    Hail storm damage?

Well, the damage on my bro's honda accord was pretty horrific. He was very sad right now, had the brand spanking new car not more than 1 week, now damaged by hail. Surprisingly my car which is next to him is doing allright. Seems that Honda's body panels are extremely thinner compared to Skyline. All his bonnet, roof and bootlid are dented everywhere, quite visible to naked eye. Makes me wonder if GT-R aluminium bonnet is also thinner than the GTS-t metal bonnet? Will it be prone to similar damage? What about carbon bonnet?
  3. I like it... why do you have to be in Sydney
  4. best wishes and speedy recovery for everyone....
  5. I'm not sure if it's the same... R33 GTS-t LSD is 4.11:1 for manual and 4.3:1 for auto... 3.69 will be too small, speedo will be off and may cause the car to accelerate much slower due to taller gearing. Good for high speed run though, like 300km/h land speed record as stock diff ratio will only allow about 250km/h top speed.
  6. I have the same ones as yours, I thought they are clip-on? So you can just take it off, unclip it and send the metal guard. You can keep the factory plastic ones underneath, no need to ask the buyer to send theirs in? Good luck with the sale, anyway...
  7. still for sale? I'll take it. sent you a pm.
  8. any pics? also pics for your rims for sale?
  9. The measurement unit in std factory boost gauge is not PSI, but x100 mmHg (millimeters of Mercury at 0 degree Celcius). It's actually written on the std boost gauge if you look closely. 1 Bar = +/- 750 mm Hg 1 Bar = 14.5 PSI Hence +7 on std boost gauge is 700 mmHg or about 13.5PSI I have the Nismo aftermarket dash cluster, but it is still in x100 mmHg, only the speedo that goes up to 300km/h (like I'm gonna ever reach it...)

  13. I drove the car again and find that steering wheel still not dead straight... tried to move the boss kit a notch to compensate... and see what happens tomorrow.. sometimes it's kind of funny. you move one notch to the left or right you just can't get it straight, like the boss kit mount requires an extra notch in the middle to make it straight... any other ideas?
  14. I guess I'll start... this may have been heard by some but why not... Samurai Back in the time of the Samurai there was a powerful emperor who needed a new head Samurai. He sent a declaration throughout the country that he was searching for a new head Samurai. A year passed and only three people showed up to apply for the position: a Japanese Samurai, a Chinese Samurai and a Jewish Samurai. The emperor asked the Japanese Samurai to come in and demonstrate why he should be the new head Samurai. The Japanese Samurai opened a match box and out popped a little fly. Whoosh went his sword and the fly dropped dead on the ground in two pieces. The emperor exclaimed, "That is very impressive!'' The emperor then asked the Chinese Samurai to come in and demonstrate why he should be the new head Samurai. The Chinese Samurai also opened a match box and out popped a fly. Whoosh, whoosh went his sword. The fly dropped dead on the ground in four pieces. The emperor exclaimed, "That is really very impressive!'' The emperor then had the Jewish Samurai demonstrate why he should be the new head Samurai. The Jewish Samurai also opened a match box and out popped a fly. His flashing sword went whoooooossshhh, whoooooossshhh, whooooooossshhh, whoooooossshhh, whoooooossshhh. A gust of wind filled the room, but the fly was still alive and buzzing around. The emperor, obviously disappointed, asked, "After all of that, why is the fly stilll alive?'' The Jewish Samurai smiled and said, "Circumcision is not intended to kill.''
  15. Most of them are the early 1989 R32 GT-R that can be imported under 15yo rule from around mid next year 2004. they are cheaper as only need engineer paper. But I reckon a later 94 R32 GT-R V-Spec II would still be pricey. Nothing wrong with the old ones as long as they are original, never been overly modified then reliability shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, could be a time bomb and better set aside a few thousands for engine rebuild just in case.

    Hail storm damage?

Just washed the car today.... Upon closer inspection looks like I've copped some hail damage on the roof. Not really a dent, but if you look at it the surface ripples a little bit where it has been pounded by the ice... Can't see much on the bonnet, but found one tiny hail chip where the paint has gone, exposing the metal.
  17. Dun worry abt it... I went back to the shop tell them what happened. They switched one of the rims front to rear on one side yesterday, because one of the rims bounced a bit more on the balancer due to perhaps hitting a pothole and bent it a bit.. Got it swapped back again... now steering wheel seems to have straighten up again... Turned out just bias in tyres due to uneven wear front and rear. They should have swapped both sides left-right not just one side.

    Hail storm damage?

Is there a chance of any damage to a car's mechanical when water rose up to door sill level, which means half the rim is soaked, and all underneath of car will be immersed with water including oil sump? That's the level in our carpark... my car was soaked up to door sill but lucky water still doesnt get in. 1 cm higher it would have been in.
  20. Hypnotik, are you still coming. Check your pm...
  21. I just did some wheel alignment near my office today. Not very happy with the job... the car doesn't pull left or right which means it's balanced, however..... my steering wheel which used to be straight now isn't straight!!!! Can I just pull out the steering wheel boss kit and turn it a notch to make it straight, or does the alignment had to be re-done with the steering wheel hold straight??? Will turning the boss kit a notch gonna stuff up HICAS alignment? Anyway I'm gonna bring it back to them tomorrow and ask them to fix it. If they still can't do it, I'll never go anywhere near them anymore...
  22. How's the storm damage count goes? It was such a big storm last night, many cars in our car park got flooded. My bro's brand new Accord Euro got wet carpet at the back. My car was still dry, luckily somehow.... All downstair (ground floor) neighbours were flooded. We're on first floor and lucky no leak from above. The weather bureau said there might be another storm tonight, I just hope it won't be as bad as last night. Hope everyone is ok...
  23. no worries inark Scotsman - HKSgtst, you two got pm Rianto
  24. I've bought many pricey items from nengun. reliable seller and no problem so far.
