  1. hm didn't think of that the bolt will be too short... what did you replace it with? the guy who made it should have put thinner end terminals... or maybe since it's for USDM, should the bolt from the opposite side of the plenum is longer?
  2. Man, stop playing the guessing game and use this converter... http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
  3. I think the pads should be the same, just the rotor size different? Rotor Sizes: V35 early 2001-2004 Front 296mm Rear 292mm (same as 350Z early) V35 track 2003-2004 Front 324mm Rear 322mm (same as 350Z track) V35 late 2005-2008 Front 320mm Rear 308mm (Front is same as 350Z late 17" EXCEPT rear rotor inner diameter) Pads: V35 early 2001-2004 Front DP2775 or DP21636 Rear DP21666 V35 track 2003-2004 Front DP21644 Rear DP21537 V35 late 2005-2008 Front DP2775 or DP21636 Rear DP21666 DP2775 and DP21636 have very similar shape and interchangeable.
  4. Does that mean swapping wire #2 & #8 physically, or just swap the way they're connected? ie. Wire #2 & #8 same length?
  5. was told mrs @ home got delivery of a box from NSW... that'll be my grounding kit I suppose... can't wait to get my hands dirty this weekend... shouldn't be too hard to install? except the transmission point though, I'm not so sure about that... I heard it can be tricky.
  6. same setup I sold quite a few rotors and pads for early V35 coupe and they're basically early 350Z rotors and pads... The late model update is a bit tricky at the rear 308mm, V35 coupe 2005~ has rear park brake of around 170mm but a late 350Z has rear park brake around 190mm - so fitting a rear 350Z late model rotors will render the park brake useless. No issue for early V35 / 350Z either non-brembo or brembo....
  7. I would plead to the insurance company to let me write the car off and take the payout as total loss
  8. roland, quote sent.. Malz34, order added to the list... RDA group buy 48 order list: - aleks (payment cleared) - Malz34 (waiting for payment to clear)
  9. glad to finally spotted a V in melbourne that is from this forum! I think most of other ones I spotted wasn't around here... there's lots of V owners out there that probably didn't realise this forum exist.... what sedan is yours? 250/300/350GT ?
  10. Are the rotors on it came off R32 GTR or are you just using the R32 GTR calipers? If the rotors are off a R32 GTR, you can measure the front one's diameter across. If it's 297mm (around 30cm) then it's the early models 89-93 If the rotors are 324mm (around 32 1/2 cm) then it's off a 93-94 late V-Spec II model. Hope that helps...
  11. brembo are only offered for coupes
  12. how did you found out seats are being replaced? I think you might be exaggerating by saying many... if the car has bose and leather more likely they'll be premium audio control on steering wheel is optional, even a premium may or may not come with audio control on steering wheel. so does factory nav/tv, they are optional, regardless premium or not.
  13. Clarence, with the standard 2000x1333 resolution, what print size would you recommend?
  14. No I did not. I haven't touched any springs/shocks on my car since it arrived from Japan. Aren't coupe always a little bit lower than sedans? going from 245/45R18 to 275/35R19 does reduce the diameter by about 2.5mm which is not really much, and reduce the rolling diameter by about 8 mm only. maybe the car had 350Z spring or a lowered spring, but the ride felt stock - no sign of aftermarket spring feel when it was on its OEM 18" a while ago. On 19" with lower profile it does introduce a bit more harshness because of the smaller sidewall... It's also a very tidy auto so very unlikely the previous owner modified it in Japan with coilovers etc.
  15. ha ha ha, gotcha
  16. perv... here's one for you....
  17. yes it was, strange I was sure it went through/sent this morning... anyway I have re-sent...
  18. Yes. On 225/45 & 225/40, the sidewall difference is 5% of 225mm = 1.125cm On 245/45 & 245/40, the sidewall difference will be 1.225cm that would raise your ride height by that much. that's probably just what you need to clear gutter and sidewalk, driveways etc.
  19. If it has been lowered that would be the very main reason, because lowering the car without installing an offset bush or camber kit would cause the excessive negative camber, causing premature wear on the inside of the tyres....
  20. Anyone with standard Nissan V35 front aero lip found if it's scraping driveways a lot? I got mine from Japan, haven't paint & have it installed yet.
  21. Not too keen on the look of that... looks like someone with excessive scrotum around their private... The excess skin... err.. leather, I mean, needs to be circumcised...
  22. oh my oh my... rule # 1 - never stretch a tyre into different size rims... you'll break the bead around the tyre rim and it'll just a matter of seconds before the tyre sidewall gets rip apart... mind you that V35 is a relatively heavy car - around 1700kg - they will put more stress to tyre than a 900kg Toyota Starlet. so play it safe.... well if you know your 18" offset, PCD etc, just find a set of 19" with the similar spec in terms of width & offset. anything around 1 inch variance or around 5-10mm offset variance to the stock one might fit. rear is wider so they're easier to fit more aggressive offset at the back than front, as the front you need to find as close possible as to stock so when you turn your tyre don't rub the inner guard, and shave off the corner of your tyre, or causing dented guard. if you don't lower your car pretty much anything would fit... here's 19x8.5+30 & 19x9.5+25 look on my car... V35 are huge car, and even 19" looks small on it. But going 20" or over means you get hardly any sidewall protection over potholes, and will likely be bending the rims if you're not tip-toe-ing around avoiding potholes while driving...
  23. do you specialise in nightshots only or do you do dayshots too?
