with all these sound issues, it would be interesting to gather data of what exhaust system has been tested at which db... so anyone else who's got their exhaust tested, maybe can post their db result and exhaust brand, and if it is cat back, turbo back or dump back, etc...

Two wheels? Kev, get a Harley... Jack: I've only been 2-3 times as far as I remember... wouldn't dare to call me an expert yet...
-
Yeah, it was from my first time sliding, when I lost it and spins. But apparently a loss created a win... With that splash of water, sun from behind, and certain picture cropping, it looks dramatic! Thank's to whoever took this shot for me at that precise moment!

Jack: a word of warning, he might not let u have ur car back after the session
-
Wow, that's great.... is he gonna use a Porsche on the day?

Circumstances has changed, sorry guys I have to pull out as I'll be overseas on the 28th Feb... have fun cruising!
-
Skidpan session allocation has started, please indicate where you'd prefer to go... To make this as smooth as possible, also let me know via pm if you can go any day, as some of you may be working on weekends and not be able to make it to either one of the days.
-
Sorry to hear abt it Greg. Glad no one was injured. Such a nice car is wasted. I think it's better a write-off, repairing such damage wouldn't be 100% anymore.... hope all works well with the insurance..

adjustable sway bars: tuning!
rs73 replied to Craved's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Go for the swaybar (under the car) first if you want less body roll. the strut brace won't make much different for body roll, it will only increase chasis rigidity for high speed cornering, but most of the time during general driving you won't feel the difference with or without the strut brace. Better to upgrade both front & rear swaybars, it will allow u to tune understeer & oversteer characteristic of your car. In theory if u have stiffer rear swaybar and softer front (or the other way around), ur chasis could twist during hard cornering because of different body roll front & rear... I would imagine it wouldn't be too nice -
No worries, just let me know... I'm starting to allocate times, so can you guys register which time you prefer: Saturday 21st February 2004 (AM), 08:00-12:00 1. Thanh Ngo (RX-7) 2. Corey (180SX) 4. 5. 6. Sunday 22nd February 2004 (PM), 1:00-5:00 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

Hi kev, sorry I was out dinner and movie just then, saw ur msg.... Yeah jump in. I'll put you in. If we got more than 12, as I said I'll be happy to arrange 3 groups...
-
Mine is HKB R33 Hicas kit, bought from Autospeed. Not the best finish IMO, but one accessory shop who put it on admired it that he told me it's still much better quality than most other cheap boss kits he had seen.
-
There seems to be huge difference in price everywhere, I've seen the same boss kit sold for $80 or $120 in various places... but price variation ranging from $40 to $250... it's wild!
-
halz, won't be a problem, looks like if we have 13 confirmed ppl to go, then i'd be happy to open another 4 hour session on sunday 22nd feb. i'd put your name in for the meantime and u can ask ur mate to come along.
-
thx for updating the list for me, hksgtst.... I'd be sending PMs around once I got booking day pre-confirmation from Driver Dynamics. Simmo32, no you can't come and watch as this is a training day no event. If you want to pay extra $10,000 for public liability insurance, you're welcome to watch and bring all your mates as well hey doxx, no problem... have fun with the new wheels don't go blinding old ppl around ur block with those shiny new rims u got

I won't be going to the 1st "guest list only" event as I already promised to visit my friend this Sunday... beside it's likely too late already by now. But I'd be up for that 20th March event... Do we just be a spectator or can we have a run as well? Will there be different levels like beginners, intermediate, pro? It's not funny for a beginner to compete against pro and getting smashed up trying some fast corners dedicated for pros only... I'm sure many ppl still like to drive their cars back home in 1 pc.
