  1. Re: your worries on the CVT... then why don't you consider the 350GT sedan (without the -8) you do realise that the V35 sedan is also available in 5 speed conventional automatic (same as 350Z's & V35 coupe's) transmission as well? It even is available in 6sp manual if you look hard. Re: ride height, I have no idea.
  2. on cold mornings my car would blow billowing white smoke @ traffic light, that much up to a level it's quite embarrasing like I'm some american Apache / Sioux indian chief trying to send a smoke signal to a neighbouring village... it goes on till the car well warmed up a bit. same case? or just a normal case of having too much water vapour in exhaust? car is garaged
  3. got a few SAU member inquiry here in VIC as well... I reckon VIC 3rd?
  4. Yes, so now we have a video evidence - anytime Juan need a certificate of electrical safety, we can point the finger @ Nelson - LOL
  5. yeah, iphone sucks man LOL
  6. pretty much everyone has done their homework with photos... except Yun 'ehm'.... :-)
  7. yeah, bring your car next time :-) photos & link to vid also uploaded on my facebook
  8. It's only 52MB, might be too big via email but if you have MSN then I can shoot it over...
  9. Here goes the video... just a simple edit using Windows Movie Maker - nothing fancy... Hope you like the sound-track, didn't have much 'vocab' of sound tracks on my laptop - LOL Melbourne Skyline Meet Video - by rs73 (Rianto) EDIT: Youtube actually removes my audio track as it matched a copyrighted content... so I had to replace it with one of Youtube's pre-licensed audio... whatever
  10. Re-Cap of our meet today: We started with 4 cars (those who make it on time 10:00am to the car wash) and we ended up with 4 cars cruising down to Mordialloc for a late lunch. All up we have 6 cars at the car wash, 2 sedan (white, blue) and 4 coupes (3 silvers yay! and 1 white). Thank's Juan for providing us with the special VIP car wash treatment, sure are a joy to see those Vs all gleaming and shining... even turned the head of a green Nur Spec R34 GTR driver that drove past... We then cruised down to Mordialloc via Lygon St, City, Albert Park & St Kilda and along the coast. Turned a few heads indeed. So we're only down 1 compared to last time we had 7 who turned up.... MissV35 where are you? shopping in Myer? :-) Anyway here are the photos... video coming up I gotta do some editting & authoring as the camcorder records it in HD format's AVCHD or something which can be a pain to get out... Someone did whinge about number plates the last time I posted some photos - so even though we're not doing anything illegal, I've blured/erased the number plates out of these... pm me if you want your photos with your number plates 'intact'. Post up your photos too if you have them ready... mine's taken with the camcorder so the quality was only 4MP at most... We're relying on Nelson's & Vincent's whose seem to have the most pro DSLR looking cameras on the day!
  11. I'll bring a video camera... too bad no car mount, so won't be any driving videos I'm afraid... unless I can find a camera man... or a stunt man if you wanna tie yourself on the roof/bonnet LOL
  12. man, these cars have more electronics than a scud missile guiding system... good luck solving it... they must have knocked something over or something not connected properly, or the ecu detected that you've been naughty and changed something you shouldn't changed and decided to go on limp mode
  13. home alone this month (mrs away), so might pop in... been a while not been to any meetings... I'll bring the V35... (wish it's R35 but anyway...)
  14. and are you coming to the meet this weekend? hope the issue won't affect
  15. Brad, what were you doing with it actually?
  16. did you leave any O2 sensor or AFM unplugged?
  17. the longest we had is about 6 weeks when we went away for wedding and honeymoon she is still well toilet trained afterwards but she develops a habit of staying in the backyard for 1 hr or 2 after her wee... i guess that is her playtime in the kennel. as she was in the courtyard suite, she gets about 1 or 2 hrs longer time in the play area as there's less dogs to share with, and she was doing well when we picked her up, no issues whatsoever. that cost us a lot, over $1k from memory as we were away during high season with the extra daily surcharge applied. i'd suggest u ring them, and see for inspection, look at both general kennel and courtyard suite they have, and you can decide how much u wanna spend for your lovely dogs
  18. price is listed click on dog boarding on lhs then click on price they're not rock bottom cheap but if u want ur dog housed in a kennel that treat dogs like meat for half price then it's ur choice. they're recommended kennel for those who value their dogs. operated by a couple who are dog lovers not unlike some kennels i've seen is operated by some bikies whose fav pet dog is a pitbull and shouted banging on cages when they're barking in front of us. we stay as far as possible from that other 'dodgy' kennel after initial inspection, and go with tree tops and we never look back since.
  19. ha ha ha, all our sheets are from Target... probably not even 500 thread count... we finally get the dog trained properly after we watch's It's You or Your Dog or It's Me or My Dog ? show by that girl Olivia? Victoria from a UK tv show... yes you do need to show who's boss when it comes to dogs, and some owners including my wife spoiled their dogs way too much. lucky we got ours sorted out, better late than never... and most important is cos now we have a newborn so the dog MUST stay off bed for good
  20. Re: dog in bed... that is not hillarious, some dogs are way too pampered or spoiled that they won't sleep anywhere else but on their master's bed. Not so bad if they choose the foot of the bed (like ours used to do) - but it does gets worse when it chooses to sleep along side or in between couples as it can be a real pain and hindrance.... Common phenomenon found in couples with no children (or older couples where children has moved out) as dogs often become a child-substitute for those type of owners. Otherwise the owner just spoiled the dog too much. ours did that as she was spoiled by my wife before we got married, although the dog slept on the foot of the bed and she's only a small maltese shitzu. it takes us a lot of 'heart of stone' to force her to sleep at her own pooch bed, first by changing our bed mattress into something too high for the dog to jump up, and to bear/ignore the spoiled cry of the dog when she couldn't get up to her usual fav spot. after a few heartbreaking nights she was finally trained to sleep on her own bed. Now she sleeps on the floor or at her own pooch bed... Re: kennels. I can vouch for tree tops in Sunbury, as we've sent ours there twice and no problems. You get photos update via email so you can always have a piece of mind that your pampered pooch is doing ok. 2 dogs from the same family can be in a single pen so it saves u a bit money and less stressfull for the dogs so they're not separated from their usual play partner. you can opt for the standard kennel at the back, or opt for 'luxury suites' where dogs are kept separate to main kennel, much quieter - ideal for timid dogs and dogs recovering from injury or surgery, and they have separate play area which is shared with less dogs in the suite compound so that means they get more playtime.
  21. What is your daily budget? kennels can be quite expensive, but we found this kennel is quite good, they're in sunbury and we've used them a few times for our very timid Maltese Shitzu. FYI Sunbury is just 16mins from Airport so you can pickup your dog straight after you landed (if you get picked up or park long term at the airport or if your taxi driver don't mind). http://www.treetopsboarding.com.au You need all the usual C5 vaccination stuff though. They provide food unless u have special diet for your dog you may need to provide your own.
  22. well my 'advanced' repair peels off just after 3 months... what a rip off... I'm going to re-repair mine, this time taking it to Neway which cost cheaper than the other place which I thought was more 'advanced'... won't name it here but you get a clue from my quotes....
  23. gee you guys just won't learn do you? stop saying auto = 'down side' it's actually an up-side as it's a breeze to cruise in traffic jam, and it's fun to drive in tiptronic mode... most exotics euro supercars these days have ditched the conventional manual. the V36 auto now have paddle shift. auto is an up side
  24. for series 1 WGNC34 stagea, read the first post of this thread. front DBA4909 or RDA909S equivalent rear DBA4908 or RDA908S equivalent need to shave off the diameter of the rear 908 as per 1st thread. but as per SK's comment, you need to read a few pages of the thread to find out if shaving off 30mm off the rear 908 will cause cracking or issue or not...
  25. I can only tell you that series 1 & series 2 rotors sizes are different, but I can't tell if calipers is the same or not. Non brembo V35 series 1 front rotors = 296mm od (same as 350Z touring) rear rotors = 292mm od (same as 350Z touring) Non brembo V35 series 2 front rotors = 320mm od (same as 350Z 17" update model) rear rotors = 308mm od (was told 350Z 17" update model rotors won't fit because ADM 350Z used 190mm handbrake shoe while V35 S2 uses 170mm handbrake shoe?)
