  1. I'm on parental leave that week, I'll drop it off 17th early morning if I have to! LOL
  2. yeah, hopefully... did you hear the news about digital radio on radio? i wonder if our Bose stereo can receive the signal without modifications, and whether the digital radio will be broadcasted through the DTV channels just like the ABC Digg Jazz and SBS radios?
  3. I'll ring you shortly - gotta find my phone, it's somewhere... LOL
  4. even with 2 antennas mine always droppnig in and off... depending where you are relative to the nearest tv relay station, and where your dual antenna is installed, i find on my car I get better reception travelling east west, and worse reception travelling north south. i know for melbourne we have a transmitter up mt dandenong in the east. and I live in the west. that probably explain why, and my antennas are stuck on front and rear windscreens. i know there's a guy @ the meet who have the same antenna as mine (probably Chris Roger's unit) whose got his antennas mounted on both sides of the rear quarter windows. I'm not sure about which one is better, keen to hear from the owner of that car whether his reception is better or not.

  6. Hi Adrian, I don't sell calipers, sorry - you could either get a can of heat resistant paint and paint your caliper, or browse the net for a set of red calipers. Does your 2004 V35 have brembo calipers? Let me know - cheers.

  8. Made in Mexico to USA is like Made in China to Australia
  9. yeah, I find most Nissans have very smoky engine especially on cold weather start... heaps and heaps of smoke too... my previous R33 was like that, wasn't the best sounding engine at idle too, but it did went through 5 yrs of ownership and 70,000km of "ab"use with no dramas.
  10. but on a brighter note, your mechanic could be wrong... or over estimating the actual kms... you never know unless your car comes with full service history from japan...
  11. i have no idea. just get it carbon clean. if it still no good then yeah, sell it... welcome to the import world, where wound back km are as common as a white car in a fleet of courier delivery vans.
  12. it's probably only been serviced once or twice over its entire life in Japan. you can get a good mechanic do a carbon clean ( I get mine done at Nissan dealer ) and just change the oil. then see if it still having problems before deciding if you need to go for something serious eg. rebuilding engines. Mine is 50000km and there were carbon deposit, let alone yours which has done 90000km there will be more deposit if it's never been cleaned before, in which case, very likely never been cleaned. another option beside engine rebuild is buy a half cut from Japan, other option is sell the car and reimport another one with finger cross in better condition.
  13. no problems
  14. I think yesterday evening, around 5:30-ish, spotted silver V35 coupe rego WNQ*** stopping at traffic light on corner of Elizabeth and LAtrobe st...
  15. that's definitely gonna leave your number plate intact, but with every panel on your car kicked, scratched/keyed, and windows smashed.

  17. so now you can see even with theft tamper proof, any thugs out there planning on robbing some convenient store or bank would see even $50 investment in torx key as a very worthy investment.... that said, nothing, not even theft proof bolts will save number plates from being stolen
  18. Like....if you had a custom plate and decided to keep it when selling your car ?
  19. matt, check your pm. what car is it for? 20. use a nail gun and nail it along the border of your number plate. that's what we have to do in Asia. as soon as we bought our new 1989 toyota corolla se (back in 1989) we took it to a workshop to have one of the guys there to nail gun all badges, YES, those are the toyota logo, the 1.6SE badge at the boot, etc. Put a screw on the grill toyota badge as well. so they don't go missing.
  21. 370! deja vu... something wrong with the forum
