  1. we're talking about sthin else here... nothin to do with translation or conversion... but still interface related
  2. any time you prefer tomorrow? i'll wait around. not spending another zone 1 & 2 train tickets & 2.5 hours of transit/travel time... geez they're expensive these days...
  3. i know a secret.. dun worry my lips are sealed... spoiling the surprise is kind of spoiling the fun hm, off now to angle that camera up a bit ha ha
  4. the V35's ciggy lighter might be too deep for it, or it just need to turn sideways at an awkward angle... upon further search I found even more weird stuffs.. some looks like one of those StarTrek USS entrprise space ship... I can't help but laughing at the shape of this. must be a star trek fan who design it.
  5. nah, Brad, I reckon that's a good on topic comparison... I refill my V35 pretty much once every 2 weeks if I don't use it on weekends. that's 5 days a week daily commuting 25km each way (50km-ish a day). So about 550km maybe to a tank, of about 62ltr fill. so it's 11.2ltr/100km on a 206kw 3.5ltr engine In my old R33, I had to refill every week. I think it was only doing like 300-350km a tank, of about 55ltr. so it's about 15.7ltr / 100km on a 187kw 2.5ltr engine. when I had it modded to 230rwkw it was even worse. I think 250km-300km is the best i could get.
  6. have u used any of these? if I get desperate - cos they're cheap ha ha, I know they wont' sound good
  7. I'll drop in friday then, just in case u ran out of time on sat.
  8. it works on and off while driving with the other trip computer screen/ original jap nav... but not on the tv tuner... once it's on, it refuses to switch back to the tuner. the only way to get the tv tuner back is to turn off / on engine to reset it. wish u could tell me 'cut the yellow wire' thing that'll save me a trip down... LOL sat might be difficult, i need to look after the kid while wife's away.
  9. nothin to do with handbrake. if engine is turning/running... once nav is on, the magic button refuses to turn it back off.... magic button only works when engine is off, or when I turn off the engine and restart it again (in magic button off position) and don't touch it...
  10. sthing to do with handbrake? i was in the garage, engine running, handbrake on. gimme a sec i go and retry with handbrake off
  11. please remember guys... speed kills.... if it doesn't kill you, it screws your wallet and license... they should change the slogan now... speed screws...
  12. rang u n left u a msg, I think I need to come back tomorrow if you're still here... the magic button only works when engine off and key in Acc or On position. when engine started/running, the magic button didn't work against TV, it only works against trip computer, weird. any idea why? i hope it's an quick easy rewiring fix.
  13. actually, I corrected re: regrets... after having our 1st son - I actually kind of regret that I should have bought the sedan in the 1st place. however lucky we have a RAV4 for the mrs to bring the kid around, but 2 four-doors in the house would always be great in case one is out of action e.g. service or breakdown... but mechanically /comfort/ performance wise - no regrets...
  14. well if you're after a power you should not start with such a heavy wagon body in the first place... I would have thought ppl who buy stagea would have practicality as the 1st priority - the huge cargo space, and performance would be 2nd or 3rd down the priority list... on V35 i believe practicality (sedan) or either comfort is high on priority list, since the engine is N/A from the start it won't be as responsive to mods as older skylines' turbo engine - without going to costly forced induction... I have no regrets on the V35, despite I'm down probably 100rwkw from my old car (modified turbo r33) and have no plan whatsoever to modify the engine... that said there are no reason to rebuild V35 6sp manual or 5sp auto gearboxes unless you are doing forced induction upgrade or the car has done over 300,000 km. 8sp CVT should be no reason for it to break down unless it had been poorly (in other word, never) maintained in japan
  15. question is was it on outbound or inbound lanes? I was there about the same time you were, but probably earlier... did u see the cop car on the inbound lanes, facing the wrong direction on the centre median?
  16. I told you price differs so much... you're in QLD and cost you $500 a year, I'm in VIC and it cost me $1000 a year... ppl in NSW are likely to pay more than that...
  17. nothing really - providing you maintain it as per manufacturer's recommendation... and common sense... e.g. no dumping high revs into Drive. talk to your Nissan dealer and ask them to just follow 350z's service schedule you'll be alright. the on board trip computer can easily get 'fooled' into false reading, but on daily commuting non-highway traffic I get around 500km+ per tank fill of around 60ltr no idea about body kit, just source them through nengun or import from japan... or usa. very hard question to answer regarding insurance as it all depends on postcode as well as what you paid for the car. although I have got my price but I won't answer that because I found NSW people's insurance cost can be as much as $1k more than us in Victoria...
  18. well with everyone around me seems to be doing 110 on eastern fwy, I'm surprised they haven't tried to cash in the revenue till now...
  19. I think he's still pretty busy... he just finished mine today... I got reverse camera now, although it doesn't tell me 100% whether I'm gonna hit something or not but at least it's helpful to see what's behind me with 150 degree wide angle view.... hm, chris the way you mounted the camera so low, it's very strategic when reversing against a bunch of chics in mini skirts... LOL
  20. sorry mate, no idea... it was a one and only find
  21. I'm due in tomorrow... but mine hopefully won't take too long...
  22. can you post pic on yours?? those who installed the tranny cable, just wondering how far up you need to squeeze underneath? With the car jacked and on stand, is it easier to squeeze in from the driver side (since the instruction said it was on US' passenger side), or is it easier from the front on?
  23. I had Maltech one on my R33 and it didn't have a clear cover put over the top. It does however have a round 1cm of rubber sleeve at the end of the hose fitting, with ADR approval number imprinted on it.
  24. he is after a set for sedan, not coupe unless the seller sells another set for sedan, that one won't fit.
  25. hope it's nailed this time, Millos... otherwise mine may not get done tomorrow ;-)
