Depends on how many panels involved and how close the scratch to the next panel. If it's too close, the panel beater might need to paint to panels at least to blend the colours in. But since you have black car, I suppose it's not as hard as any other colour. I had done about $600 respray for two panels (rear quarter & door) on my previous car with metallic baby blue colour.

GTR-B0Y, any pics of your front bar? What do u mean the front bar needs work? is it damaged, how bad is the damage?
-
A genuine front bar won't cost that much. with $3k only you would have a genuine strong front bar, that would be sufficient enough for front impact crash rating. Not a cheap fibreglass copy for $650 that might get you killed or leave you with $10k repair bill on your car, as these cheap copies are only as strong as paper in the event of an accident. So, I'm saving for a genuine one. Maybe I'll get that $1800 genuine veilside front bar. Whole kit with side skirts shouldn't cost more than $6k. The E1 style is not bad. Looks like it's using the standard blinkers as well.

Aftermarket steering wheel is legal providing that the diameter of that wheel is not smaller than 33cm across. My momo race wheel is 35cm across so it's legal. Many aftermarket steering wheels are offerend in two sizes, 32cm & 35cm. The 32s are not legal. This is based on RTA vehicle modification guide. I dunno about vicroads but I suppose the size standard should be similar. But if you have airbag as standard equipment, you're not allowed to change your steering wheel unless you have written permission from Dept of Transport (or RTA or Vicroads ?) before you do that.

I have an alarm that has remove windows up/down. Never had problems with any mobile phones. Maybe the frequency interferes with the mobile phone.

which brings up a question..... The R33 Nismo 400R are based on GT-R? Are they actually RWD or 4WD like GT-Rs?
-
Denham, You mean the best speed running on foot past those detectors?
-
The idea is like a skyline on a roller coaster track? Maybe shoot a different angle on the car and make it looks like the car is zooming down the roller coaster... That'll be awesome.... esp if you can add a bit streaky effect to suggest speed and movements....
-
Denham, I haven't put my speedo on yet, too busy. Hope it's easy enough to do by myself as I never dismantle my dashboard before. Does anyone know if that speed check thing on Princes Fwy from Geelong inbound still works? The one that displays your speed on the monitors under the crossover bridge. Ever since they had a roadwork there I never seen em working again. That's one place where you can check if 100 km/h on your speedo is really 100km/h. Or you cross reference with another car, ask your mate/bro/sis to follow you doing 60/80/100 and then check if their speedo reading and yours are similar. I did that once with my old 86 Cressida and found that to cruise at "real" 60km/h, I need to speed up to 70km/h as that old speedo was buggered! No wonder when I drove that old car 60km/h on the main road, 10 out of 10 ppl are tailgating me! In reality, I was travelling 50km/h only hahaha...

Oh, and the reason I didn't consider R32 GT-R even thou it's the legendary car that beats every1 ass back in Bathurst, the styling is getting out dated. As for my personal taste, I'd rather get a car with newer styling as the interior is what you'll be staring at most of the time when you drive your car.
-
I wouldn't mind R34 GT-T, as it's a newer car, and the NEO RB25 DET engine already has 206kw factory claimed output to start with. With a lighter body shell compared to GT-R, any decent power upgrade would be noticeable, and I don't have to drive a super quick car on the road as mainly using the car to drive to work everyday. R33 GT-R and R34 GT-T could be a tough choice, but if it's late R33 GT-R, go the GT-R (like 97 model or newer). But if it's the R34 GT-R we're talking about, then it's the R34 GT-R then. But price is the deterrent factor, I need that single jackpot tatslotto win then I'll buy a nice R34 GT-R

I got my Trust MX brand new from www.takakaira.com

Here's my line taken during a visit to country side. The view at my friend's place is awesome.

I have a skylines and luv 'em but I don't wear my caps backward, and my shirt collar are always folded neatly. What a lame generalisation you have there... where's this stupid idea comes from anyway?

SAU & SDU even share the same IP, if the ISP told you they moved you to different server and charge you $$$ for it, maybe you should take it up to them as these two forums r not going anywhere and the ISP is just pocketing your $$$
-
What do you mean move to new servers? as far as I'm concern, isn't this forum hosted on the same machine as the SDU forum too (the nz one). I traced it and both end up to the same server! That gala.endsurfer.com thing! ========================================== Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] © Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. Sorry to hear your story. Hope your R32 gets here in no more delay and don't get into much trouble under the new regulation. We (parents & I) had a home loan with Commonwealth, had a similar bad experience with HSBC when applying home loan 3 yrs ago where we end up getting threaten to be reported to credit rating authority if we don't pay the $125 processing fee, which we misunderstood from the contract wording. My dad was led to believe that we didn't have to pay anything if we refuse their offer, but the contract stated in a way that we still have to pay that bloody $125 even though we refuse their offer! That's one of the reasons why I never open an account with HSBC till now. And for my current personal loan, I'm with St George.....
-
Did you check the material on that $800 one? If the material are pretty strong and thick then you got a good quality one. Some cheaper copies are way too thin, make sure the $400 one is not made of the thinner material that will flap around and crack at the slightest bump.

why would anyone wanna go to starbucks if there's thousands of other local pop & mom cafes in australia that made better coffees than them? starbucks might work in usa or singapore where they dunno how to make real coffee, but here... no way.

Is the R33 skyline oil filter interchangable with Maxima as well? I heard the front wheel bearings are interchangeable. Seems like Maxima is the closest parts bin for skyline, I suppose due to the similar gross weight range and engine cylinders/capacity? But one is V6 3.0 and the other is I6 2.5
