving the boat we have to keep right instead of keep left (opposite of driving a car).
  17. Anywhere past your fence is public property managed by the council. So yes, you can be booked. Parking on the lawn between ur house and the road (the green area) may also incur a fine as you're not suppose to do that. You'll destroy the grass and may hinder council worker if they come to cut the grass. Well mate, you're not alone, I'm sure there are lots of other people got caught in that situation as well. You can try appeal for the ticket, do it nicely and sometime they'll let you off in the first offence but don't take my word for it 100%. Good luck.
  18. Yusuf, dId u have to pell off the coating layer (like a film) on your trim before you spray it? How d'u do that, just sand them over? Have anyone thought of gunmetal instead of silver?
  19. Tough luck mate. Just because your driveway goes thru the footpath, doesn't mean you own that part. The council still owns it and manages it as public space, and your driveway extension is only a privilege given to you so you can access your house. If you park blocking the footpath, then the council can give you a parking ticket. I read somewhere, this has happened quite often to those who are unaware of this...
  20. what do u use the moustache for??? making the shaver shop richer.....

    Ya like this?

looks very nice...... dun think the door trim is missing, its just reflection of building on the a-pillar and roof, and the guards seems to be a little bit wide (modified?), thus the door won't flush with the rear guards.
  22. 205 is not too small. 205/55R16 is standard tyre size on a stock 16x7" R33 rims.
  23. I imagine you will need wheel speed sensor on all 4 corners, ABS computer and maybe (not sure) the ABS pump to adjust brake pressure according to the ABS computer command. Not sure how expensive this exercise will be, would it be easier if you learn to use "human ABS" instead? Learn the sweet spot on your brake pedal where you are just about locking the wheel when braking hard. With lots and lots of practice, you can make this a habit and be able to stop in emergency situation without panicking. Moreover, people who regularly go to the racetrack normally prefer cars with non-ABS as the ABS sometimes kicks in too early when braking before corners.
  24. Will it fit with R33 with sunroof due to less headroom? Also any pic of the mounting on the parcel shelf, any mods required there?
