  1. by the way if anyone need STRATEGY on when to wash their car.... here's next week outlook... hope it doesn't rain on friday/sat nights... keep your car undercover during the day prior to the photoshoot!
  2. agree with the part where you zoomed your car or the wagon with the grafitti filling up whole background, but the other one with the windows and railings, it's a bit too crowded, the cars stood out less in those shots... but I'm no designer/artist so that's probably just my old-timer taste with no design/art background...
  3. a blue V35 sedan with vortex s/c?
  4. But again, you're the photographer, and not all cars you're gonna photograph that night will be silver... so the choice is still yours...
  5. IMHO the grafitti don't work well with silver car, and mine's silver... it'll be nice against a bright yellow or any loud colour or at least a car with some stickers on...
  6. is this gonna be next week's location?
  7. I'm gonna re-try & yank it harder tomorrow if that didn't break them... looks like it just need to be pried hard, no screws, but looking how the thin plastic cap flexes I'm not sure if it'll survive... will let you know how i go... if they break not sure how that'll affect the accuracy of your mould
  8. damn u Millos, ha ha - has he fix it yet? oh well, work is the biggest hindrance so therefore i prefer a sat morning drop off.
  9. Well that Alfa is bad luck. Got rear ended while doing nothing, parked in front of the house. A lady which probably lives down the street where we live, was gonna overtake the parked Alfa, while she thought an oncoming car was gonna stop. She said the car didn't stop so she tried to avoid collision with the oncoming and ended up hitting the rear right corner of the alfa. bent rear bumper and reflector broken. her commodore was in worse condition with bonet bent, headlight broken, bumper bent and needing a left front guard as well as a few items like the wheel shroud. etc. she didn't runaway though, she rang the bell and told us she's hit my brother in law's alfa and sorting out the insurance detail....
  10. it's the door trim i'm worried about, the handle part wrapped in leather
  11. was that your car that Chris was working on a few weeks ago, MILLOS? I saw a badgeless silver coupe there, he ended up didn't work on mine at all since the badgeless coupe is taking him ages - whatever it is he's trying to install on the car.... it was temperamental...
  12. I played around, didn't get anywhere... almost killed my battery since took me some time with laptop and google translator with Japanese IME character recognition pad open, lots of copy paste... Going into navigation directional setting there is one setting where you adjust the % (accuracy?) with left and right turn, I am not sure what it is... probably trying to compensate for delay in the GPS signal and tuning the timing between a turning timing etc? well what the heck... it's a finicky to work with and cbf anymore...
  13. prying it open is a b1tch... they won't budge, i may have to slowly do it or something else catch from behind...
  14. mosoto might be right about the indent tab, I start noticing it a few minutes after my post... but the top one is a clip with a plastic catch, so I reckon once it's pried open from the bottom and tilted, with the same flat head i could press the catch clip at the top to release it... Blitsc,, yes you can get them, mine is 2003 model so this is a painted plastic one, painted in aluminium/silver finish. not sure about later model if that's yours, you might as well contact riverside infiniti to ask it... got mine off ebay, under riverside infiniti's store. not sure old vs new model but if the new one is brushed aluminium, and your car is early model, it may not look the same with your door latch opener. you may have to replace the whole grip and door latch/lock latch to make them look the same.
  15. We all know how easily the interior in our car can get scratched badly, especially if the previous owner in Japan fancy wearing lots of rings on their fingers... I got this from riverside infiniti, apparently the grip cap for the door trim is symmetrical so no problem ordering from USA. cost about US$90 delivered for the pair. Question is, for those of you who have pulled it apart, do you know if the grip cap is a simple pull out of the old caps or is there a screw securing the back of the cap? I saw two pins on the back of the caps and there's a hole in the middle of each pin, so that might be where a screw must have been used, but I'm not sure... see pics...
  16. next time u down here, chris, what's a good bluetooth setup and rear cam? but i think i've run out of input channel though.... unless there's a way that the rear cam 'takes over' the screen whenever it's in reverse (powered by reverse light +12v)
  17. oh yeah, druz, i think based on your order it was suppose to be slotted in normal non-gold finish, but since they can't find RDA in stock, they use EBC which comes in grooved pattern but has normal non-gold finish. so in a way you kind of getting a little 'bonus' in the form of the slot & dimple patterns.
  18. I wouldnt' suggest painting it, as they may not look nice when they start to peel off. and it might be tricky not to get any paint layer on the hub contact point between your rims and the hub or the friction area where the pads contact... plus they'll be behind the wheel most of the time it's not really that obvious whether surface rust is forming or not, as long as you use your car regularly that shouldn't be an issue, if not keep it in a garage/shed to reduce the moisture from overnight dew. but if you want you can always paint the hub if you like. I can't stop you :-)
  19. this has been discussed in another thread... do a search...
  20. RDA told me all group buy 48 rotors have been shipped out as of Tuesday 16th. Should be arriving soon... cheers.
  21. Wheelers Hill... actually that means Campbellfield is a lot closer in terms of travel time as I'm in the west.
  22. is that Damian from Final Inspection? I book my car in but he's located in the middle of nowhere so I actually wouldn't mind anyone in the same class but closer to city... so I could just jump on a tram and be at work in a few minutes, not in a few hours.
  23. anyone used Carrera Car Wash http://carreracarwash.com.au/index.html in Montague St southbank ?
  24. ha ha, congrats... my wife is now at her 37th week... not far long to go for us.... maybe we'll give you a bit of a 'driveability', 'handling', and 'NVH' review after we got ours mid July!
  25. ok, hope I hear some news by tomorrow if not Friday. if RDA brand not available you may get EBC D7122 & D7123 of the same quality & fitment in slotted.
