  1. how about use this idea but make the 350 flush with the GT at the top, therefore you can move the 'club australia' up a tad and therefore can make it inline, and also perhaps make the 350's shadow complete, rather than cut off...? or 350 shadow gradually disappear towards the bottom? and yes, I agree, it needs to be smaller, we don't want to be seen like driving in a supermarket delivery truck/ van with huge 'company' logo on the side.
  2. proportion too big... maybe kind of make it smaller for the rear quarter windows? it's just like someone wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren t-shirt with this HUGE logo over the chest and made himself kinda look like a real showoff wanker.
  3. maybe add a Nismo style side stripe under 'club australia' ?
  4. I prefer the club australia to use the curly font - gave it more elegant look... the thicker 350 GT looks better though than Tai's...
  5. Airbag Momo steering wheels is an option, I think u can have it on non-brembos , the thing is if u have bose premium u'd want a steering wheel audio control , so it would be very rare that any sensible owner in japan would wanna tick the momo option on their premium as it'll delete the audio control. i've seen track with brembos but standard steering wheel , as track model don't get it automatically
  6. I like this 350gt on black with no car, and the elegant look of that club australia font, maybe just use original 50gt badge's font?
  7. I believe the right answer to that is ..... YES Not having that code is one of the reasons I suspect seeing some seller flocking off their brand new Impul ECU or anything for V35 on ebay prior to actually using them on their car... or they may have got the codes, but they can't find a dealer who is willing to reprogram their 'grey import' and thus flocking it off ebay hoping either some poor sod took the bait or someone else luckier with reprogramming thing catch the bargain...
  8. 03/04 build only. some early 05 may have brembo due to the fact the car may be built in 04 but didn't get registered 1st time until 05, and it's common to have that misconception about the year. but basically stick with 03/04 if you definitely want to find anything with brembos. but look at it, even 05/06 model the front 320mm rotors is only 4mm smaller than 03/04 brembo fronts, and the rear 308mm is only 14mm smaller - although if you look at the calipers 05/06 only have the single piston floating calipers just like std non-brembo 03/04. so yeah, the brembo 4 piston front and 2 piston rear calipers do have advantage. or better still if you're cashed up, get 05/06 modelll and then purchase a set of brand new Infiniti G37 brake caliper rotor and set from US and custom-fit it locally. it used to be about $4k from riverside infiniti but now could be about $6k due to shitty exchange rate. The G37 sport calipers & rotors are A LOT BIGGER than 03/04 brembos... (the front alone is 355mm !! the rear is 350mm - eats Brembo for breakfast!) BUT you need to get an 05/06 with factory 19" wheels otherwise the G37 calipers won't fit behind the std rims. Oh forget the whole thing, Stephen, if you're cashed up, GET A V36 370GT SP !!! even better. no mocking around, 355/350mm brakes... sweet....
  9. they said your car need to be reprogrammed or otherwise the immobiliser will stop you from starting the car with the new ECU. if your car don't come with the metal tag with the immobiliser code on it from Japan (e.g. the prev. owner lost it) then it's pretty much a dead end for you. cos the dealer here need that immobiliser code to be able to reprogram the car on the new ECU.
  10. I thought that is only for the Z car... ? they call it the Rev Up version..
  11. PS: Tein are usually known very hard ride, even at the softest setting. S-Flex is probably the 'softest' of them all (the one you can attach to EDFC electronic controller from cabin to adjust rebound setting). Not sure about S-Tech , might be similar to S-Flex, e.g. an update model.
  12. aftermarket coilovers? are you kidding? instead of a silent hush you will get a drummer beating drums to the road rhythms.... on each corner of the car... most aftermarket coilovers are mainly designed for performance in mind with disregard to any NVH issue (noise vibration harshness) don't do it unless you plan to transform your car into a road racer that rattles and bang on every pothole. and whatever you do - stay away from those dodgy korean/chinese coilovers that you see on the internet or eBay... trust me I've seen them all on my bro in law's car, saw him change one brand to another, (I won't slander here) and they're all a piece of crap. stick with JDM brands only and you'll get better quality, but they will be either harsh or can be noisy (especially the ones with metal upper mount) there are only very few aftermarket coil overs that I know will maintain a 'prestigious' feel and quietness of the original system... my guess was probably Nismo ones but they will cost a fortune, I think what Nissan is going to charge you will look like a roast peanut bargain deal. If you found or have use any that is very quiet.... I wanna hear about it... possibly other options are Bilstein as they've known to be used as high performance OEM options on some european cars.
  13. Not anymore Stephen, not ev3n optional ! In the land where everyone sues everyone , the usa customers lodged class action against nissan/infiniti that the brembos wear out too fast (and also noisy). This prompts nissan/infiniti to use 320mm standard front and 308mm standard rear brakes and deleted any brembos option in the 05/06 update models. Fyi - early 03/04 has standard 296mm front n 292mm rear OR optional brembos 324mm front n 322mm rear.
  14. at the end of the day what matter is that 05/06 has a newer built, not how they drive. I'm interested to see this 'reports' you mentioned...
  15. so that's bad luck for 250GT & 300GT sedan owners who got left out, and those 350GT owners whose car had been rebadged with Infiniti G35 badges... :-)
  16. Way too much considering it's not a real S-tune and an early 2003-2004 model. but if it's a real S-tune you'd be having a headache if the engineer know it's not 'standard', you may be up for expensive compliance process or re-exportation... I know prices can't compete to back when A$ was over 90 JPY, but for $38k+ in my opinion at the end of the day you'll be a lot happier if you have a premium... just keep looking till the right one turn up.
  17. well for some the body kit and rims would be the main attractions... especially original body kits like that can cost a lot to buy & fit on... do you know how much it finally went for?
  18. Hm, close but no cigar... this way it kinds of read: 35V, not V35. Try swapping the V above the 35 and kind of intersecting design... you get an idea what I'm talking about?? and perhaps forget the whole GT R kind of thing/idea because we all know V35 is NOT a GTR...
  19. are you gonna have the white background cut out? so just the letters? not sure but - it needs kinda something like a more unique design/font... here's an idea from my bro's club
  20. OMG - that is one very fugly ............... (long silent ala Jeremy Clarkson) .............. V35 Skyline/G35 Infiniti... I feel sorry for the wanker who ever fork out the money to buy that horrid thing.... even sorrier if he's seen driving in it... It really turns the car looking like a hotted up Hyundai coupe... better keep that car in the states to the yanks' taste and don't it let loose on our road...

  25. If you are an audiophile, non-bose system opens an opportunity for you to put in a crazy double din top range audio system down the track. You can do it on premium with Bose, but it'll be a kind of 'waste' of the Bose head unit and speakers. If you prefer OEM look, and want something decent and not becoming a theft magnet, find a premium with Bose. It's well worth it and apart from the FM radio band expander to be abl e to receive australian frequencies, there's pretty much nothing else to spend audio wise, if you don't need other stuffs like navi, dvd playing or tv etc as they can be very distractive during driving and pretty much illegal to drive and watch anything on the screen... If you can bear the cloth seat or just a simple faux leather seat cover look, then you can save $ by getting non-premium. If you love the feel of leather and luxury, wait for a premium to come up. It'll be worth the wait.
