MOMO Millenium steering wheel for sale(NEW)
rs73 replied to 0288's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Normally if you have a std factory airbag, you are not allowed to replace that with afm steering wheels, unless you got permit from Dept of Transport/RTA/Vicroads/whatever. Plus in regards to ADR, the minimum diametre requirement is 330mm. Anything less you'll be defected straight away. I also heard about the afm steering wheel must be padded just like the factory one... if this rule is to be adhered strictly, then the only legal afm steering wheel would be something like the Momo Club 4-spoke below (360mm)... not much choice if u wanna follow the rules ey? PS: anyway $350 is a good price for Millenium, anyone interested better grab it quick... Good luck with the sale! -
1 spot for Sunday, 1 spot for Saturday. If we got 7 people in each group, time will be 12pm to 5pm. This is to ensure that everyone got the fair share amount of time to "play"

MEGGALA!!! I was wondering when you're gonna come forward. We can have max 7 ppl in one group, so you can choose Saturday or Sunday. I'll send you a pm when I got home from work... Cya..

Hi, Thx for the reply. I actually found an HKS EVC EZ-II, which is exactly has the same Stepping Motor & Control Unit found in the HKS EVC 4. Price is quite a bargain at less than $650. The unit is upgradable to full HKS EVC 4 by buying the optional screen which part# is provided in case I wanna order one. I decided this is the best one to go as I can add the screen later when I have a spare $300 lying around. The screen adds a "beep beep" overboost warning function and password protection, and scramble boost, which would not be really needed for my everyday use right now. It's sitting right here @ home, cant wait to put it on... Dave, is it still possible to remove the factory solenoid completely? as I was told that the factory solenoid can sometime interferes or confuses the ECU when used in conjunction with aftermarket boost controllers.

my tyres are 225, maybe they're a bit too grippy?
-
if your rear tyres has too much grip compared to your fronts... you could understeer all the way in the bowl... it happened with one of the guys who went there last month. better if you got time to put tyres with least grip on the back... allow you to have more fun during the day... a little bit grip on the front shouldn't hurt, it'll probably prevent you from understeering and overshoot the bowl edge (if you get too excited with your right foot)

I think I know which one it is... that'll be the same design with Apex'i N1 & GT Spec. They'll obviously be louder than Trust MX. Do they come with tail silencer like N1 & GT? Maybe that'll cut the noise down a bit.

there's quite a few clubs that is cams affiliated.... dunno if clubs like nissan/datsun owners club is interested to conduct such event, but doesnt always to be limited to nissan makes. we can try contacting other clubs, cos if basically we want more ppl to attend, it should be open to any makes/model.

In general, most 3" system would be loud. They can all be JASMA certified as I think JASMA's max db limit is still higher than our EPA standard. (One exhaust shop even laughed & called me crazy to have 3" system - they say I better have a 500HP car with that!) However, you can do visual inspection to save you some headache later. Just by looking at the design, any canon style muffler (such as Apex'i N1 style) would likely be a bit loud unless you chuck in a tail silencer. Non canon style muffler would be a step quieter, such as Trust MX (have one on my car) with a proper mid resonator and end muffler section like stock ones except for a 114mm tip. HKS Super Dragger would be in this category too IMO. Some other exhaust would even be quieter and only sounds a bit louder than stock. I can't think of many but on top of my head would be something like Nismo Weldina, Kakimoto (heard one before - very quiet) or Fujitsubo Hope this helps. PS: Ronin, which Trust exhaust you got? Do you know which model, as there are many varieties and some are louder than the others.

BMT is in northern suburb, ICE is in southern. IMO those two workshops can actually complement each other as each probably has their own customer base who lives around their areas.

hey,, i missed this thread.... i'm organising the next drift training on a skidpan... nothing compared to JMS event in adelaide, but at least it allows ppl to experience sideways action while absolutely know nothing about it.... the instructor was actually keen on starting a local drift scene in VIC, having trying to run a full drift day. However, (sadly) the response has not been very positive. At this moment I don't think we have any sponsors, so anyone going will have to fork out around $200-300 bucks for it, and that is one of the reason that deters most of us... all these is mainly to pay for use of facility, as proper race tracks are quite expensive to rent, not to mention that some location requires a certain level of public liability insurance, which can get really really expensive! Probably if we can get some sponsor support, then things like what's been going on in SA, QLD can also happens here...
-
Ni, Why do you need extra set for the day? I used my everyday set and it doesn't wear out. It's not like JMS D2 event in SA, if that's what you're thinking.... But you can always swap there... perhaps a worn out one at the back so it's easier to slide...

When you install HKS EVC, do you keep the factory solenoid or can you remove the solenoid completely and only using the HKS stepping motor?
-
It wont work. Both control unit and stepping motor will have to be using the same serial no. If you buy it from someone that way, it's sounds very dodgy obviously.

Greg has been added to saturday's group... this mean saturday group may start 1 hr earlier (12pm to 5pm) let me know if any problem with it.

Buying Stuff From Nengun Or Greenline!!!!!!!
rs73 replied to GTB055's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I agree, checking up on someone's bank account is a very bad thing to do, mxfly... without any legal court order what you & your friend @ the bank is doing are highly illegal n you guys should be ashamed, this is surely an abuse of power as he works in a bank, he should loose his job too! I havent' ordered from greenline yet but from what ppl said I believe they'll provide good service. All this time I've ordered many stuffs from nengun(air filters, gearknobs, elect. boost control). Deliveries always around 14 days, and the quickest from nengun was even 5 business days!!!!! All I can say that he (nengun) is a top bloke who sometimes go all the extra effort to find stock for me even on a Sunday!!!! I have never, ever, got that kind of excellent service from any local shops here... I dunno about your emails, but I pm-ed him on this forum and I always get a quick reply. Lately I also send emails and I got quick reply from nengun too, less than 6 hours usually, or 1 day on weekends. rianto -
even if you're running 16-20-30psi... sure there are aftermarket plumback BOV that can hold that much pressure... nice and quiet.... and proves that you're not a wanker...

If I manage to be able to start my car which has been stranded for a week in the workshop due to my immobiliser playing up, and thus allowing my car to be worked on till finished.... then I'm in... otherwise I won't have a car..... Sometimes I hate immobilisers...... you need them, but if it plays up, it's pissing everybody off.....

rims, bar, timer, aic, spring

white bar... sorry wrong colour, thx for the pics anyway good luck with the sale.... -
Kris (sKyLyN), there is still spot left.... I've send you a pm, let me know if you prefer Saturday or Sunday... Hi Greg, there is still spot left and being non turbo has nothing to do with skidpan session. You can bring non turbo cars, you can bring automatic transmission cars, I mean why not? You're learning how to control a car in a skidding situation, even any old corolla/gemini can do this.... very slippery as so much water and oil... Plus... drifting is not about speed... it's about style Beside, if your car is the non turbo GTS, being a non turbo you've got more torque down low in the rev... no need to wait for the turbo to spool up, which means..... instant sideways!!!!
