Bought as a set from Rus (Wayne). I have decided keep the front one but not the rear one. The reason is I want the low mount boot type, not the one that goes through the parcel shelf. Can't be bothered to create a new parcel shelf (too busy with work, and too little time on weekends). Based on 2nd hand parts dealer this item should be going around $250 due to rear strut brace for R33 are not easy to find (rare). So... $250ono NO SILLY OFFERS, so please don't waste anyone's time. Genuine interest only! pm or e-mail [email protected]

What is knock/ping/detonation beyond definition?
rs73 replied to AeroGrace's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Does anyone hav any WAV/MPG other sound sample of what a pinging engine sounds like? -
I bought my Trust MX full exhaust system from Taka, it was a bit slow due to Trust MX was out of stock, seems ppl are keen towards HKS dragger and N1, which I don't. But once the item was on stock, it takes about 5 business day via EMS shipping to Melbourne, incl custom clearance and everything. PerfectRun seems to be a bit pricier than Taka, but they offer some items that aren't in Taka, and vice versa. So do your price comparison 1st between the two.

would low profile speakers means they will have inferior bass response? Since the better ones usually have larger magnets and thus may intrude to the hicas system behind it.

Do you know how would this ROM perform with our 98 RON fuel? Most jap ROMs are tuned for 100 RON fuel and may caused some problems here...? -
well, I suppose the auto speedo will still have that shift indicator on it. P-R-N-D-3-2 or sumthing like that. If you convert to manual and still use that auto speedo, don't be surprised if the speedo reading is out. maybe because of the difference in gear ratios?

at least she didn't end up calling the racv guy... hehehe

maybe contact Motor magazine, they regularly do PCOTY and measures top speed with speed camera, so they must have access to it or own it. Horus, I wanna be in. But before we pay you, can we actually have at least the EXACT date please?

is it possible to combine both SC for low end pwr & turbo for top end and make these things work as if they're sequential TT system? 1st SC then past certain rpm turbo kicks in.

is it becoz some bighead morons who did the course became over confident with their ability then got into a crash and then RTA came and assess these ppl.... forgetting about hundreds of others who took the course but never had a crash afterwards? I'll be doing my 2nd level mid April. Did 1st level and it was great fun. And Roy, I tried replacing my headlight bulb with Narva 50plus, it doesn't help as bright as HID light conversion, but it gives better visibility compared to normal bulbs. Try that one. But I won't recommend the ice blue Narva though, as the bulb is slightly tinted to give that white illumination, but in brightness term, not as bright as the Plus 50. I'm not sure if they have more than Plus 50 sold but might be for a bigger bulb not the 12v55w ones. Skylines uses 12v55w bulbs.

believe it or not some does.... even did stupid thing....... this happen to my friend & my neighbour (I hope she doesn't read this forum..) see, she went to the shops with her mum. then when she returned to the car, the car won't start at all, she tried many times, becomes desperate, and decided to call RACV guy. RACV guy comes up 15 mins later, sits in the car and start the car in less than 30 seconds. Solution?? Move the shift from D to park, start engine. Problem solved. Turned out she left the car in D, turned the engine off and went shopping. She was pretty much embarrased that day I tell ya :-) I can't help but ROFL when she told me that hehehe...

no skyline chick, I get what you mean but I am thinking the way around. you forgot, the car is still in 'D' and you pull up handbrake and get out and leave.... that's what I mean... it's not easy being a non-native english speaker. handbrake may not hold that long enough.....

Rus, check ur pm and email

Leon, The idea is you're not suppose to run your car's engine while unattended, also engine must turn off when you remove the key from the ignition. even tho u can argue you'll be watchin ur car close by while on turbo timer countdown, the turbo timer installation by itself allows the engine run while you are away from your car. I guess that will prevent events of unexpected fire where you won't be there, or a car suddenly shifted into gear for some bizarre reasons, or forgot to leave the car in "D" in autos and turbo timer running then suddenly car slides forward when the handbrake loose grips, or any other reasons. And those who have remote engine starter in their alarm, they're not legal. I have one, and was told it's not legal. Also remote power windows up/down as one of the roadworthy requirement is that electric windows must not be operating when key is off the ignition. There's so many little rules and grey areas when it comes to legality such as this.

Throttle Position Sensor. My Fix. Problems Gone.
rs73 replied to Cubes's topic in General Automotive Discussion
My car idling a bit high around 900rpm even when warm (air con off). When aircon on, every time the compressor kicks in to cool air, the rpm will drop to 500rpm, almost stalled the car, then somehow the engine or the ecu managed to keep it up to around 700-800 rpm again.... Is this caused by the same TPS or something else? My car has automatic ECU (was an automatic now converted to manual). Should I change to manual ECU? -
are they for GTS-T or GT-R? looks a bit different to the one on this page: http://www.perfectrun.com.au/real_size_ima...rutbracebar.htm no offense, but are they original nismo or copies?

Keep up hope, do not despair.... 2 Years ago I thought R33 skylines would be a dream never came true for me, but hey, look I'm driving one now! So I am confident I can someday be in an R34 GT-R.
-
Ivan, The price I was quoted (A$1895) is from Auto Concept. They are located in Victoria, somewhere around Springvale Rd/Wellington Rd in south eastern suburb.
-
At least the R35 GT-R still have stove tail lights.. unlike the V35 skylines, they aren't skylines anymore.... Styling were a bit towards 350Z style that kind of thing... Good thing is, new 35 range models mean the R34 prices would eventually come down, not sure how long or how much, but at least the R34 won't be considered the current model anymore... and in the top end market will always seek the current model. In 3-5 yrs majority of us here might be driving R34s.

DAve, Where is the Black Spur you mention about? is it along the GOR?
-
T think the new concept styling would take some time to get used to.

jvs007: talk to meggala on this forum, he's done a conversion on his R32. I have done on mine too, but mine is a R33. Quite a big job but it's not something that a good skyline specialist can't handle. R31 Chick: why are your speedo out by 20kph?? are you still using the auto speedo cluster? I changed mine to a manual speedo cluster, so should be pretty accurate.
