    Earthquake?

Well, seismologists/vulcanologists predicted another huge volcano eruption is long overdue in Australia, by about 2000 years overdue... Prior to this, we had an earthquake that was centerred in korrumburra, (gippsland) and then there was this earthquake in Java and Bali... the whole volcanic belt in Asia Pacific is going active from its slumber, it's all linked together...
  2. hm, your car will smell like a manicure shop
  3. oh my... the car, or the old guy???
  4. Probably now... Yes... But... in a few years time when V35 becomes as common as R33/R34.... then you may ask the question again... does someone who drives Toyota RAV4 do salute to another Toyota RAV4 driver? does someone who drives Ford Falcon do salute to another Ford Falcon driver? does someone who drives BMW 535i do salute to another BMW 535i driver?
  5. Ali, please use the new thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rd...ro-t282829.html This old thread is not monitored.
  6. it will fit. Factory g35 brembo USDM = 350Z USDM. I bought a similar set a while ago as well, and it fits onto my JDM V35. no problems... PS: got your pm, will reply asap.
  7. no idea still waiting for seller reply, but at such cheap price under $20 might worth taking a chance
  8. if cut & polish can't get it out, well then... That photo you showed me, that is at least a 2 panel job, possibly requiring blending in on the front guard (3 panels) depending how close the scratch is to the door hinges. how much is your insurance excess? if it's $500, and you want to be very anal about the quality, I would suggest get it done via insurer's repairer. Going via approved insurance repairer will give you security in case the result is bad and you need to come back... if they do a bad job, you can always complaint to your insurer to have it repaired at no extra cost to you. If your excess is $1000-1500, probably you'd be better off going private.
  9. Too much dickheads walking around in the city. Might worth consider to spend extra $$$ for the secure parking, no matter how expensive it is... My brother's mint Accord Euro was also keyed in the city, in Lt Lonsdale st in front of just a normal apartment... Always do try cut & polish first and see if it buffs out... if not, looks like at least a $600 professional panel job for you.
  10. is it new battery, or is it the original one that comes with the car from Japan? sitting in the auction yard and in the dock over a few months could easily killed the battery. but best to find out what verdict it is, is to bring it to battery shop and have them tested whether your system is charging, and if the battery is healty.
  11. Found out my guitar is made in one of Epiphone's Korean factory from pre-Chinese era... (year 2000)... The later 2003-2004+ issue of the Emperor II are all made in China (QingDao factory), which I read from most people who tried them, the later quality are not as good as the korean ones... Even harder to find / more valuable are early 80s epiphone which were still made in Japan (Fuji / Tereda factories) which are hard to get these days... Anyway, the action on this one is quite good, and since the previous owner 'polished out' the original gold finish, I'm ordering some replacement parts from US to restore the tailpiece, pickguard bracket all back to its original gold colour finish, and I've ordered some gold Grover tuner machine to upgrade those generic tuners, and a pair of Seymour Duncan gold SH-1 '59 pickups for that vintage 60s Jazz/blues tones... Can't wait for the mods parts to arrive!
  12. 18" is an option every one can tick in Japan.... almost anything can be ticked as an option, the combination are almost limitless...
  13. Most non premium will come with 17" my premium auto comes with 18" - I've seen a lot of premium autos with 18" in auction...
  14. cos it's an american car... it's already wrong from the start LOL big ugly heavy box anyway back to topic, the projector light is always brighter. if you can find a V35 Series 2 projector light I was told it will be brighter than Series 1, just becareful when shopping don't end up with a pair of USDM G35 Infiniti headlights, as what people have written on this forum, they're illegal due to the beam pattern is designed for LHD, not RHD... make sure you get JDM V35 S2 headlights.

apparently forcing to sell does not make people learn... there is always a loophole where the car is "purchased" by a friend's friend who then make its way (sold) back to the original convicted owner... then they're back on the street hooning... or take someone's license away but I am still seeing news of people getting caught driving while suspended... so that won't make anyone learn a lesson too.. corona might be a good idea, but once corona is crushed the fourth time is going to get crushed as well.. the offence history don't 'reset' itself like demerit point after 12 months. third , fourth, fifth onwards = crush... get used to driving corona forever.
  16. spotted silver V35 coupe yesterday on dynon road around 5:45pm going into the citylink, I was side by side and went straight...
  17. interesting... carmakers by default always tune a car's handling to induce understeer... after all, despite being disliked by seasoned circuit racer and drifters, understeer does saves live... your chance of survival is greater if you hit a tree head on with all those crumple zone in the bonnet to absorb the shock around you and you landed on that airbag deployed out of the steering wheel... even with side airbag, ending up sideway with a tree trunk into the cabin through the door has a lot more potential death threat, a metal door is metal but how thick can a door be?

or buy an car with automatic gearbox and install a rev limiter set at 3000rpm..... the most you'll do in most cars with that rev is 110km/h on the freeway...
  20. there is no easy way to get to them. these xenon bulbs are not meant to be replaced for the lifetime of the vehicle, I have looked around behind the lights from engine bay there's just no way to access it... from the wheel shroud might be another idea... I think Nissan designed the lights to be non-user-serviceable item... for most common people who cbf diy. if the high beam bulb is burnt, then its kind of like "replace it at your next dealer service"
  21. material? CF? stainless? OEM plastic?
  22. I believe the way it works is by electronic brake distribution (ebd) which means it can 'clamp' either sides of your front brakes in order to stabilise the car, as it sees fit... it works on all 4 wheels through the abs system
  23. don't have any diagrams though... chris told me gotta take front bumper off to get access to the lightbulbs... it's a hassle but these xenons are meant to live a lifetime of the vehicle
  24. yes, i got mine off ebay too... u can find 5000K if you want it 'whiter' but as suggested try not to go over 6000K as the light will just turn bluer from that point on and dimmer...

I think that is only related to the hoon law... if someone get caught hooning: burning tyres, drifting, excessive speed etc... first offence car will be impounded for 24 hours, 2nd offence I think is a few days, 3rd offence car will be impounded forever, or crushed under the metal crusher... nothing to do with increasing impound level. the driver is still gonna get a fine in the mail and still possibly go to court depending the severity of the offense. hoon law has been around quite a number of years now, and many repeat offenders have had their cars crushed.
