  1. same, I never heard of that feature on a Nissan V35... maybe buy a VW Golf... like me :-) You get triple blinker as standard alongside other smart features like rain sensing wipers, auto dimming mirrors etc. LOL
  2. no idea, I grab that pic from random google search on 'oem g35 front spoiler'
  3. I always come home too late to take pics... will have to do it Sunday the only 'free' day I've got, but it will be like the picture below... (The V35 front lip spoiler that attaches to the front bumper) The gel coated is white. Will take pic of the actual item this weekend.
  4. I dont have bumper but I have OEM front lip for V35 coupe - gel coated, brand new ready to paint any colour.... Sold my V35 thus selling it...
  5. pics if anyone wants to see them, u know what they look like anyway... as mentioned, mint, no gutter rash.
  6. maybe take it to Nissan? they may need to reset the error code for you... if they will touch an import, some dealers won't, some will.
  7. saw a silver V36 coupe this evening as I was waiting at the traffic light, queen and abeckett st in the city... it looks really like a V35, in flesh both cars look very similar... kind of like 370Z and 350Z
  8. I thought that feature only for the passenger side seat on 2dr coupe?
  9. maybe a pedestrian safety crash feature? where the back of the bonnet pops up in the event of a frontal crash in the effort to reduce the impact of pedestrian falling on the bonnet so they sustain less injury...
  10. yeah you're deaming mate. LOL I don't see how those Toyota Soarer increase in value when they slapped a Lexus SC badges on them... at the end of the day when that happened (Infiniti arrives) most V35 on the market would be about 7-12 years old!
  11. 2nd hand market is over stocked with too many cars. ask siu_loong_bao aka Nelson - he just sold his S1 sedan - took him a while, he was on the verge of trading it in, one of the exit strategy left with shitty trade in price, until lucky he got a buyer. he was quoted under 11k for trade in. what is your asking price? I sold my S1 v35 coupe, a more popular 2dr, for a little over $25k with all the goodies. that's about 5k what others were asking on the market. not what I was after, but that was my exit opportunity
  12. the problems with aftermarket warranty is they are normally 'limited' to a certain amount per part or per claim, e.g. a maximum of $2000 per claim or $500 on gearbox, $500 on engine etc. You'll need to read between the fine prints to find out about it. especially if the warranty is provided 'free' with the purchase, it's usually the basic plan/cover. the difference between that and factory warranty (IF the car is officially imported by Nissan in full volume) then factory warranty covers all the cost for covered parts, with exception some extended warranty offered by individual dealer above the factory warranty period, but again that is aftermarket warranty that dealer offers. again, for others it may not be such an issue, but after having to spend hours trying to fix some stuff on my V35, or the amount of money spent on getting navigation, etc sorted as there's no australian version coming out of nissan, I would rather not having to do it myself on a V36 due to the complexity of electronics and interior/body panels etc - not to mention seeing some of you has had trouble with various stuff in the car (and for unlucky few that has problem with CVT-8 (ouch!) transmission) - so having a factory warranty now becomes one of my must have criteria when getting my next car. thus, I'll wait till Skyline becomes an official Nissan local delivered car before I'll even consider to come near one again... But of course this is Skyline forum with a great affection towards grey imports, so I can understand if not everyone agrees with me. I heard Infiniti is coming to Australia in 2012 - now that will be a major turnaround... but until then I'll just sit tight for now. Most local delivered cars are just as good these days - with equipment level & performance on par or better than the v35/v36 skylines.
  13. first time I saw APS kit in flesh was on a 350Z @ one of the Sandown drive day. I dunno how they do it in single turbo, does that mean the turbo is driven only by exhaust gas from 3 cylinders? IMHO the TT setup was better as you can put 2 smaller, responsive turbos driven by 3 cylinders each. you'd want more response on daily basics... lag at low end with high top end is good for drag race strip, in traffic, with lag, you'd find it very painful if you need to overtake, swap lanes and do a zippy manouvre etc.
  14. the spec are very good, now, if only they are officially Australian-delivered by Nissan :-( $45k is way too much to spend IMHO on a car that is not supported / warranty backed by local dealers...
  15. $450 is nothing... My VW Golf is said around the $450 mark. Some BMW/Merc might be up to $800-ish. Brand does not become a gauge to the price of the FOB keys, you can buy a jap car with over $600 per key yet some european prestige cars can be about $350-500 only. it all depends on model of the car, year made, and the complexity of the immobiliser / security feature fitted in the car. There was a drive.com.au article , read here: http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-news/...0813-122qa.html
  16. For Sale 4 (set) of Nissan Skyline V35 coupe OEM 18" Alloy Wheels - No Tyres. $800 for the set - any takers here before I posted this on eBay up for grabs from other punters nationally? Spotless, no gutter marks, comes with 20 wheel nuts and Nissan centre caps. Sold my V35 with the aftermarket rims on it so I don't require to keep this around anymore. Rims are basicaly in AS NEW condition, I've got boxes for them so I can ship interstate with additional courier cost if required. Otherwise, u're welcome to pick them up and pay cash.
  17. sounds like hail damage...
  18. not me, won't be pestering you this time, Chris - LOL... see avatar for a hint...
  19. is it that bad that they can't be resprayed/repainted?
  20. Spotted a white V35 coupe tonight on Ballarat Rd towards city around 6pm at the intersection of Rosamond rd & Ballarat rd... I'm in the black GTI going towards Sunshine...
  21. Well I guess another person won't be joining the cruise... Nelson aka siu_loong_bao has sold his V35 sedan... congrats by the way... and being in Canberra it'll also make it harder for him to come down just for a cruise...
  22. congrats for the sale... another V35 hopefully goes to a good new home...
  23. oh and regarding the wrx/forrester, never a fan of them, especially since the bug eye styling from then onwards IMHO the impreza styling has gone backwards, and the current model has clear/silver taillights a-la Lexus IS200/300 / RX350 which I am not a fan of... give me a hot, burning red tail lights, not one of those disco ball silver reflector tail lights... yuck! yeah, I went with the DSG, 5 door, as the main criteria is my wife must be able to drive it, and must have rear doors for easy access to put the baby seat when I need to.
  24. and out of 5, only 3 has 5 doors so that limits down my option. out of 3 that has 5 doors, only 2 has DSG so that cuts down my option down even further between 2 $65k small hatchback... even with extensive haggling don't think I'll get much luck to get it under $60k ever, and even if I do, $15-20k more to spend than what I am willing to is way too much money and can't be justified for.
  25. they are in stock, in very , very limited numbers. No they're not called the R20, they're simply called 'R' - I think due to some marketing decision that VW don't wanna go down in number from R32 to R20... the R is 188kw with AWD system. There are 5 in Victorian dealership if you wanna try your luck test driving one of those... http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/result...&Ntk=CarAll
